There is a booth along the World Showcase walkway, near France. If I am recalling correctly, you don't even have to enter the country to enjoy this treat.
Anyone have better directions?
Ummm...... I do!!!!
Mwa ha ha!!!
MARLTON MOM IS BACK!!1!!!!1!! (I've missed y'all!!

)
The Kiosk is located across from France along the railing by the water. The Kiosk is a little one and it's actually in the back ground of this picture. Sorry the picture is so crappy, it was taken with my cell phone.
See below:
~Take a container or chug the remainder!~
The drinks at the world showcase averaged just under $10 dollars each. To give you an idea of the volume of beverage served, the Grey Goose slushie (or Grand Marnier, which is the orange one) filled only half a resort refillable mug
Yesterday, on my last day, I decided that I would put the camera away and meander around the world showcase, DRINKING my way through the world!
Next up I got an iced coffee with a Bailey's shot somewhere in the neighborhood of the U.S. at the WS. This too, at just under $10, only filled up half a mug.
Finally I made my way to Mexico where I got a passion fruit, frozen maragrita with a pommegranate liqueur shot. Beacuse of the shot it was around 12 dollars but it did fill the refillable mug.
If you really want to get the most bang for your alcohol buck there are sites on the internet that rate the quality of the liquor used, the volume poured and gives you flavor profiles of the various drinks found at resorts in the Orlando area. My favorite is
http://www.partythroughtheparks.com/
Now let me tell you that Marlton Mom does not drink and if you do the math that's 4 shots of liquor.....

....... But at no time was she actually what you would called buzzed, which, if she had even 2 drinks at home, she would be on the sofa, that's what a lightweight she is.... so chalk that up to the "magic of Disney". I will say that slurping a frozen Margarita while riding Spaceship Earth made that ride MUCH more..... shall we say
enjoyable!
MM took pictures on Monday. I'm sure she'll be posting them real soon.
I shall be working on the pictures of the resort wear and the dinner with the mystery guest(s) tomorrow. Yes, that's right, I said tomorrow.... and yes, I can hear you all screaming NOooooooooo......... Due to Flight delays (the FAA staged a surprise inspection on my plane and it didn't exactly pass

) I did not get to bed until 4:30 am today.
I can't wait to see the BC merchandise!
I'm especially looking forward to seeing if there are BC Beach towels - what could be more appropriate than BC beach towels!
Of course I think I'll be looking forward to all the BC merchandise. Years ago I got a polo shirt that was resort specific (GF) - wouldn't that be great to have a BC shirt to wear to the BC/YC Mini Dis Meet?
Can't wait to see MM's pictures - hope the "celebrity guest" dinner went great!
No towels but I can tell you that the people who designed the Beach Club resort merchandise decided to go with an all "Hello Kitty" theme with lots of "Hello Kitty" cat paterns in pink and purple on the shirts and mugs.
Let me tell you that it looks really great for "Hello Kitty" crap, of which I am decidedly NOT a fan.... Who knew that "Hello Kitty" was such an iconic Beach Club symbol? It sure beats the heck out of that "Mickey sailing a yacht" motif over at the Yacht Club.
(Side note: I am laughing so hard as I type this that I can hardly see the keyboard. The thing that really sent me over the edge was the realization that people that actually
Like "Hello Kitty" will now come flocking to the Beach Club in search of even more "HK" ephemera after they clean out the shops in Japan.)
The lawyers

that follow MM around incessantly in an attempt to protect the public have informed me that I must say there is
"Allegedly" Hello Kitty resort wear merchandise at the Beach Club Market place.
You'll just have to wait and see the pictures I'm going to post tommorow to see if it's true or not....
Ok now back to our regularly scheduled report.
Let's talk about construction at the BC pool. To understand this better you need to look at the overhead map of the pool complex on page 1 of this thread. I'll wait for you to make the mistake of navigating away from this page to get to the map and then realizing that you needed to open a second window in your browser so you can go between pages with out waiting for the one to reload back and forth between the text here and the picture on page 1.
As of my visit, in which I did a hotel side walkway tour of the pool, it's not a big deal from what I can see. All parts of the pool are open, I repeat, ALL PARTS ON THE POOL ARE OPEN! (I am NOT SURE about the hot tubs... ) What has changed is that there is a dividing line blocking access to the pool between the big pool where they do the games and the Lazy river. This blocking off starts at the Yachtsmen Steak house and goes across the bridge by the Windmill to Hurricane Hannah's.
So the shallow kiddie area and the lazy river section are connected as usual BUT if you want to go to the other large section where the slide dumps out AND they do the games and where the water falls are (That is one giant pool) you have to get out and walk around the fence by way of the pool perimeter, which means hotel side or the walkway that that runs by the lake.
IF YOU LOOK AT THE OVERHEAD MAP ON PAGE 1 OF THE THREAD YOU WILL SEE A WALKWAY FROM THE YACHTSMAN STEAK HOUSE TO THE WINDMILL BUILDING. This is the area that is blocked off so you can't walk across to the other side. On the Map, Hurricane Hannah's is the grey roofed building and the octagonal building is where they sell the noodles and rafts and play the pool games.
A quicker way might be to get out of the pool by sinking sands (on the map), walk around Hurricane Hannah's and get to the lazy river and kiddie pools that way.
Since I was not a guest of the hotel and I couldn't access the pool complex, I don't know how far across the fence went, but I would be surprised if it went to the far side Hurricane Hannah's.
As you're walking on the outside walkway by the Yachtsman Steak house you can see through gaps in the mesh screens that block the view of the pool construction to see that they have dug up a large PVC pipe and are making repairs to that. This is they type of repair that I am guessing will NOT cause access at the pool to cease so I wouldn't worry about it. Of course this all may change tomorrow but I would be surprised based on what I saw. Oh well... ya never know do ya....
I did not assess the construction going on on the exterior of the resort, but basically it's the same story different location, so if that sort of thing bothers you, when you first get to your room, take a peep out the window and decide if you want you room to be moved. It's really a simple thing to fix so it's wise not to spend time stressing about it.
So there is your resort update and drinking around the world report. Even if you aren't drinking alcohol, those refillable mugs are a great way to keep your cold beverages cold on a hot Florida day. I would consider using one of those carabiner clips and using that to attach the mug to my belt loop so I didn't have to carry it when not taking a bag. You know that Marlton Mom, all function and no style!
Temps when I was there were 10 degrees above average with record highs of 89 degrees predicted. It was Hot, Hot HOT when MM was there with foggy morning conditions and only one day of rain. Florida is experiencing weird weather just like everybody else and right now they are experiencing a drought. Tomorrow the weather could change so stay tuned to weather stations to see how to pack.
I'll be posting more stuff later as time permits. My glamour shots of the parks are going to take time to process so they will come in drips and drops but I will do the Dinner and resort wear ones first.
Catch ya later,
~Marlton Mom
