Now THAT is an international cruise I'd do. I wasn't much for the idea of the Med cruise when it was offered, mainly because I'm not sure how much my young children would have been able to do. But I wish we had looked further into the transatlantic. A Baltic might interest me, as well. It's just that FLIGHT....how do you keep young ones entertained that long??!!
My kids were 7 and 10 last summer when we went. They're generally pretty mellow, so they just read and colored. My oldest played his game boy. Then they went to sleep - got about 4 hours of sleep on the flight over. They actually did much better than I did - couldn't sleep a wink! I was shocked at how well they did the next day. The plan was to stay awake all day long. They were bouncing off the walls, and my dh and I were the ones dragging.
I noticed that there are direct flights to London from Dulles, a few of which leave in the morning, so you don't have the overnight flight. Think I'd prefer that option. Its the price that kills me!
