Good Morning everyone!!

We booked for Feb 09' also, 2/15-2/21 we will be staying at SSR for the first time as DVC memebers. We will be going for the winter break and I get to share my birthday with MICKEY

I tried to make ADR's for the trip but they said they were updating the system and I should try and call back sometime in OCT, the last ADR's they are able to make is Jan 25th :confused3

So my plan is to make ADR's in Oct, and in Jan 09' I'd like to make a resi for a photo shot at SSR, I think next week the airlines will open up there booking schedule, so I will be busy searching for airefare for our feb trip.

Very excited about the up comming trip but it does seem so far away! 181 days as of today:scared1:

BY the way OP great thread!!!!!

HAPPY PLANNING EVERYONE:thumbsup2

I called Disney a few days ago to find out when i could book our trip for 12/28/09 and she mumbled something about being a certain number of days out and came back and told me it would be sept 18th before i could book a package...the website won't let me book, either....anyone else have this problem? i just can't wait to book!!!!!!

Are you trying to straddle years? Like 12/28/09 through 1/3/10? Perhaps that's the problem.

The Passporter is a planning tool for Disney World and it's awesome! You can order it online or get it from a bookstore. It's a book with EVERYTHING Disney World; restraurants with menus and price scale, info about all the resorts, fold out maps, bus info, park info, a packing list, etc. Anything you can think to ask on Disboards is in this book!!!! No question left unanswered. In the back, there are individual pocket pages to organize your whole day with sections on the back to write down memories of the day and a budget and expense section. Too many things to list!!!! Definitely worth the money!!!

I am really miffed about the ADR thing. I can't believe I can't book 180 days out. Then what, what if I get this DDP and go to make ADR and everything I want is booked? I know Mardi Gras isn't avery busy time, but it is still peak season...ugh!

I feel the same way. I've never gone during Mardi Gras before, so I'm nervous about how much more crowded it will be. On top of that, having to wait to make ADRs has me :scared:

We usually go the end of JAN or first week of FEB, but now our boys are in school, we have to go during Mardi Gras break.

Has anyone noticed they haven't added any 2009 Pirate and Princess dates? The JAN 09 calendar is out, and there are none scheduled. I wonder if we won't have it in FEB? We've never been, and were thinking of giving it a try this time around...oh well...more money to spend elsewhere, I guess!

I feel the same way.

Once they release the ADRs can you imagine what it is going to be like to try and get through to make reservations.

Its going to be a nightmare!!!! :(

I just checked the official disney calendar, and they have started posting the FEB 09 hours!!! :goodvibes

They must have just started putting them up, because they weren't online when I checked earlier this morning!

Edited to add: FYI---It's 12:21 pm, CST right now, and it looks like MK and EPCOT hours are up, but the others are not. Also, they have not added fireworks/parade times & days at this point. I expect they'll update all of that throughout the day today. For those going week of Mardi Gras - I noticed the hours at MK on FRI, FEB 27th are listed as 9a to 7p...so maybe they will add a Pirate and Princess party that night...

We are going to try and go the week after Thanksgiving with no kiddos. I really would like to see the Christmas decorations!!:woohoo:

I would call back and try another CM. Yes, you can only book out by 499 days from your checkout day. I think you should be fine. I booked my trip for Dec 2-9 SEVERAL weeks ago. (Exactly 499 days...haha) However, if you're trying to book into 2010, that COULD be why. In anycase I'd call back and if they tell you the same thing, ask what the reason is. Or contact a travel agent (a GOOD Disney agent) and they would definately be able to tell you why.

SO at what point to they announce hours and EMH? How far in advance? I'm not going till NEXT Dec! UGH! TOOOO long! :rolleyes1

Febuary dates are out:cool1:
Just a few more months until April dates. I too am hoping for them to do the Pirates and Princess Party. I've never been but I would love to go.

Exactly the same time we are going! Arriving the Monday and staying for 2 weeks :cool1: We have been at that time before and it is even more magical. If you have time, make sure you do some "resort hopping" Each one is decorated in a different theme and we like to spend time enjoying that.

Hi 2009'ers!
I have my new ticker! And a slight change for the list - I'm now at POR for the whole trip instead of POP/POR. Woo-hoo, only one year three months to go!! :dance3:

I was thinking about staying somewhere else and DD10 is instisting that we stay there. :goodvibes Okay by me! :thumbsup2
