Warning...I'm going off topic (shocking, I know)
MM: So the "kicked off the bus story": It was actually my older sister and I. On the last day of school at the end of my sophomore year (my sister was a junior), the bus left the school before everyone had gotten out of the school and on the bus, so o bunch of ys had to walk home. We were almost to our house and the bus drove by us. The driver waved and we flipped her off.
The following school year starts, and we get called down to the vice principal's office. The poor man had no idea who I was and he only knew my sister because her best friend babysat for his kids. He got to tell us that we were kicked off the bus for swearing at the bus driver on the last day of school the previous year, the bus that we weren't even riding because they'd decided our house was too close and that we could walk. We did point out that we weren't even on the bus the last day of school because she had left before we got out of school that day and that we couldn't ride anymore anyway. He thought that was kinda funny.
My mother said that when he called her, he told her he had to look through the school records to find out who I was because he had never heard of me. I was NEVER in any trouble. In fact, my high school friends would probably tell you that I was a "goodie two shoes".
Awesome story!

I feel sorry for the driver, if her world was so miserable she held onto a grudge from the summer before.

I like that your VP found the humor in it, though. I hope they let you back on! (or someone got a car...)
(RANT TO FOLLOW)
Though I think that bus driver retired and is now working for Disney... when we were down there, we had one lady who was the epitome of 'mean' on our bus to AK. Seriously, I was looking for the hidden candid cameras...
She opened only the front door for all passengers to get on/off at each stop. (this is probably policy). CR was the first loading stop (our stop).
As we loaded the bus (mind you, this is when we are LOADING) she screamed (yes. screamed.) "Do not stand in the door area! It's against regulation to stand beyond the yellow line." This was when people were walking to the rear of the bus to get seats. It was as if each time someone walked over the line, she triggered and yelled.
Then, once we finally had everyone and their strollers cleared of the yellow line (took a good 5 minutes before she was satisfied), she drove to Poly. At around 10 miles and hour.
Did I mention the bus was full and standing room only?
So, then we stop at poly and try to squeeze a few more people on. The bus was full. As in "don't you wish everyone did" full. (Bonus points for who gets the reference!

) But we needed more people. Know what that meant?
The only way to get more people on the bus was to step over the yellow line!
Which meant she screamed. Again. Problem was this little thing called physics, it doesn't allow two bodies of mass to occupy the same space. It took another 5 minutes (and some very frustrated guests saying "forget this" and getting OFF the bus....) then she closed the door and drove on....to the GF.
Full bus. To Animal Kingdom. Stopped at GF.
Then, we had a few poor souls try to cram on the bus from there. This is the REALLY funny part. The same bus driver who pulled up to the stop told them all there was no room for them to get on. She literally held her arm out blocking them
as she left the door open.
But she still waited 10 minutes. People on the bus were beginning to loudly express their opinions. We were stuck in the back of the bus so had no chance to escape. We did consider the escape hatches on the top, though.
In the end, we got to AK about an hour and 15 minutes from when we started. And, of course, yelled at us about crossing the yellow line the whole way there. My DH mentioned she was driving so slow because the majority of the time she was watching everyone from her rear view mirror.
I think we probably witnessed a serious mental breakdown that morning, to be honest. It was also the worst (and thereby funniest) Disney bus ride ever.
