I recently made a Hertz rental through Priceline (express deal). Is there anyway to add my Hertz account to the reservation? Hertz told me only Priceline could do it. Priceline said only Hertz can do it.
Can’t remember what the confirmation email looks like directly from Priceline.
We use car rental savers (they funnel thru priceline, @ lower rate I can find directly thru them).
In their confirmation email I can see two different reservations numbers. One a trip #, the 2nd a shorter reservation # (should have 11 digits, combo of letters & digits).
When I forget to originally input my Hertz rewards account # when booking, I log into my Hertz account and add it easily.
Can you cancel? Avoid Hertz at MCO. They have installed AI scanners and have been charging people for minor scratches. Too many horror stories.
We rent thru them every other month or so, scanner in use the last two trips. no issues with it…knock on wood. Not specifically doubting anyone. I do often wonder if the reports I’ve seen are actual experience or more of an anecdotal recounting from those trying to be helpful.
I always go over the car before we start ‘er up, no matter what vendor/site. Takes a minute, well worth it as ‘insurance’ IMO. Any scratches or dings, I take a date stamped pic.
If we are forced to take an assigned car from vendors who assign specific vehicles, I write on the contract where any damages are located & have the gate attendant sign it.
