Hi guys ... I'm actually sitting up and on the computer. I can't thank you enough for all the prayers, pixie dust, thoughts, wishes, etc. you have all sent. It really helped me get through these past few months... what an ordeal.

Dr. McLaughlin called an hour ago and all pathology is back and I'm in the clear. Just need to get through the next few days of pain. I will get to meet with the radiation people next week and Dr. McLaughlin says I can start radiation on 4/25. So I guess starting that week I'll be working Saturdays and Sundays for six weeks instead of Sundays and Mondays since radiation will be every day Monday through Friday. Dr. McLaughlin said I don't need to come back to the Mayo for six months although she'll see me before that since they are coming to the Beach Club for their first Disney vacation.

I'm hurting more than the first surgery but she said she went all the way to the muscle this time so that's probably why. And this time I itch ... especially my back. They did a back block again too but I didn't itch like this last time. I'm driving poor Bob nuts with rubbing cream on my back. At least once I got home I had my back scratcher so I wasn't bugging him every five minutes to scratch my back. I'm using my pain meds and ice like crazy ... hopefully I'll start feeling better tomorrow. I am planning on working Sunday and Monday.

So hit me with those questions again and I'll try to keep the answers coming!

Thanks again for everything ... you all really helped me get through everything!!!

Welcome back, and thanks for the update. Glad it went well with the pathology.

I know what you mean about the itching. My entire body felt that way after my surgeries. It's awful. Take care of yourself and take it slow... :flower3:

Teena, so glad to hear your news. You must have a great surgeon if she is going to stay at the BC! Take care of yourself. Get plenty of rest and let yourself heal.

Teena, so glad to hear the news as well. What great news. Get your rest!!! Sending Pixie Dust your way!!!!

Thank God. I am so happy for you. It is such wonderful news. I'm sure youre not driving Bob crazy. I am sure he is very happy to take care of you.

We will be down in December. This year, I will make it it point to be in the lobby when you are there. Last year, I kept on missing you.

Take care of yourself. Remember we are all here to help you through the next steps.

It took me four days and about 10 hours, but I finally read through all 2500+ posts. I never dreamed there'd be so much to read about! And I never got bored once!

Now that I'm caught up, I'm hoping that the questions I'll be asking from now on will not have already been covered. That disclaimer aside, I commence:

Is there a separate thread on DIS that defines all the various abbreviations I've run into? 99%+ of them are pretty intuitive (BCV = Beach Club Villas, for instance), but I admit to being stumped on two: "RAC" and "IPO". I think the first one has something to do with Magical Express, which we won't be using since we're renting a car at MCO, and the second in this context doesn't mean Initial Public Offering...

I believe that RAC is "Resort Airline Checkin" and I know that IPO is "Itinerary Planning Office", those are the kind souls that book dining and recreation reservations for the lucky folks on CL (club level).

I thinking uncovering the meanings of all the abbreviations makes the DisBoards that much more fun. (I am easily amused by the little things). ;)

I am so happy to hear that! A clean path report is fantastic news. I remember when we got that news after my mom's surgery it was like Atlas had strolled along and said, "Hey, can I take that planet you're carrying?" Now it's time to sleep, enjoy those meds, and bask in the warmth that I'm sure is going to be flooding your way through the dozens of caring folks that reside on this thread.

All our best wishes, all ways, always!

During my exploration of this thread I remember reading a couple of things about personal flotation and SAB, but could someone refresh my memory about things like tubes and pool noodles? For example, if I were to want to float along on the lazy river, would I need to rent a tube or could I buy one at the Winn-Dixie and bring it in? If it's the former, I think the rental was $10 per day. Correct? TIA.

Great News Teena!! So happy everything is turning out so good! Don't over do and get lots of rest!!

Oh my ... I forgot to post this before I left for the Mayo Clinic. One of the merchandise managers told me something on Sunday that is sooooo wonderful. First, you all need congrats on this ... your writing letters and mostly the exit surveys (the one you do the morning you check out in the lobby of the resort and the other one that some people get sent to them via email or USPS a few weeks after getting home) are the things that did it!!! RESORT SPECIFIC MERCHANDISE IS COMING BACK!

Good job!!! And please remember on the morning you are checking out, please, please, please come down to the lobby between 7 AM and 8 AM and look for the survey people (at the BC they normally stand across from the concierge desk or outside near the airline check-in) and tell them you want to take the exit survey. They make a huge difference. If there is something that you didn't like or something that you did like - here's your chance to be heard. These surveys are gone over with a microscope by everybody. The surveys make a difference!

This is awesome news! I need Port Orleans, Beach Club, and POP Century merchandise. And after October, probably, All Star Music.

Thank you for posting this great information!

Do you happen to know if this applies to all resorts, such as the CR? I had asked CR's BVG management in December about resort specific merchandise coming back, and she said that they ask all the time, but they never receive any and they aren't ever told when it may return.
