I am so glad we decided to go in June. I think CMB being closed you be a dealer breaker for DH. He is so excited to go back there!

Well, I was reading some other threads and came across some PIN details. Turns out we had a PIN we could use (I am annoyed that when I booked the CM didn't mention it since I had the email weeks before but whatever). So, I saved money with Free Dining so I upgraded up to CL for out BC stay! GV CL here we come. It only took me 5 days to do it

Hi everyone... it's actually me, kldmom2000... now renamed. I've been MIA for a while and tried to log in a week ago, but I forgot my password under my old username. I couldn't get the email to get a new one as we switched from Comcast to Verizon 2 weeks ago and I contacted admin., but was told I had to re-register with a new name since I couldn't access my comcast account any longer ... so, I'm here looking like a newbie once again Hi once again YC/BC fans!!! OK, here's the plan.... You are going to be our double agent! We are going to give you observation assignments but what ever you do, DO NOT LOOK AT THE CLOWN SLIDE!!! Somewhere on the back of this thread is a wall with the names of BC/YC Dis'ers that went down after they got a peep at that creepy slide.

Mission #1 Find and read a phone book in it's entirety. Memorize the numbers if possible so that we can recreate this massive missing deficiency at the YC/BC

Mission #2 Resort wear, do they have it? If so, is the clown involved in any of the designs? Use special eye protection just in case.

Mission #3 Club level, sneak in if you have to. Report on what they are offering and if the room is so large that you can get lost in it. Extra points will be awarded if you can determine whether the # of chairs available matches the # of spots at the tables.

What ever you do, don't be caught looking across the lagoon, staring at the Beach Club and pining for your home resort. This will surely blow your cover.

That's it for the mission. We hope you (come to your senses and don't) accept.

That clown still gives me nightmares. Thankfully, I did not look at it straight on, but only in pictures.

Now I had some big hair growing up and my sisters used to call me Bozo (if that nickname goes anywhere beyond this post, I will inundate your inbox with photos of the Clown Pool and any other freaky clown I can find), so the thought of it brings back childhood nightmares too. I may to go back to therapy soon.

I hope the BCV waitlist comes through for you. But, if not, BWV are really nice too. We did our first villa stay there. We had a view of the boardwalk and every night we would sit on our balcony and watch the boardwalk entertainment. It was very nice.

Sounds like my kind of place!

Seriously jealous and secretly praying for an upgrade on our trip! Did you check in online before getting there or roll the dice and just check in at the resort?

No online check in, it's a girls weekend, we booked 2 GV rooms on an AP code. I got to the hotel after the rest of the group, I got to the lobby, looking for the group, got one of them on their mobile, she says "we're trying to check in, the took us to the the 5th floor". They had no idea what was going on, I'm on my mobile phone in the lobby trying not to freak out "THAT'S CLUB LEVEL!!". LOL, they had no idea how big a deal this was.

UGH! Last night he told me the day he is doing the Builders Show has changed. It really messes up 2 days worth of ADR's possibly 3 and plans on which parks to go. I am trying to reschedule everything but am unsure. The day he changed to is our MK day. I hate to put it farther into our week. So I may have to change our DHS day too. The our reservations are for both. Nothing like waiting till the last minute!! The reservations it messes with are the

Liberty Tree in MK
Kona Cafe
Sci Fi at DHS
and Cape May Cafe for dinner that was suppose to be the night he went to the show.

ARGH!!! Does he not realize how cruel it is to do this to a compulsive planner??? So much careful coordination goes into planning and preparing for a fabulous trip!

My sympathy to you (but also a vote of confidence that you can roll with this and make it work)

Pencil sharpening? That puts it over the top for me! I'm changing my reservation ...

I know this is probably a loaded question, but that's the general consensus about the in-room coffee? Bad? Tolerable? Better than expected? Better than Nescafe?

Our dates are Feb 29-Mar 3. Super excited!

P.S. We are also staying in a Boardwalk-View studio our first night ... don't tell anyone!

The pencil sharpening is not in the brochure, but when I asked the CL CMs where I could sharpen a pencil they said "We can do that for you!"

I don't like to leave the coffee thing to fate. I bring my own (nothing fancy, just the Maxwell House filter pads), but I don't know what to use now with the pod machines.

I am seriously (seriously) considering bringing my own small coffee maker when I am banished to the All Stars in June. Our last All Star stay, I brought a 10 cup and added it to an ongoing fridge swap.

Just arrived at beach club and got a surprise upgrade to CL! This is so exciting!! This has never happened to us before!!!

I just booked our first trip to BC for May!!! (5/8-5/15). We stayed at the BW in 2008 and I love being near Epcot, so wanted to get back here after a few years closer to the MK. My kids love the pool pictures and so DH and I decided to book BC for this trip.

We're trying to keep this trip a surprise for our kids - we'll see how it goes. Wanted to say hello; I will be stalking this thread for the next few months

I had no idea that 500 posts was the key to veteran status. This will be post 494 for me. I now have a goal of becoming a Dis Vet before my trip to the YC.

(I'll try to do it by only posting useful or funny things, well maybe some sarcasm for flavour)

@natebenma -- we may just bring our Merlita "Ready Set Joe" coffeemaker, some filters, and pre-ground beans.

BUT you still need hot water. DH's plan is to warm the water with the pod machine. Will that work? He's a bit of a coffee snob, so this aspect of the stay is important to him.

ETA: Does Beach Club have resort-specific coffee mugs in the shop? We love the Kidani one we picked up last year.

Thank you! I was totally stressed but decided to just go with it. Luckily we are going off season so I was still able to get our reservations at other times. Instead of having concrete days now for the parks ( I was only doing this for 3 of the 8 days) we now have all 8 days more flexible. Maybe do half days at MK, Epcot and DHS instead of one full day. I just redid the entire itinerary to have more options. Not one day besides Nate's Bday is set in stone. That is what our trip was suppose to be about this time around anyway, right?!


I can't believe we leave tomorrow!! I packed a carry on bag with bathing suits. I think it is suppose to be warm tomorrow so we may swim our very first day. Never ever have we done that! Nathan wants to hit Epcot too. No meals scheduled at all tomorrow. We may start with Beaches and Cream. I have been dreaming of the No Way Jose.
