2010 Fall Dining for DVISA Is Out (See FIRST page)'

Ok I have waded through 18 pages of this thread and now I'm even more confused than is my natural state.

I have a reservation at ASMu with DP already booked for 9/10-18. I booked with the 20% pin so didn't pay rack rate. I have all my ADR's made and they are connected to my reservation. I have a Disney Visa but did not use it to book. IF the rumor is true and free dining is offered, I ran the numbers and I can book the same trip at CSR (is that how you shorten Coronado Springs?) or CBR (Carribean Beach) for almost the same amount as I planned to spend.

Sooo, to finally get to the question, if I upgrade to the moderate with the free dining do I lose my ADR's?

Thanks for wading through the back story!
:goodvibes

you will NOT lose your ADRS, but be sure you have each individual ADR confirmation number as your resort reservation number will change...

You get to keep your ADR's with one discount 20% or rack rate and free dining ...

Awesome thanks for the quick response!

Now I just have to decide if I want to save a couple hundred or just consider the money already spent and enjoy the upgrade. DD LOVES the poolsde movies at ASMu but a dip in the hot tub after being dragged around the parks all day sounds REALLY good. :cloud9:

I'm looking for some opinions please. What mod & what deluxe do you think will fill up first/fastest if FD gets released?

:confused:WHY DID CANADIANGUY SAY THAT THIS YEARS FD PROMOTION ROOM SUPPLY WOULD BE LESS THAN OTHER YEARS? WHATS DIFFERENT THIS YEAR?

And the other one is consistently the standard room at WL. In fact in 2008 a friend of mine was trying to book WL and the standard rooms were gone at 7:40AM!!!:scared1:

And as an aside to a fellow "CanadianGuy", did you notice the Canadian Dollar closed higher than the U.S. dollar today.:thumbsup2 Great news since I still have a 5000US$ balance to pay on my August trip.

Gosh no! I've been so embroiled in this I haven't been watching the currency levels. Yee haw. That IS some good news.

Can you add FD online to an existing reservation? :confused3 :surfweb:The thing I dread most is the darn 20 questions you have to answer before you get to a person , when you call on the phone! It will take forever to get through to someone at 7:00am with all those darn questions! :headache:

This has been answered a bunch. The answer is probably. When you call in once the offer is released.. the CM on the phone will tell you what options you have if your exact resort, room category and dates don't align with the promo room inventory.

Is disney expecting a bigger attendance this year or something? Im confused!

I said that because that was the info that was passed on to me. I haven't a foggy clue if that's true or why it would be true. It may or may not be the case and ... as I said yesterday ... we'll probably never know for sure one way or the other.

For Melanie320..

Room rates and tickets would both go up slightly.. Paying to upgrade from QSDP (if required) .. would also add to the total. Also, if either of your kids aged past 9 years.. that would also increase your total significantly.

Again.. the QS at the values thing.. that was what was passed along to me from several sources. Does it absolutely mean that will be the offer - heck no. We won't know ANYTHING for sure til the offer is released.

May 3rd seems sooo far away...but it's something to look forward too!! Thank you for all of your hard work!!

my guesses would be: POR AB rooms and CBR preferred rooms... WL for deluxe... maybe CR garden wing rooms also for deluxe...

So am I correct in assuming that if we are booking an entirely new reservation when (if) this promotion drops, we can do so online?

Also if I plan on purchasing an AP, do I make the reservation with the tix for the length of stay, and then upgrade to an AP when I get there? I am going back in December, and in January as well for the marathon.

I really hope this rumor turns out to be true!

:confused:Any "rumor" on the extension of the 20% - 30% - 40% room discount?:confused3

Notta word. THat doesn't mean it won't be extended.. That means I haven't heard a thing about it. Which would be considered normal. That's not the 'hot topic' that F/D is... :goodvibes

Online booking - probably but that is sometimes a day or two behind accepting reservations on the phone. So keep that delay in mind.

Upgrading to an AP - for the F/D promotion, I'd do the upgrade on the last day of my trip. Minimal chance of the ticket switch-out causing problems with your dining credits under that scenario.

Why is that important? Because sometimes when doing ticket changes on a room with dining entitlements too .. the dining credits can get messed up. Why risk it.. no difference in the AP if you upgrade to it on day 2 or day 10.

In the past upgrades to DLX DDP have been at the posted difference in the prices.. which I believe is about 30$ per adult per day.

I've taken a second to write a "FAQ" for the tentative offer that we all hope is released per the first post in this thread.. It answers a lot of the basic questions we keep seeing over and over in this thread.

That is a sticky located here:

That's perfect... beats having to read 1000 posts of fluff.

Thanks - from a fellow Canadian Guy!
