Robyn it's working!!! I told him that we got a message from Robyn on the Disney Boards, and that Robyn says we are going to love it, the globe in the lobby is really cool and it's super close to the boat that takes us to Hollywood Studios! He loved it!

Sue, great to know about the hidden Mickeys! I'll tell him after school today. We usually go during value season, too. This is another one of our "on the way to the airport" visits (turned into 4 days/3nights.) I think it's crazy to be there the week after Easter, but I guess I will be! I'm glad that we're getting APs again and will be back in February 2013, because we can take it slower and bail if the crowd levels in the parks are too high. I'm having a tough time adjusting to these peak season rates, so that AP discount would be wonderful!

Dee, what little boy doesn't love a "mission!" Great idea - I'll give him a check-list and we'll have a great time. (P.S. Sent you an e-mail this AM :))

Teena, I've getting daily photos of my little niece during her first WDW visit over the past couple days, and I see she's in more layers each day! Stay warm!

rusty, I absolutely think you can wear jeans to Flying Fish. That's one of the things I love about Disney dining - you're at Disney, so it's all more casual (except V&As.)

I have a confession to make.

Marlton Mom is running away from home.

Yes, you read right, Marlton Mom is running away from home.

No kid (Although he is an angel!). NO husband :rolleyes1 No dog.

So if Marlton Mom is running away, where do you think she is going???

BRRRR!!!!

I have one of those rare days where there is nothing on my calendar, so I am not leaving the house today!

I'm going to spend the day cooking, and catching up on my correspondence and continuing on the cleaning out the basement and organizing my clutter projects that I started during Christmas break.

And check in here every so often. Keep warm thoughts, everyone!

THis is definitely a good day to stay in! Unfortunately my kids have a half day today (ugh) - they just went back to school yesterday! So I have to leave my nice, warm cozy house and go out into that arctic air. Then we have to go to McDonalds (because it is a half day ritual) and then the dog is getting groomed for the first time this afternoon.

Funny story - DH was giving me all kinds of instructions about the dog's haircut. Not too short, don't let them shave him etc. I told him too bad he doesn't show 1/10th that amount of interest when the kids or I get our hair done! It seems as if Mickey is definitely ruling our house!!!!

Dee - when is your "chaperone" trip? I know it might sound crazy but that sounds like a blast to me!!!!! That is your ds's 8th grade trip right? Sure is better than ours - my dd's 8th grade trip is good, but not in comparison to Disney. We're going to NYC to the 9/11 Memorial and then we're going to see Sister Act on Broadway!

Pixarmom - so glad the "globe" helped. Honestly, my kids loved YC too!

Marlton Mom - I am intrigued. I NEVER go anywhere alone!!!!!

Ashram in India? I hear it's the place to go for all the cool suburban Moms.

See... this is why I am such a BAD influence. I am putting (really GOOD) ideas in people's heads!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OMG!!! It's a good thing there is nobody home. I screamed so loud when I read that the family would have come running in to the room to see what was 'wrong'.

Yes, this is Nate's 8th grade class trip, scheduled for June 4-8. I am super excited, but trying not to get my hopes up. Nate is on probation for the trip due to a low effort grade (4) in his Life Skills (Home Ec) class. If he gets two "3s" on any upcoming report card, his trip is off. He has one more quarter of Life Skills and two report cards to get through. I just paid our balance for the trip this week.

I agree- your daughter's trip sounds fun, but it ain't Disney!

When Robyn posts, I should just write "ditto" and then that should be it. :)

We love McDonald's on 1/2 days!

We went to NYC in October for our 12-year-old's belated bday trip and did a ton in three days. We've been several times before, but not with all three kids, so it was a fun challenge to plan activities, restaurants, etc. that everyone would enjoy. Sounds like most of your trip will be planned through school, so I won't go into detail about what the boys enjoyed, but the 9/11 Memorial is incredibly moving and so very well done. I took several photos from different angles, but they cannot do it justice. We also visited the church up the street, and the boys thought that really helped to put the memorial into even better context.

I never go anywhere alone, either, so it will be fun to follow along on MM's adventures!

I rarely even get to go to the bathroom alone so I wanna know how MM got the fam to agree to this???? I want in on it!

My house?

Great! Now I can't breathe I'm laughing so hard........

Do you really think I would show up uninvited on your doorstep with those "Security Cranes" pecking at my buns?

~MM

PS. Check the front door, a magical express bus just pulled up to your house. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!

Believe it or not, you wouldn't be the first person that showed up with suitcases totally uninvited and unexpected and Bob and I hadn't seen them or heard from them for probably five years. But now I have my attack cranes!!!

Well, Dang! There go the plans for accomodations for my 100 teenagers in June!

We visited that church several years ago before the Memorial was completed and it was very moving. That year we did the American Girl experience, World Of Disney and Toys R Us!

I'm going with All Star Movies! I want to know how you're getting away with it!

Teena - my in-laws used to live in Hilton Head and you wouldn't believe how many people "dropped by" with full suitcases and no invitation!
