In the midst of all this jubilation:yay:, I hope some of you can pause for just a moment:sad1: and feel sorry for the rest of us poor souls (i.e. Canadians) without Disney Visas:sad2:.

sniff, sniff........
I know the feeling!!!!:confused3

We had the exact same problem. The CM insisted that I make two different reservations. We need two rooms with two adults and five kids. I hated the idea of different ressies because I thought it could increase our chances of not getting an adjoining room.

I have never paid for a two room deposit, so I told the CM I had to think about it and called again. The new CM gladly made one reservations with two rooms. He even commented that the CM was trying to make quota or something.

I tried calling again to get it adjusted but once again I was told that it had to be two seperate ressies and they would link them...I checked my cc and they have already taken 2 deposits...which I wouldnt mind if it were the same for everyone...but it doesnt seem to be  think I may call tomorrow and speak to a supervisor or something... still happy though:laughing:

Are there any rumors out there for those of us who want to go after 10/2? How long before that announcement will be out?

Many forums are now reporting that the GP is either Sunday or Monday.. can someone one the phone with a CM ask for sure? But I believe it has been posted a bunch of times back around page 110 of this thread that indeed the GP offer is coming in the next week or so..

Probably Sun or Mon.

OK, so Knox i used a TA that is closed on Sundays  If it comes out can i call disney myself and have it changed???

ALSO Q#2 Does anyone know the difference upgrading DP at a value compared to upgrading resort....we have Pop booked for 8 night but I am considereing switching to POFQ

Typically Pop has lasted WELL into the GP offer and there have been some folks in the past who insist the DVISA offer and the GP offer are different room inventories for each offer.

Chin up.

:thumbsup2 Listen to the man he knows his stuff;) You will be fine. I would think they would have a certain amount of rooms at every resort for the gen pub and DV. Then again maybe they will over book like last year and we will get magically:wizard: upgraded:lmao: JK I am happy with what I got:cool1:

I called a CM about when the GP will get FD. I kept grilling and grilling and grilling - because she sounded like she wanted to tell me. She said it will be soon but she is not allowed to say when. It will be "few" days later, but it will be "soon" - within the next week. She said it would be advertised on TV and the websites. They have an "iffy" date, but nothing is concrete. I said "so I'll just tell everyone to call Monday", she said "that we be great - we'd be glad to assist them".

I also asked her if there is a seperate block of rooms for the GP. She said she honestly doesn't know the answer to that question, but that is the advantage of having a DVisa. Sorry, couldn't get anything else out of her!

Thank you so much for going to the trouble of trying to find out for all us that are waiting. I for one appreciated your effort!:grouphug:

I'm guessing by your siggy your all adults 10.00 for each adult would be 320.00 for the 8 nights. I'm taking a guess and you still will end up paying around 250.00 or so for a mod. But I didn't run exact figures. Also depends on your dates. We start our vacation in value season but end in regular season so that makes a diffrence also.

We looked into moderate pricing and for our vacation 9 nights it was 670.00 more for a moderate. But we don't have to upgrade the dining plan because we booked bounceback at pop.

Upgrading at a value is $10 per person per night.. (adults) and $2 for kids 9 and under.

You cannot call and change something booked thru a TA. IF it comes out on Sunday.. your only choice (and it's a devilish one) .. is to call, make an entirely new booking.. have your TA cancel what you had and take over the new reservation you made on Sunday..

All possible.

But the DVisa site is saying May 3 for the general public so I don't think it will be an issue.

Hi I booked CBR at first my total was 2165 for 7nights no PH I then switched to POP(my original plan) and my total was 1859. this inc. upgrading to the reg DDP so still a 300.00 savings for me vs the mod. My mom saved 400 by switching to POP. This is not the total savings, just the price difference btwn resorts:) for us its worth it to stay at POP I have never stayed value and am looking forward to trying something new:yay: Im thinking of using the 300 I saved to upgrade my tix to PH when we get there

What is PH???
thanks Knox, I may have to! She'll (TA) scream

So excited!!! I got through with no wait at all (and even the automated system was a lot quicker than in the past) and got free dining for POR from 9/24 to 10/2! :yay:

Thank you to the Disboards! :cool1: The CM was funny, he said "good for you, keeping right on top of the discounts." I told him I check the boards religiously! I'm kind of bummed that they required a 2 day ticket, but what can you do? At least we can save those for another trip as we have GAD passes that we are going to upgrade.

Now what am I going to do to pass the time until September?

Hi fellow Mainer!!! We'll just have to find another thread to follow.......:lmao:

I just got mine added to our 3 rooms. But, no standard view rooms available at WL. Had to upgrade to Woods view.

Yikes. Anyone else have problems booking this deal on a standard room at WL? We're going 8/15 and would hate to have to change resorts or upgrade to stay.

Fairly common that certain room categories don't have availability on special offer and standard rooms at WL fall into that grouping.

You may have to upgrade or change resorts.

Remember.. if the standard rooms are well booked before the promo room inventory is allocated .. then ... none of those rooms will be given promo room inventory.
