:lmao: If he comes back, can you hogtie him to the Noodle Family and leave him with Guest Services?????? Note that I've already signed up for the exchange. :rotfl:

Wow! First Emeril and now the Beebs!

Any word on Matthew McConaughey checking in some time soon? I heard he just got engaged and I want to kidnap, I mean congratulate him....

~MM

Count me in if you need help in the kidnapping...err, congratulating.

Call me. I have a truck. We can hog tie him and put him back there.

Uhm, I mean, congratulate him properly, with Southern Charm. . .:rolleyes1

Hmmm, wonder where John Stamos stays...I've seen that drop dead gorgeous smile a couple of times at WDW!!

Does anyone know when they start taking down the holiday decorations at the resorts?
We arrive at BC the evening of Jan. 3rd, hoping to see some Christmas decor!

Bump

Does anyone know the answer to this?

Here is a picture of our view from room 2607. Sorry my photography skills are poor at best, but the view was GREAT especially in the evening.

I was able to change our March booking from the Swan to the Yacht Club CL! We have 2 nights either side of a 4 night Disney Dream cruise.

What are the dates of your stays?

Before we checked out at the end of our August trip we booked a Bounceback for Sunday, August 19th through Saturday, August 25th for 2012! So excited to be back again to celebrate my daughters 11th birthday and my son being only a couple of weeks away from starting high school! Where did the time go???

If anyone is adding folks on to a 2012 trip list then feel free to add me on for the above dates.

Jay

Yeah!!!

I didn't realize our kids were so close in age. My son will be 11 next May and my son enters high school next September, too!

Dee... What a wonderful new thread..although at page 54 I think I am a little late to the party ....LOL...:dance3: A wealth of info...

I am looking foward to planning a trip for 2012 with a stay at the the BC or maybe the YC...

~BlueSkies

Good to see you over here. Glad you were able to follow the trail of bread crumbs from the previous thread!

Let us know when your plans for 2012 materialize.

I am very much looking forward to a little time alone with DH Jan. 26-30th at BC. :yay:

Sounds like a nice getaway for you two!

P.S. We will be back at the Beach Club in Nov 2012, we booked the bounce back:banana::banana::banana:

What are your dates, Laurie?

If one of the powers-that-be could add me to the first page, we'll be staying at the BC 6/7 - 6/13. Thanks! :)

Will do!

We are going May 17-23 at the Beach Club, water view room.

Got it!

Mike and I will make sure Page 1 is updated with all these bookings :)

I don't think I ever gave you our dates.

We'll be at the Beach Club from August 1- August 8.

Great view Laurie.....I can just imagine sitting there in the room watching the boats coming and going from the dock. Ahhhhh. :boat:

Dee, the decorations come down at varying times. In the last decade, we've often gone the first week of January. I specifically remember the tree at the GF coming down overnight on 1/1 a few years ago. Some years before that, it didn't come down until 1/9. Most of it happens "magically" overnight in the same manner in which most of the decor goes up.

I thought I had read somewhere that they start taking the holiday decorations down right after New Years, but I could be wrong. They are definitely down by the middle of January though. We went the week of MLK one year and there wasn't a hint of holiday decorations left on that trip.

It's official we are staying at BC for the first time 11/23-12/4! So excited can't wait to try out my dream resort and Christmas time. This will be an extra special trip for us. We will be celebrating my grandmothers life and our many memories on this trip. She always came w my family on our trips and LOVED it. Plus it will be our 15th Anniversary. We spent our honeymoon in WDW! Let the planning begin...

We will be there at the same time, our dates are 11/22- 12/1! I can't believe we are going back so soon and it was DH's idea:woohoo: The planning is already started:thumbsup2

Laurie

PS We just celebrated our 15th Anniversary at Beach Club this Nov!

