200909?? - Third Annual Fall ladies trip-Sept. 2009

Hi Everyone,
Disney Deeva-I would love to join you again this year for PFTS if that's okay with you. For the rest of you, you really should consider doing this at least once-it was a lot of fun and the food was very good.

Absolutely! I had a wonderful time last year. This year, I think I'll save the picture taking until closer to the end...it took too much time away from eating and drinking. :rotfl2:

DisneyDeeva - what day are you thinking about the Segway tour??

It's offered Tuesday through Saturday at 8:30 and 11:30.

I was thinking of doing this on Tuesday, 10/6 - I'd love to try for the early one. I won't have a car and don't really want to deal with the internal bus at Ft. Wilderness.

Right now, Tuesdays are a.m. EMH at the MK. So, I was thinking I could take an early bus from Pop to MK, then hop the boat over to Ft. Wilderness. I should be able to make it there by 8:30, right? I'm keeping Wednesday open...just in case EMH changes when the October calendar comes out.

Will the 6th work for you? Is anyone else interested in doing the Segway tour with us. I did the Epcot one last year and LOVED it!

Hi.. I am thiking of MNSSHP on 10/6 as I can get the AP/DVC discount.. anyone else??? Oh and I changed to OKW for the entire time.. :thumbsup2

I am meeting for breakfast the lady that I am traveling with and setting the time.. I am thinking that Tuesday 10/6 I can do the Hollaween Party and DTD - WPE for lunch and the Segway Tour at Ft Wilderness with DisneyDeeva...

Hi Geffric,
I am planning to do MNSSHP so 10/6/09 sounds good to me. I went to the party last year and the year before and really enjoyed it. If you go with Macraven you can expect to score huge amounts of candy!!! My sons were eating that candy for months. I can't wait to do it again.

anyone interested in a 5:00 dinner at Tony's, GF Cafe, or Kona's on that tuesday prior to mnsshp?

ooooo Can we do 4:30ish dinner so we can get to the party sooner?? But i vote for Kona.. I love that place.. never been to the others are they good??

4:30 at kona sounds like a plan for me !!
each time i go there for dinnner, i always order the terryaki steak.
love it....

i have had dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe and loved it!
Tony's menu has changed and looks like i would enjoy it there again.

i have eaten at tonys about 5 times so far.
the menu changed 2 years ago and the one they have now is more my style.

GFC, i love the area it is located in and the food there for dinner.

i think 4:30 would be a great time for dinner on that tuesday.

yea, let's plan on kona for that tuesday.

i can go to the other 2 places for dinner on other nights while i'm at the motherland.

Sorry ladies - Kona doesn't begin serving dinner until 5:00. As for me, I'm in for MNSSHP. But, I'm a bit of a food snob. Kona is OK but I'm not a big fan of Tony's or GFC. My plan for that day is to do the FW Segway Tour with Geffric, take a buss to DtD for a bit of lunch at WPE and some shopping. Then, head over to High Tea at the Garden View Lounge. After that, I'll make a beeline over to MK for the party.

BTW - I'll have a slew of CS meals to share with you guys if we care to nosh that evening - no way I can use up all my credits and I certainly don't want them to go o waste.

If anyone else wants to join us for the tour or share a spot of tea with me, I'd love the company.

BTW - here's a preliminary list of my planned meals. What do you think? Not sure yet how long Shirley is staying and I have no idea which ones she will join me for.

Raglan Road
Tusker House
Artist Point
Coral Reef
Jiko
50s PTC
Yachtsman Steakhouse
The Wave
California Grill
Narcoossees
Chef De France
LeCellier
Nine Dragons
Sanaa
Tutto Italia
Spoodles or Kouzzina
Garden View Lounge
Brown Derby
Citricos
Flying Fish
Breakfast at CRT

I'm also planning on PFTS on 10/3, Sweet Sunday on 9/27 and will be attending a special dinner/show at The Adventurers Club on 9/24. It sounds like a lot but I'll be there for 17 days.

i would love to do citricos or yachtsman and a few more on your list.

do you have any idea on what days for the meals on your list?

DisneyDeeva - I talked with Marita today and while she is in for MNSSHP she thinks the segway is too pricey.. so I guess I will have to skip that this year.. maybe next..

Do you know what days you are doing what dining?

