Hi Pixar mom ,

Would love to know how much a cab from bc to ak and poly would cost ?

Thanks

Hi!

Not sure about BC to AK, but BC to Poly was about $16 + tip for seven people. About the same for BC to Contemporary (for California Grill.) The cost each way varied a bit, but that was the average for us last month. It was well worth the cost!

Hi All, Just wondering if the BC 4th floor deluxe club level rooms have full balcony's??? If I am remembering correctly, I believe the 4th floor has a lot of the dormer type. Thanks so much :goodvibes

Teena can give you more detail, but we stayed in a 4th floor deluxe room last month and the balcony in that particular room was huge - really huge! It was at least twice the size of our balconies in standard (probably now a garden) and water view rooms last July and March.

dear Teena ,

I hope all goes well with yr surgery !! just think positive thoughts and i am sure all the good wishes u r getting will help !!

So u think it is worth getting a hoppper ?

we r already stretching the budget with the bc rates ! i just cannot make up my mind on DP and hopper !!!

Since you are at the Beach Club, I think hoppers are definitely something that you would like to have. Like I said before, if you want to enjoy the resort, you should hit the parks first thing in the morning, then come back and enjoy the resort and SAB and then walk or take the boat to Epcot or HS in the evenings. By DP I think you are referring to the dining plan. If you use it correctly, the dining plan will save you money for sure. That means you use the table service for nice dinners (that normally would cost you at least $40 per person), use the quick service for a super lunch (at somewhere like Sunshine Seasons or Flame Tree BBQ). However, when people use all their table service on character breakfasts, to me it's like tearing up twenty dollar bills. If your family does not want to sit down and have a nice table service dinner every night, then I would not go with the dining plan. Personally, the quick service dining plan I do not think is worth the money. But used properly, the regular dining plan will definitely save you money.

And thanks for the good wishes!

There are six deluxe club level rooms at the BC.

1557 has a patio and lots of windows.
2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies.
3557 has the standing room only balcony.
3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony
4681 has a standing room only balcony.

So 3 of the 6 have full balconies, 1 has a patio, and 2 have standing room only balconies.

I think the CL is on the 5th floor and we had a lagoon view room with the dormer balcony. I'm guessing the entire floor is that way but I don't know for sure.

None of the deluxe rooms are on the fifth floor. See my answer above ... one on the fourth floor has a super large balcony and the other one on the fourth floor has a standing balcony.

Teena and Pixarmom, Thank you so much for the information! That was exactly what I was looking for :worship:
My family already has a CL GV booked, but are considering upgrading to a deluxe room. A full balcony is very important to us (I'm sure this is important to others as well ;)) as we are a family of 5 including 3 teenagers :goodvibes Just trying to figure out what catagory will give us the best chance for the full balcony!
Thanks again ;)

Teena can correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought almost all the cl rooms have full balconies.

Pixarmom - right there with you on the taxis! We always use Disney transportation for the parks but we've use the taxi for dinner at the Wave, Narcoossee's, California Grill and RFC at DTD. Definitely worth the $20!

To the pp asking about park hoppers. You will definitely love having them when staying at BC. It is so nice to walk over to EPCOT for dinner that makes them worth every penny. Another thought - Annual Passes include park hoppers (and usually a discount on the room). If a good AP rate comes out for your time period it might be worth it to go that way. Good luck!

Just upgraded to the YC for Aug 14-22 :yay: I am sooo excited, we cannot wait until August:banana:

Sorry if this question has been asked before...

I'm probably going to book a second room for my trip 7/25-8/2 at Beach Club. Does anyone know approx. how many rooms are connecting? I know a request is not a guarantee, but what are the chances of getting one? I've heard that you're only guaranteed one if kids outnumber adults in your party? (That's not the case with us).

Thanks in advance! This thread has been super helpful :)

Since we will be entering Epcot through the International Gateway, will we be able to get our ticket vouchers turned into actual tickets? We bought the Fl Res Wild 4 days pass and have to redeem it at Guest Relations.

There are eight rooms on the fifth floor that do not have full balconies. They are pretty evenly distributed. However, a deluxe room even without a full balcony would give you tons more room than a regular CL room on the fifth floor. I would definitely not even hesitate if I had 3 teenagers coming along ... a deluxe room (even if you get one without a full balcony) would be your best bet! Robyn, do you agree? You've spent time in deluxe rooms and regular club level rooms.

Yep.

Not lots but if you have both rooms on the same reservation and it is listed as a request, you have a good chance of getting one.

I used a cab from Poly to Beach Club last July and it was under $20 with tip. Not sure on Animal Kingdom, but again, I think the max would be $20 including the tip. It is well worth it to get to an early breakfast. I used the cab to go from watching the fireworks from the Poly beach back to the Beach Club at night.

I was considering watching the fireworks from the Poly beach after our dinner at O'hana if we decide not to do MNNSHP or a night they are having Wishes when we are there to avoid the crowds...........How are the fireworks from the beach?
I like the idea of taking a taxi back to BC afterwards too :)

It's nice ... they pipe in the music at the beach too.

Sounds Great, thanks for the info, we are trying to plan a more relaxed trip this time around, not sure when we will make it back to WDW now that DH is retired and there are other places(goodness say it isn't so) DH and I both want to visit.

Hi,

DH and I would like to book the Sandcastle club one night in September for our two girls so we can have a few hours to enjoy WS and the Boardwalk.

Should I be calling now to book a reservation? Do they just take a CC guarantee?

Thanks!

Is the BC/YC doat dock up and running again? I saw it was getting refurbed and scheduled to re-open March 14...
