So what are all the 2009 people up to today? I am sitting here getting caught up on all the Disney boards I am on and listening to DISRadio.

We go to San Diego in two weeks on vacation and I just can't get excited about it. Would rather sit here and dream about our Disney vacation.

I'd rather sit and dream about our vacation too, but unfortunately the kids have baseball and softball games today . I'd much rather stay in and get to planning, but what's a mom to do? Maybe I'll find sometime tonight

I know how you feel. Its kinda nerve racking to know everyone will be reading it. Just know, I did mine way too early, and now its sitting their getting kinda stale!

It's my 12 year anniversary so dh and I just returned from a day trip to Salzburg, Austria and we also toured Hitler's Eagles Nest in Germany. It was very pretty up there. But the whole trip up and down I was reading my Unofficial Guide to WDW and bouncing a ton of ideas off of dh about the upcoming 2009 trip )

I was just looking at flights for 2009 from Providence to Orlando...$765 RT PP!!!
I seriously don't know if we'll be able to do this trip if the costs stay that high.

AAAhhh, I just checked Priceline and I feel a little better...they had $384.

DH mentioned last night that "it'll be great to go down to Madeira Beach after Disney and relax". After staring blankly at him for a minute, I said, "We're going to Mad Beach BEFORE WDW." This is what happens when he ~^*pretends*^~ to listen to me when I mention the trip .

It doesn't matter to me where we go first, but it would have been nice if he had mentioned that before. He tends to get that glazed look when I mention anything disney related. He doesn't understand the planning that is involved, ADR's, etc...... So we are going a week earlier {at least it's not later }

I just looked at when this thread first started I cann't believe that it's been over a year now. WOW time really has flown, I only have a few months until I make my ADRs. I need to start some heavy duty planning.

decided to try somewhere new, and going with All Star Music Suites, rather than our old faithful- Fort Wilderness

We booked Mickey's Clubhouse at Windsor Hills yesterday It is so nice to be able to have that part of the trip decided on and now we can start paying. The owner was great to work with! This thread sure has grown. I have not been reading as regularly, as we have gotten busy with summer baseball. Hope all are doing well and happy planning everyone!

DH and I had a conversation last night about changing our trip dates from 12/28/2009-01/04/2010 to around 01/18/2010 ( our youngest son's 5th birthday) we know the rates will be cheaper and the crowds will be smaller, but I was concerned about park hours and refurbishments. Anyone have any suggestions? My parents and my sister's family are also going and money is an issue for them, so the savings would be great! I would love any advice from anyone that has visited around the third week of January.

I am planning my Disney Honeymoon for June 1-11 2009. I already have the room booked and am not very patiently waiting for the packages to come out. This is my first ever Disney vacation planning with out my parents, it will be my 11th trip and my fiance's first. We are staying at POR my favorite resort.

We are in the same boat. We were originally going to try POR for the first time but I just can't justify the money right now. That extra money is now going towards gas each week. We love POP though so it will still be a great trip.

I found out yesterday that The Disney Store in my mall is closing . The employees said that all stores in CT are closing except for one. What a sad day! I wonder why?

On the bright side, I bought lots of stuff for next years trip ! Right now, everything is 20-25% off. I want to buy the huge stuffed Rocket for my youngest dd, but it's still $50+.

One of my coworkers mentioned that he thought Disney might have really good deals coming up due to the economy. What do you think?

Our store is closing also I went in there last week to buy Disney Dollars and they didn't have any. He said they had to send them all back. That is a major part of my saving. I am not worried about our next trip because I have around $500.00 of them saved up but don't know what I will do for trips beyond that. I like buying them because then I can't spend them on anything else. I used all my gift money that I get for different things to buy them.

I am going to hate to see that store go. I did buy a little credit card holder thing with Mickey heads on it for 20% off. Thought it would be good to put my Key to the World card, photopass, drivers license, etc. in to carry in the parks.
