2010/2011 Armed Forces Salute Tickets

OK. question for Cheshire or anyone else who knows the answer from asking Disney:
We bought 6 military tickets this year. My sister used one with us in May and had plans to go again in September, but might delay her trip until December if this year's tickets will be extended. I can't offer her any for next year until I know what our plans are for next year, or even if we're going to be able to get another 6 next year, even if she goes when we're there in December. Will she be able to use the 2011 ticket in 2012 if the offer's been "extended"? It's already been activated.

Any of the Armed Forces Salute tickets purchased on or after October 24, 2010, are valid through September 30, 2012 or until all entitlements are used, whichever comes first.

Ok here are a few I couldn't find answers to...
Some of my family are going to WDW using my DVC points.
My sister will be staying with them and she has military ID and will be purchasing tickets.
She bought 2 tickets for her children in Feb. does this mean she can only buy 4 more this year or can she buy 6 tickets EACH time she goes to WDW.
Ok, now for another...
If she buys the tickets and goes to the parks with them to activate them 2 days, then 2 days at Universal I know the others in the group can continue to go to the parks without her for the remainder of the two days. BUT:
There will be one member of the group who can't get to the parks till after the 4th day. He will not be able to be there with the rest of the group to activate his ticket but wiill be spending the last 2 days with the group minus the military person. Can he use the ticket or will it have to be activated by the group during one of their days with the military person?
Hope you understood what I am asking, I tried to make it clear.

The person with the ID can activate all of the tickets at once, making them all eligible to use, but she will need the name, birthdate, home address and telephone number of everyone she is activating for.

I did this last month. My Mom and brother arrived two days after I did, I activated their tickets on Saturday night, they didn't use them until Monday afternoon.

Since the Armed Forces Salute tickets are now available in unlimited sets of 6, could we buy a set of 6 and use it at the beginning of our trip, then go back and buy antoher set of 6 to use for the 2nd half or our trip? We have 6 of us going to Disney & staying for 9 nights, so it would be grea tif we could do that. We're going the end of October.

That is what we are doing in Dec, we are booked for 7 nights and I am going to buy each of us (1) 4 day with hopper and (1) 4 day with hopper and WPF&M, we will probably use 4 to 6 days and probably one Disney Quest and save the remaining days for next year.

Ok, from everything I have read...we can purchase unlimited sets of 6 at the Disney Ticket windows but does anyone know if we can also do this at Shades of Green? Their website still says limit of 6 total, nothing is said about sets of 6 at a time. I read Cheshire's thread and it does state that the unlimited sets of 6 is a Disney internal rule:

Disney has added (on June 8, 2011) to the internal rules: "Guests may participate in this offer as often as they wish as long as no more than six (6) tickets are sold in each transaction." But it still limits activation by a spouse to five tickets; to activate six tickets the service member must be present.

But it also states:

Please be aware that there are some self-imposed restrictions at some military locations and information sites. The information posted above are Disney's rules. And since tickets have to be activated at WDW by Disney Cast Members, these rules do apply.

So I guess what I am wondering...has anyone already purchased more than one set of six tickets over at Shades of Green. I prefer getting my tickets there because there is no sales tax on them.

I have only bought 2 from SoG, but based on what the saleslady was telling me, they are more lenient than even Disney, but that was in Dec and April.

You might need to buy the first set at Shades and then the second at the Disney ticket booths.

There always seems to be a disconnect between Disney and the military ticket sellers. Prior to the extension the military was holding to the one time only purchase (even if you only bought 2) while Disney would let you do several transactions totaling 6 tickets.

Cheshire Figment - I just wanted to let you know that I found exactly the info I was looking for about military tickets! I really appreciate your info and the work you do to keep it so up to date!!!
:goodvibes Thank you so much!!! :goodvibes

We just booked a room for Dec 10-16 at POFQ and got the military discount, it came to $106/night. I had called because I got a pin code and mentioned something about military and the Castmember told me that the military discount was much better (pin code was for $136/night) Sweet! We are going to Disney!!!:cool1:

New question ( I am just too lazy to read through this entire post):

I think I read that I can purchase the ticket and then activate it for someone else, is this correct?

I am leaving on Wednesday and I wanted to purchase a ticket for my neice who will be visiting in October, so could I purchase the ticket, activate it with her name and address and then she can use it in October? Is this how it works?

Thanks so much...any other info I need? Do they need to know the travel dates?

It doesn't work that way. You can't buy the tickets and activate them for someone who is not traveling with you and isn't going for months. If that is the case then people will buy a ton of tickets, activate them for fake people, then sell them on ebay for double profit. Can you seriously do this? If that is the case then I'm buying them for all my friends that are going later in the year and the beginning of next year without me.

If you can indeed do this, this will be the death of this ticket. Too many people will abuse this and they will yank the offer next year. I fear this is the last year we will see this amazing deal.
