So my little gem of a location could have jumped from standard to water?! I don't think of it as a garden view at all.

Previously stayed at BC in a fabulous room that I thought was an upgrade...but now that I am planning my second stay, it looks like that room was a regular standard room. For us it was perfect: ground floor, corner room, facing the quiet pool, easy access to Epcot and we could walk outside to the main resort/lobby areas instead of the endless hallway maze.

Now I am reading that there are new categories and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there are any more ground level standard rooms left? I think the room I had was a hidden gem and I hope I was the only one that thought so and it's still considered standard!!!

If the view is a parking lot or a roof, then it's standard. If not, it's either garden or water.

Hey guys this is not a specific YC/BC questions but I know you'll have an answer.

I remember going to the WDWpage and adding some info to my reservation (birthday, special occasion, first visit). I added another reservation, but now I keep winding up on the page where you buy stuff. I just want to add a birthday onto one of my reservations. Do you guys remember where you can enter that stuff? Is it gone now that they have the let the memories begin pages?

Thanks,
bookgirl

You need to call dining line direct to make any special occassion changes to a reservation once booked...

Put Sgtgoofy119 with three others staying at BC from May13-24. Coming all the way form Hawaii for 1st time at DW (Been to DL so many times lost count). Had AAA request 2Q and daybed in reservation 'cause me and the adorable missus in one Queen. But my 19yo son is bringing his 19yo girlfriend and they are not sleeping in same bed. They'll have to flip a coin to see who gets the other Queen and who gets the daybed. I plan to call BC Concierge direct about 10 days out to ensure reservation says 2Q and daybed. But TeenaS made getting a rollaway easy so i'm not losing sleep over it (pardon the pun).

First of all - Hello,

This is such an amazing site and we love this thread....

We shall be staying at the Beach Club for the first time :yay::banana::woohoo: this coming August and are sooooooo excited.

We are a family of 5 and have stayed at the value resorts, then we moved to the POR (and absolutely loved it) but it has always been my dream to stay at the Beach Club. (Particularly once we had visited to see what it was like and just fell in love with the resort and atmosphere). We have booked a standard room and are on the DDP. We are keeping our fingers crossed for one of the new day beds but are sure that the standard room will suit us just fine having previously experienced a room in the value and then the moderate resorts.

We have made all of our Adr's and would now just like to be added to the list so that it is 'official':thumbsup2

We arrive on Aug 12th and depart on the 28th.

Our three (DS-11, DS-10, and DD-8) cannot wait to see SAB - we have already decided that swimwear is going in our backpacks so that they can hit the pool as soon as we check-in.

Everything sounds simply divine and whilst we do not want to wish our lives away, we do wish it was August already!!!!

Looking forward to experiencing it all for ourselves and finding out some more hints and tips from you 'experts'.

Many thanks

:welcome: to all of the new posters and future guests!

I'll get to the guest list update later today, or likely tonight.

MickeyT- page 60 I think
Nanette- still page 4? I don't think there has been much Nov. activity.

It would be helpful if the other "Keepers of the Lists" would repost today or tomorrow if you get a chance. Even it the list hasn't changed, you can repost and ask if there is anyone new.

Thanks!

Dee

Good morning! I have a question that's a little off-topic. But I know Teena, Katesdad and others are experienced cruisers, so I thought I'd ask our group here first and then I promise to get back on topic!

We are first time cruisers and trying the 3-night Disney Dream in August. We're staying one post-cruise night at BC (CL) and we just added two pre-cruise nights at BWI. (BC was not available for our room categories with the special offer, so we're trying the next best option.)

So the question: We're taking ME to/from WDW at the beginning and end of our trip. We're doing a 1-day car rental at the Dolphin to get to the Kennedy Space Center. (We really dislike car rental, but it looks very easy at Dolphin.) As for to/from the port, we're considering DCL transfers for our family of 5 even though they are pricey. Selling points for us: the convenience of the luggage handling; the right-to-the-port service; avoiding parking, car rental shuttles and massive Dream crowds at 10am; and the DCL check-in at the resort. Also, we've never cruised before and I think the whole DCL bus with the movie would be fun for our boys. Right now, DCL transfers are about $75 more total than the least expensive rental car (when accounting for port parking, car seat, etc.) but that difference could increase as August nears. We don't want to do the 1-way car rentals and I'm a little nervous about private car companies. So is it entirely crazy to get the DCL transfers? Am I missing another good option?

We've cruised DCL for 9 years. Using the DCL transfers and private car companies.

I've sat on DCL buses outside the port for way too long when the lines inside were too long. Not a big fan of DCL cutting into my vacation time.

Now we use FL Tours with GREAT success. We're picked up at the resort, wisked to the port (stop at liquor store along the way) and on board that boat!! They have excellent service and great prices, especially if you can find another family to share a ride with, we do all the time. FLT also gives DIS Boards discount!

I should add...
We're taking ME to WL precruise. FLT from WL to PC. Then FLT to BC postcruise. Using ME from BC to MCO.

So my little gem of a location could have jumped from standard to water?! I don't think of it as a garden view at all.

Do you still have anything with your room number on it from last time? You could call and make a request for that room number specifically (I know it's only a request! :) ) and also ask what room category it is. When I reserved at YC, I mentioned really liking the room we had last time, and the reservationist asked me if I knew the room number and she would put it down as a request.
