I have been trying to find the room layout map, but can't......does anyone have a link? :confused3

How did it take me so long to realize there was a new thread??? :lmao:
Great job Dee! Thank you for taking the time to do this and making it accurate!

We arrive in less than a week. I can't believe it! I had a crazy week at work last week - including emergency surgery at 3:30 Monday morning (thankfully I was the surgeon and not the patient!). I'm still recovering! I think I have all of our last-minute trip shopping done and most details finished. We ordered from garden grocer, requested a babysitter from Kids Nite Out, had a new stroller delivered to BC (already there and waiting for us!), Magical Express confirmed, etc. I can't finish packing because the kids need clothes, bathing suits, and backpacks for their last week of camp.

I can't wait to see Teena. Still hoping to entice lots of people to a meet at BC on Sunday, August 22nd. I think we were talking about 5:30pm? We have a 6:15pm ADR in Mexico so we can't stay for too long but hopefully others can.

I'm bringing a computer so hopefully will be able to update while the kids are sleeping!

Thanks Natebenma for your hard work on this page!

Trying to get to last minute details and have discovered laundry will need to be on the agenda for this trip. :laundy: I think I remember reading the YC has laundry facilities? Location? Was it $2 to wash and $2 to dry? And are they "He" or standard (not sure what I should look for in a small detergent). Thanks-everyone on this board is so helpful!

Yes it is 2/2 and HE and it is located on the first floor and pray to God you don't get a room near the laundry room. Right by the AC room. It is so loud in the hall you can't hear youself talk to someone. I can't imagine being in the rooms around it. There is also a washing machine outside by quiet pool in that little building......

Is this the one you mean? I just posted this on the front page, but I think there are some disclaimers to go along with this. Maybe the room classifications are not all accurate? I'll see if I can find that info.

Well, I can't speak for the rest of the map, but it states that room 4668 has a full width balcony. We just stayed there and it does not.

We're home from our very first stay at the Yacht Club. It is now my new favorite. The concierge staff was so friendly and helpful. The food choices were quite nice. We had a great room (5177) with a wonderful view of the lagoon. I loved sitting on the balcony at night watching the Friendship Boats sail on by. We could see the fireworks from Illuminations from the balcony as well. Housekeeping was fine. The pool was wonderful. Although it was warm enough to make a cup of tea on our first day there, it cooled down to a perfect temperature for the rest of our stay. We loved the sandy bottom and the lazy river. Now I can't wait to go back, but school starts on Friday, and the pocketbook is thin. It might be a while before we get back, but the Yacht Club will be the goal! :flower3:

Glad you loved it!! It's so nice to hear people come home and have really enjoyed their resort!!

Only 41 days til we arrive at BC for 6 days :cool1: ! Anyone know the hours that SAB is open during the last week of September?

TIA!
Cindy

I think it's a great idea re. the views :goodvibes

Re. garden view CL at the YC, does that mean you won't overlook the front/entrance at all now?

I can't tell you anything yet for sure since I don't have the list of what each room is going to be changed to category wise.

I would ASSUME that if it has a view of the front and it's a pretty view with trees and gardens plus the front (bridge, etc.), it could very well be a garden view. However, if it's the front and all you see is roof and nothing pretty, then I would assume it's a standard view.

well our 2013 family trip got moved up 3 months so now I can say its under 3 years away.

We were planning on going at the end of September for value season, and hopefully free dining but my youngest brother will still be in college so I guess we can't go in Sept :( I suggested January, but my mom is afraid of ice on the airplanes, LOL. (this will be her first time flying and she is terrified) so we're looking at middle/end of May 2013.

Hoping for a good promotion since it won't be free dining time and it's not value season :(

Still need help with room view request. 1st stay at BC with a standard room booked.

What I've read on here is be specific on what you want. If you only know what you don't want (roof or parking lot) Teena has said 2nd floor request can be good - not high enough to see a roof. Or you can request courtyard view or facing epcot should get you woods or illuminations if high enough. Also at BC if you'd prefer full balcony add that to request since about half are standing room only. Anything specific you would like for a view?
