Just got home from Jeanne's. Got the washer going. Meeting Pennsylvania friends at Epcot tomorrow afternoon and then dinner at Cape May with them.

It was a fun and productive trip.

I'm working Sunday and Monday and then Tuesday we drive to the Mayo Clinic for testing all day Wednesday starting at 6:45 AM. We'll drive home Wednesday night. If all goes well on Wednesday, surgery will be at the Mayo on 3/10. I'm keeping my fingers crossed all the tests will go great and there will be no further delays. I need to get fixed and ready for the grandchild who is still sexless. She calls it "peanut" and is still refusing to have the sex revealed before birth. I thought after registering at Babies R Us, she'd see all the boy and girl things and decide to find out the sex but nope, she's sticking to her original plan.

It was very nice to get back to nice humid air after that desert dry air!!!!

Teena,
Welcome back! Enjoy your PA visitors.

Hoping testing goes well this week.

Hi natebenma,
I made another SAB map for you to use in this thread, I cleaned it up a bit and added some additional info, if there is anything else you would like to see added to it let me know.

This map is really great. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for comparing both resorts. I think I will be staying with The Beach Club. Do all the rooms at the beach club have the double sink?

Not sure if you received an answer, but yes all rooms have the double sinks. Love them!

Cannot believe that in 3 weeks we will be checking in at BCV. I am so excited and already getting sad that its going to be over so fast!!!

LOve the SAB map, quite helpful!!!!

BCV news....there is new balcony furniture! :woohoo: White wrought iron which is much more comfortable as well as so much nicer looking than the old stuff.

skelooch, great map and so nice to see you posting here.

kekee and Teena, prayers and good wishes for both of you.

Hi to everyone else....live from BCV. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Love the map of SAB! Great job, thanks so much! :thumbsup2

We cannot wait for September to get here!

Teena: sending good thoughts and prayers your way :wizard:

I feel like such a newbie around here. I've been around the DIS for a while but we're just now looking at BC/YC. I've always ruled Epcot area resorts out because of the lack of allergy safe CS options for my kids (long list of allergies) but now that we've tried CL I realize that the lounge chefs would take care of us for breakfast and light dinner (this is what we usually buy as CS at our resort and we eat our big meal as a TS meal in the park). I'm so excited to be able to try an Epcot area resort.

We'll be staying YC CL August 17-24. I'm really looking forward to SAB with my kids.

I think I've read the first almost 30 pages and still haven't seen the answer to a couple questions.

1. Is there a current map showing the room categories?
2. Approximately what percent of the YC CL rooms have day beds? My 13yo DD is autistic and can't share a bed with anybody else. This was what first got us to switch to deluxe resorts. I'm not sure how she'd feel about sleeping on a roll-away. We've booked a Standard View but would upgrade to a Lagoon View if it meant greater likelihood of a day bed (there weren't any Garden View rooms available with either the GP discount that we used for the first half of the trip or the Bounceback that we used for the second half).

Thank you!!!

1. No.
2. About half. I suggest you call "special needs" and tell them the situation and they most likely be able to block you into a five sleeper. You also need to let them know about the food allergies so they can notify the chefs regarding special foods for the lounge.

Hi to everyone else....live from BCV. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

If possible can you take a pic of the new balcony furniture? .....would love to see it and be able to show DH.

Have a fantastic time ...........I wish I was there, so tired of the winter

Thank you Teena!! I wasn't sure if this was something I should call special needs about. I've dealt with Special Diets many times but I've never put in any kind of needs based room request. I'll grab the contact info from the disABILITIES board. It never really occurred to me that we should do this. I appreciate the suggestion.

Is the BWI pool slide closed through March? Will BWI guests be able to use SAB?

Would guests of BC/YC be able to use BWI's pool during this time if they are not interested in the slide? (Thinking it would be less busy--plus I find SAB to be not relaxing-pool slide across public walkway so I have to follow the kids back and forth etc...) DD8 will def use SAB slide while we are there but BWI looks a bit more like Poly's pool area and easier to keep tabs on the children.

New balcony furniture....hooray. Love the balcony sitting. Hope you are having a wonderful trip!

First, Hockeymom, we just returned from our boys' friend's hockey game and WOW is that fun! :)

Second, our ADR booking window is just about to open for our 2-day/1-night post-cruise non-park stay at BC in August! So this will be our first cruise and our first non-park stay at WDW. We booked CL so we'll have some afternoon snacks. We were thinking that we might be tired of big dinners from our 3-night cruise and would just want to stop by ESPN club that night for a quick dinner. On the other hand, we've never been to Yachtsman and it sounds great. It's also the last night of our trip, so I'm wondering if we should end with a nice dinner. So - for those of you who have been to Yachtsman, done a Disney cruise or both, what do you think? (It's the two of us and three boys -ages pre-school to pre-teen - with tastes varying from chicken nuggets/mac and cheese to sushi.) Or maybe Flying Fish?

I'm over my sour grapes...I posted a couple days ago about a problem with modifying my resort reservations which resulted in me having to move us to the a CL room...you know what, I am thankful we get to go, and I am thrilled we will stay BC CL!!! Now come on May!!:cool1:

Hi all! Just back from a week at bc (club level). I know on the front page it says that the day beds are guaranteed for families of 5, not sure if that is not the case - or we are just unlucky. We booked a garden view club level, we were given a handicapped accessible room with no day bed, I immediately asked to be moved to a room large enough to accomadate our family size (would have happily have been downgraded to a
Standard view) nothing available (actually long story but won't bore you all ;).
Next morning, asked to be moved - still no club level rooms with day beds available. We did move to a non handicapped accessible room that at least opened up the bathroom area. The room was small(not appropriate for 5 people), not even room for a chair in the corner. Of course we still had a wonderful time - it is Disney after all. But just wanted to let people know in case having a day bed was important (as it was for us) - you may be out of luck.