Wondering if anyone would share their thoughts with me...I am wrestling with the thought of upgrading to CL for our trip, but wondering with the DP if it would be worth it? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks:)

We are finalizing our plans for our trip. Trying to buy any last minute things we need. Last year my feet ached every single day. I am a walker too at home so I was surprised. I usually buy New Balance but they are killing my arch on these trips. Trying to see what everyone else wears.:)

We are going in early Feb. so I am not sure that sandals would be used much. Do you know if the YC/BC stores sell the FitFlops in case I decide to buy a pair while there?

Thanks for adding me to the June list, Dee! Btw, I've been reading your US/IOA trip report . . . very interesting since we'll be going there for the first time this June (post WDW/BC). I haven't told my kids yet (older DS is obsessed with HP). We haven't even seen all of the movies yet and we freak out when they show Deathly Hallows DVD commercials (we have to turn it off, LOL). We started reading the books about a year or so ago. We read the book aloud together, then watch the movie, then DS reads the book on his own. We're about 1/4 of the way through reading The Half Blood Prince, so not too much more to go. I seriously love the books and I'm always a little disappointed with the movies. Obviously a lot is omitted due to time constraints, but they flat-out change things, too. People who have only seen the movies are really missing out, IMO. Sorry for going off on a HP tangent! Last night, same DS (8) says to me, "I really hope we stay at the Dolphin again when go back to Disney. I just love that area -- the Boardwalk and the magicians and jugglers -- it's just so beautiful there -- especially at night -- it makes me feel happy." It made me teary thinking about how excited he's going to be when I tell him we're staying in that area again, but not at the Dolphin . . . but at the Beach Club!!!

I hear ya on the feet thing. I actually developed plantar fasciitis from our trip this summer and I'm still dealing with it. Admittedly, I wore flip-flops a lot (albeit, nice/more expensive flip-flops) and we went commando a lot. It's my own fault. I've invested in a pair of Asics that I love and will be wearing them next trip. I initially went to the New Balance store and hated the way they felt (tried them out for a few days at home) even though they're supposed to be so good for plantar fasciitis. I think different things just work for different people. I will alternate between my Asics and my Teva hiking sandals next trip, but I also plan on taking it A LOT easier this trip.

....we will be coming back to the YC CL 10/17-10/20!!!! We're splitting the stay with Boardwalk, but decided to go ahead and tack on a few extra days. Now I've got to cross my fingers for a great discount between now and then so we can stay CL!:goodvibes

I had plantar fascitis and after I started wearing Skechers shape-ups, no more pain. They also eliminated the pain in my knees. I was amazed. Now they are the only sneakers that I wear. Unfortunately I haven't been able to wear any sneakers for weeks because I have an air cast after tearing the ligaments in my ankle - totally unrelated to wearing sneakers.

I have another friend who was recently diagnosed with plantar fascitis and she used to always wear New Balance, so I'm not sure how good they are for it. Maybe they are good at causing it - LOL.

I'd be interested to hear how you like the FitFlops and/or the Teva sandals.

Here are my thoughts (We stayed CL in September and also had the DxDP.):

**CL is perfect if you want to send an email to the IPO and have all your reservations made for you on the 180 day mark. Some people enjoy the fun of seeing what reservations you get, I am admittedly lazy and appreciate someone else doing that for me so I don't screw it up. ;)

**Grabbing a quick breakfast on the go from the CL Lounge is perfect in the mornings on the way to the parks. My DH and I always grabbed a muffin or croissant or fruit and a coffee on our walk over to the bus or Epcot.

**You probably *won't* take full advantage of breakfasts there, unless you have no breakfast ADRs. It worked for us because we did a lot of signature dining, so not using the credits for breakfast helped.

**Top floor. No pitter patter (read stomping) of little feet above your head.:cloud9:

We will be doing the same thing in Feb with our stay at Contemporary (DP and CL) but will probably opt out when we come back in October for F&W (just because we figure we're not going to be eating at a lot of signature places as we'll be "grazing" most of the time.)

HTH:thumbsup2

Jen

We have gone twice the weekend after New Year's and they have been done everywhere at WDW both times.
