It's good to know I'm not the only advance booker lol :goodvibes That's so great you're going this October too though.

Oh I am really bad when it comes to the planning... right down to the color coded excel spreadsheets!!! Today we have 49 days until our October trip and just 1 year 3 months and 2 days until our November 2011 trip!! I said that to my DD and she said Mom let's get through the October trip first!! October is for the Food and Wine festival with the first night at MK for MNSSHP also a first. We are mostly looking forward to just relaxing! I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot of you on these boards are we begin to plan for our November 2011 vacations!! Happy Planning!

Hi Teena!

Sorry we couldn't meet you. I will definitely meet you on our next visit in February! LOL! I did meet Jennifer and told her about you! I'm not sure if she told you or not. Jennifer was amazing (just like you), so much so I wanted to get her a little thank you gift! I bought her a little coach zipper change purse. I told her she could exchange it if she didn't like it. But she said she did! Looking forward to our meet in February.:goodvibes

Brunette

Jen showed me the purse and she definitely loves it. She said you were hoping to get over to see me. No problem though ... I'm just very glad you had a good time and I look forward to meeting you in February!

Hi Teena! Just wanted to say how nice it was to meet you on Sunday as I was checking out. :)

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful two nights at the Beach Club. It was our first time there and we loved every minute. We really enjoyed the pool and the short walk to Epcot.

The room was beautiful. We booked a standard room and didn't request anything and were fortunate enough to be given a room with a view of a courtyard and I only had to look to my left to see the lake and lighthouse.

For anyone who hasn't been there yet, the beds are FANTASTIC!!!!! So comfortable that we almost didn't want to get out of them! :rotfl:

Nicest of all was the staff. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by every CM we encountered. The gentleman working at the security gate when we drove in was especially friendly, we loved talking with him.

Just a lovely experience all around and we definitely hope to return soon!

It was such a pleasure meeting you too. I'm so glad you had a super vacation and loved the BC. I'm glad you will return ... the sooner the better! We certainly get lots of comments about our beds ... people definitely love them. I personally think that any bed after walking all day long (probably 10+ miles) in 100 degrees would feel good but our guests do rave about ours.

I am very excited about staying at the Beach Club! I get more excited every post I read. :cool1: I just need November to hurry up already! :goodvibes

How do bounceback offers work? Are they usually for a short period of time or say when we are there in November could we book our trip for next November? Unfortunately we can only get down to Disney once a year.

Are there DVD players in the club level rooms at the Yacht Club?

Ours did. We had a lagoon view CL last year. If I remember correctly at the CL desk they had a list of movies you could borrow from. There was a list and I am pretty sure they had it.

We had an AWESOME TIME! Yes, I too look forward to meeting with you.

take care. Brunette:)

I'm not sure when you are going to be there.

If it is on or after January 1, 2011 and you booked a garden view CL at YC, you will have a nice view!! If it is before January 1, 2011 and you booked a garden view CL at YC, it could be a nice view but it could also be a roof or parking lot.

Thanks Teena- we will be there the last week in January. I was not sure if garden view was of the gazebo or the gardens looking at the front of YC. I met you at the BC this past January. I was wanting to walk up to you and talk but I was too shy. After about 10 minutes and moving closer to you in the chairs, I thought I had better starting talk to you or be escorted out by security for stalking you :rotfl2:!

I like that they are changing the way they do the room classifications. :thumbsup2 This way you will really know what you are getting.

Teppan Edo is one of my favorites. I have to get over to that food store at Japan too soon. They have Masa's Ginger-Soy Dressing & Marinade there and I love it on rice and can't buy it anywhere else. If anybody is over there this week, pick me up a bottle and I'll pay you back!!!! I'm just about out and I know I can't get over there probably until mid to late September.

Don't you love those noodles you get with your meal there? So good! I love the Filet ... so yummy and the chocolate ginger cake is wonderful! Darn ... now I'm hungry and it's only 10 AM!

We are eating dinner there our first night.:love: The kids love it, on our last trip i got a stomach bug that night  and had to leave dinner and go back to the hotel so this is my do-over. Can't wait. Only 24 more days

Although I don't know for sure yet, I would think anything "green" and not roof or parking lot would be classified as a garden. The yucky views will all be standard for sure.

So excited.....

We were booked at BC for 14 nights in a std view room. We really really wanted a water view and there just wasn't anything available. So when the GP discounts came out we spoke to our TA and said we really would like a water view room and we would move to YC as well just to keep our options open. But there wasn't anything available for the last 10 nights (the first 4 nights have a summer 40% discount and the last 10 nights are from Oct 3, so was waiting for Fall discounts). Our TA gave us other options, to keep the 4 nights std view at BC then BWI or Poly for the other 10. We had our heart set on BC really, we love Stormalong Bay, have all of our ADR's organised around being at BC so decided to just keep our BC std view ressie and just keep checking to see if a water view became available between now and when we arrive and if not ask at check in if there are any water views available and pay to upgrade.

So I awoke this morning to an email from my TA and she got us a Water view at YC for the last 10 nights. So... we are 8 nights AKL savannah view, 4 nights BC std view and 10 nights YC water view (at WDW for 22 nights) :yay::yay::yay: So excited!

Anyway now I am not sure what requests to make for our water view at YC.

Do all of the YC rooms have a full balcony? If not we will request that.
Also what are the water view rooms like of Stormalong Bay? Are there such rooms available? Is that a good spot? I would love any suggestions.

Well...DH and I switched from AKL standard view to YC water view! All due to the new AP rates. Although I'm sure we'll have a great time no matter where we stay, I secretly wanted to stay at the YC since the very beginning! We're eating in Epcot most nights, and the idea of walking back to our hotel room is so appealing :woohoo:

Of course, I've had to tweak our ADRs a bit...we're arriving in the evening, and originally had reservations at Boma. So, now I switched those to Les Chefs de France, and moved Boma to the next night. I wonder how we'll get back to YC from AKL late at night, though (our dinner reservation is for 8:40). Also, I switched breakfast on our last morning from Boma to Cape May...is that a good breakfast choice?

I'm so excited! Christmas-time at the YC!!!

Wow 22 nights at Disney. I would think I had died and gone to heaven. :faint:

All the balconies (as far as I know) at the YC are full size. We stayed lagoon view CL YC last year and had a great view of the lake which is what we wanted. I was pretty confident we would get that view staying CL. (too bad I can't use my 40% code for that again) They had a great deal last year just for CL. Before we upgraded to CL we had water view booked and I had requested upper floor view of lake.

Have a great trip!

Sorry about the photos, folks! According to Photobucket, I have exceeded my 10 GB of bandwidth and they are "encouraging" me to upgrade to unlimited bandwidth. I'll deal with this in the morning.

If I pick up marshmallows at the store for the bonfire on the beach before the nightly movie will there be skewers and/or sticks we can use or do I need to get those also? I'm so excited we start our drive down to BCV on Thursday.

The BC/YC is still fully booked for our dates but we managed to book the Poly :goodvibes

We will still plan on stopping at the BC to take a look at the new lobby and we'll miss SAB but we're looking forward to the monorail and Wishes from the beach.

Hope you all have wonderful vacations and hopefully the YC will be available next year!

They give out marshmallows for roasting (and some kind of thing to roast them with) at the Beach before the movie so you don't need to buy them.

I sure wouldn't know...my tv was stuck on the golf channel:sad2:The rare times we were in the room...golf channel...golf channel...golf channel...One morning I got up and yelled no more golf channel:rolleyes1
