Thanks for sharing the pics. POP is our favorite also and seeing the pictures makes me want to go right now!!! I thought about decorating our windows this year.

We'll be there in June of 09 as well. Our DS has requested a Disney trip/cruise for graduation so we will be headed to the world in June and follow it on with a 4 day cruise. It will be here before we know it.

How far out can we book the WDW part of our trip?

Those POP photos are great!! If we were going to do value, I'd definitely chose POP, it just looks so cute! I can't give up the transportation and other aspects of the Poly though. As I said earlier on this thread - if it meant we could stay longer, I'd stay Value or off-site in a second. Unfortunately a week is our max, so Poly it will be!

Don't get me wrong--I'd LOVE to stay at the Poly!!!! But fortunately, having the option of staying at a value means we can stay 10-12 days each time. If we were doing deluxe, that same amount of money would get us, what, 4 days? If money were no object, I'd definitely do Poly, or maybe AKL. But for 3 grand, I want to be able to unpack a stay a while!!!
Last time we stayed at CSR, and while I loved many things about it, I missed Pop! I guess I just a Pop-kinda-girl!

so...anyone hear about this tax "refund" most people will likely get this summer??? They're talking up to $1600 for families, that would be AWESOME!! Would you use it toward your '09 trip? We'll be using our '09 tax refund to pay for our trip, but I'd probably put a couple hundred towards some extra goodies. Maybe a couple towards extra goodies on our beach vacation this year too. What I'd REALLY like to do with it is put it towards finishing our basement. DH really doesn't want to, but I REALLY do!!

I logged on to Tour Guide Mike. Just to see what's shakin' over there.
He felt it necessary to remind me that I have 497 days til my vacation begins.
497 days. Sigh.
What does 497 days look like?
I could have 1.75 babies in 497 days. Though that wouldn't be as much fun as planning a WDW trip.
That's two Easters, two Mother's Days, one Fourth of July, one Halloween, one Thanksgiving and one Christmas. Never has the expression "slow as Christmas" been so meaningful.
I'll turn 40 while I wait to go to WDW again. 40. Damn. And DS will turn 12. And then 13 the day we leave. O.M.G.
That's 16 mortgage payments.
3 trips to the dentist. 3!
On the upside...
That's 65 chances for me to stash away $20 per week for the room.
If I walk around my neighborhood everyday til we leave, that's 249 miles total. And some seriously WDW-ready calves.
Surely in 497 days, I can find a decent carry-on bag. My old one has got to go.
I can do this. It beats the heck out of not having WDW on the horizon at all. Now that would really stink.

I know people think I'm nuts. They are never surprised to hear that I want to go back. They don't understand it, but they expect it. They'll actually be very surprised when they figure out that I'm not going this year!

I pulled out my passporter today and started reading through it and filled in a couple of the worksheets. I am so ready to book so I can do even more.

I am still trying to get my scrapbook done from our trip in 2006. I worked on it some today also. At least when I work on it I can dream I am back there.

2 summers ago, we remodeled part of our house. Instead of using the savings by writing checks, we used our disney visa, then transferred over our savings to pay the visa. No interest fees, and we earned roughly $1000 reward dollars! Definetly the most useful card we have !

From what I understand, they are never guaranteed, unless it's a single adult traveling with more children than will fit in one room.

Maybe a family suite at the All-Stars would be a good option?