Evening EMH is ( i think)

Saturday 10/3 - ??
Sunday 10/4 - MK
Monday 10/5 - AK
Tuesday 10/6 MNSSHP at MK
Wednesday 10/7 MGM
Thursday 10/8 Epcot
Friday 10/9 ???

As it stands now, I have PFTS on Saturday, 10/3

10/4 is Nine Dragons and Sanaa
10/5 is Tutto Italia and Spoodles/Kouzzina
10/6 is Garden View Lounge and MNSSHP
10/7 is Brown Derby
10/8 is Citricos
10/9 is Flying Fish and
10/10 is CRT

To be honest, I'm not really jazzed about doing CRT. It gets iffy reviews and I'm not really a "princessy" kinda gal. But, I want to do ALL the Signature Dining restaurants...and that's one of them. Maybe, I'll do that for a late lunch on the MNSSHP day and get it out of the way...hmmm.

Were there any of the restaurants on my list that you were interested in trying out? I don't tend to cast my park itinerary in stone...just wander where my heart (and my ADRs) takes me. But, I do spend a fair amount of time at Epcot. It's my favorite park (followed by AK) and the F&WF draws me in even more than usual.

I haven't firmed anything up yet because Shirley is all over the board with her plans. She will be arriving a couple days after me and is trying to get several of her family members to come along (separate room, of course - LOL!) No idea if she plans on joining me for meals and I get the feeling she doesn't like to be part of a group...where ever did I find this woman?!?!

Anyway, for right now, the restaurants are listed in the tentative order I would eat at (based on where Shirley might want to eat during her stay). If I'm not mistaken, your arrival just about coincides with my planned dinner at Chef De France.

I should know more in the next few weeks and will keep you posted.

DisneyDeeva-there are quite a few of my favorites on your list. On my last trip in January, we had some great meals at Narcoosees, Tutto Italia, and ARtist Point. California Grill is another good one.
On the day of MNSSHP, Kona sounds good if everyone is willing to dine at 5 instead of 4:30. But I would really like to try tea at the GF also.
What's the earliest possible date to start making ADRs?

pat, i'm good for kona's at 5 on that tuesday.

the first day i can make adr's are on july 2nd.

disney diva arrives before me so if anyone wants to have her make adrs for the group, she's the one that will be able to make them first.

i leave for universal on thursday the 8th.
i won't be able to join in on the ones that DD listed for the 8th on.

i still want to do citricos.

we have time to figure out where and what we want to do on meals.
i am thinking we could get an idea from everyone here on what they are leaning towards and go from there.

it would be very nice to be able to keep the group together for some of the meals.

My first ressie starts on 9/24 - so my 90 window opens up the last week in June. But, because my second ressie is 14 days, I don't think I can make the last half of my ADRs until the first of July.

I love Narcoossees (Almond Crusted Cheesecake, mmmmmm), Jiko and Artist Point (we always ask for Izzy as a server). Service at CG is just OK but the sushi is yummy. To date, the only Signature Restaurant I haven't tried is Citricos and it has been many years since I've been to the Flying Fish. Looking forward to both of those!

I would love to do either Jiko again or Artist Point... being "in transition" meaning out of work.. I need to keep the signature dining to a minium and M thinks her situation is strange so we really need 1 TS ... We are on the 5 day Military pass so Tues is a non park day for us until MNSSHP..

This may sound biazarre but what about Boma for late breakfast on 10/6 and then CS at MK?

I would be open to that. I love Boma - breakfast is even better than dinner. If Tues is a non-park day, you could have a great time exploring Jambo House and Kidani Village! There are some amazing things to see there.

:)

Hello there, I was checking this subforum for Dis Meets Sept. 2009 (my Second Annual Fall Lady trip - Sept 2009!).....but seems like this one falls mostly in October.
....I actually think I did read somewhere on the Disboards that October is the new September!:rotfl:

But your statement about attending a special dinner/show at The Adventurers Club on 9/24 caught my eye! Is that a private affair or an Adventurers Club-show & dinner? Sounds interesting. If not a private affair, could you point me to more details?

Please and thanks!

My trip in Sep 15-29 (first 8 days at POP, last 6 at Yacht Club.... Solo trip, but possibility of cousin joining in for Wk1, or for both Wks).

:cutie:
