Your idea makes me think they should totally produce an "Amazing Race" type Disney Endurance show! Wouldn't that be fun?? Jetsetting to all the parks, but in record time, having to ride all the rides by a certain deadline, and throwing in other obstacles or challenges that contestants have to complete in order to advance! I know *I'd* watch!!!

Watch? Heck, I'd want to be on it! hahaha. That would be cool though...Disney's Amazing Race!

I was going to edit, but I'll just reply here instead - I'm thinking of more things! It could also involve the Disney Cruise Line AND Adventures by Disney, so there really could be endless possibilities! Challenges within ports of call...on tours, etc. I'd want to be on it too!!!! Maybe they could even make it a family challenge kind of like that RV show that was on earlier this summer!! They really should do this!!

And thank you again!! I'm working on a sort of 'Embarrasing Photos Part 2' blog entry right now which includes my prom & wedding pictures!

The question for Waiting Day 9/10 is:

This one requires a bit more thought or at least it does for me. I saved it to help keep stressed minds busy today! Yes, you all read the waiting day counter right........ONE MORE DAY!

Now the question set up. Excuse the terminology as it seems every five years or so companies and corporations change the employer labels.

As the newly hired CM in charge of public relations and advertising for Walt Disney World, what campaign would you launch to get "The World" out to the rest of the world?

This could be a catch phrase, cute idea for a TV commercial or radio blip, a billboard idea, or anything that gets the public eye.

As head public relations CM you are also in charge of approving the new theme for the upcoming "Year of" campaign. What promotion do want to see implemented in the parks for the next few years?

No cheating by going back to something that has already been done!


I think I will cheat and use Zanna's idea of "An Amazing Race, Disney Style". That is truly a brilliant concept. I know I and DD would try out for it! The television coverage would entice so many people to come and see this "World"!
You could expand it to a daily thing in each park where a family is picked to do something like an attraction scavenger hunt. You could have little mini events where groups of people could win merchandise for the show and prizes like a free snack or gift certificates to the shops.

What fun that would be!

My idea before that was still just developing in my mind and had something to do with a program like the frequent buyer, user, flyer programs that reward customers for repeat visits or buys. I wish there was a way for Dis addicts to be rewarded for their addiction!

Tiggsntx- I don't know about any rock star thing... I just think I'm plain crazy, but we had to move because the house we were in was spray painted by gangs, and I am a prosecutor- we don't think the 2 are related (even though I come up against these guys all the time, I don't think they know I live there) but we weren't taking any chances! Thankfully, my mom is coming down wednesday to help with the packing/cleaning, and then moving day is Friday, while the little one is in "school".

As far as my "bucket list" goes, I really have been blessed to do most of my biggest Disney dreams- especially Tokyo DisneySea. I lived about 3.5 hours by plane from Tokyo on an island near Guam for 2 years, and went 5 times. It's amazing, I think all Disneyphiles should go at least once. Most of biggest dreams involve WDW... such as:

Victoria & Alberts
Richard Petty Driving Experience- not for myself, but my dad, who's always been a frustrated racecar driver at heart
Spend an entire month there and finally get around to doing all the "one days"... (you know, "One day, I'm gonna go parasailing like those people; One day, I'm gonna spend all day on the Polynesian beach in the hammock drinking fruity drinks)
I'd like to spend more than 3 days at Disneyland Paris as well... (I was there in 2005 when I lived in London, but we weren't there long enough!)

I'm sure I have many many more, but don't we all!!

Here's to the last 24 hours... may we all wait without the aid of mind-altering substances!!

Good Morning All! I ma catching up from the weekend posts. My brother got married this weekend so I was out of pocket and now I am getting a cold!

Anyway...

Best Animiated Movie.... There is no way I could pick just one!
Best Movie.... I like Mary Poppins. Love Julie Andrews!
Bucket List....Visit all the parks around the world, Visit the Disney Studios Museum on CA., Eat at V&A (on the agenda for the next visit to WDW), Do most of the backstage tours (need to wait to the kiddos are older though), stay at the Grand Floridian

I'll have to put some thought into today's question....

Anyway, I'm trying to catch up with homeschooling, cleaning, moving furniture back and watching closely for Mom's Panel developments. It's good to be back with ya'll. My DH got it first (along with strep and bronchitis), then DD got it (along with strep), so I have been playing nurse all last week (and now clean/disinfect)! I even had to cancel our girls only Disney trip that was supposed to be last week...Hope those waiting to hear about round 3 are not going too nuts!

I think I've been really lucky to spend some of the waiting time at WDW, it sure helped to keep me from obsessing constantly.. thinking about it every minute instead of every second

I'd love to share the other thing that's been keeping me occupied all this time.. I haven't wanted to say much as I'm scared of jinxing it... but hubby and I are in the process of buying a business. We've been working on it for a couple of months, but really into the nitty gritty since coming back from the World last week. It's a restaurant, in a little town where we have a cottage and a lot of family history, and it would mean that we'd be together a lot more as he currently works waaayyy up North in the mining industry. So.. please send me a little of that pixie dust if you would

I've been trying to tell myself that if we GET the restaurant, and I DON'T get the panel... then it will all be for a reason. But of course, I want BOTH!!!!

Good luck once again to all of you... I can't wait to see who makes it to the interviews!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your trip, and the flu!! Sounds like everyone is on the mend, which is great, but wow, how rotten to miss your trip. Can you reschedule?

OK, back to this and this but instead of popcorn i'm raiding the kids' candy bowl (they trick-or-treated at the zoo yesterday and well, when my nerves get the best of me, i eat candy. ugh. i'm going to gain 5 lbs today! haha).

Traci, I gained 6 POUNDS during 12 days at WDW!!! I need to be doing more of this and less of this !!!
Happy to say that one week at home and I got rid of those 6 pounds, but my problem is there's a whole lot more there to lose yet!
"Free Dining" is not so free when you see how much of it you bring home with you

We are going to try for another trip probably in the spring when my friend (who we were going with) moves back down here. I knew on Monday that we wouldn't be able to go, so she just called Disney and added her DH to the ressie and took me off, so it wasn't a big deal.

Sending pixie dust for the restaurant. My DP and I used to work with our offices next to each other for 3 years. It is some of our fondest memories when we think back of the time we worked together. I hope the same for you!

I keep checking in wondering if they may release the 3 round finalists early to surprise everyone. Probably not but a girl can hope can't she?
