2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

That is interesting. We don't go during Free Dining so I hope the regular DDP has AT LEAST what it has this year, I'd LOVE the tip and appy to be added back in - I'd pay $50 pp. We really enjoyed doing 1 sit-down meal per day, and the kids like the character meals, so I don't think the all-QS plan would work for us. Even with the quality of Disney's "fast food" (ribs, chicken, etc.) I think I'd still get tired of the ordering, carrying food, crowded atmosphere after 7 days. That's fine for lunch, but I liked being "treated" each evening for dinner!!!

I agree. We went in Sept 2006, had free dining really liked the plan the way it was. Hoping for free dinning for our trip that I'm planning for Sept 2009. I really like the character meals::yes::

Hello everyone... I came across this link for all others planning their trips in 2009. I thought I would say HI. We are planning our trip from April 8-17 and staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter. We originally were going to stay off site but I just love Disney so I cancelled my first reservation and booked there.

I am just curious, has anyone ever been there during Easter? We are getting there a few days earlier and wondering how crowded it is? The last time we went was June 26- July 5 2006 and that was crowded and hot!!! I think I can take the crowds but the heat is a killer.

Welcome miprender!

Looks like everyone must be still sleeping from this weekend!:lmao:

I don't have an answer to your questions, but I'm sure you will find it here!

It will be crowded that week. One of the busiest times of the year. But the weather will be wonderful, nice and warm but not crazy hot. Just plan your days and you will still have a great time.

Checking in....

I am dreaming of arriving and going to Chef Mickeys for dinner. It is such a great way to kick off a Disney vacation for the kids, DH and of course, me.:rotfl:

Last night I was at my parents for dinner. I casually mentioned something about our trip next summer (I try not to talk about it...everyone just rolls their eyes when I talk ;) ). My mom said, "can you wait til dd is 10? Your father said he wants to take everyone when she's 10 (my youngest niece will be 3 then).

Well, there is no way I'm cancelling next summer, but I am up for a trip in 2012 :thumbsup2 !!!!!! I am so excited :woohoo: . Is it too early to begin planning for 2012 :lmao: ???????

Are you kidding?!? Now who do you think you are talking to???:confused3

My trip is finally 12 months away! I started counting down at 36 months :lmao:

I think you all will understand - I know we don't leave until the middle of July2009 - but it just feels so much closer now that it is only 12 months away :goodvibes

Does anyone else experience ticker envy?

On another thread that I often read, a few posters are able to visit WDW several times a year. One poster has had 6 different trip tickers since our last visit in 2006. I am soo jealous :upsidedow

I am thinking about doing this as well. If we decide not to do brunch on our departure day. We did Kona dinner our first night last time and that was wonderful and kind of nice to just hang at the resort and settle in that night (we'll check in early and head to the MK, won't get in our room until afternoon). CM would be a nice kick-off, though, too! I'm still considering so many things with regards to dining!

I'm at 10 months today -tomorrow I'll be in single-digit months!!!

I don't have a ticker....but if I did it would be EXACTLY like yours!!!! :cool1:

I didn't start counting down until 21 months out, but I feel the same way about the trip feeling so much closer!! :cheer2:

Just think..... in a couple weeks we'll be able to say "This time next year we'll be at WDW!" :woohoo: :yay:

I to have ticker envy. I get jealous when I see people going more than once, those who have been every year, tickers that are less than mine, and the sadest of all are those whose tickers are later than mine (that means that when I am back home in the cold they will be in Disney enjoying all my favorites) Sometimes I think that I should just give up move to florida.

DH and I have seriously thought of moving there. But when we were looking at the prices of the homes :scared1:

I was going to schedule a meal for the night we get there, but my fiance doesn't want to be rushed.

I had a dream last night about going to Disney.

OK, 2009 people I need cheering up. This whole economy and oil stuff is really stressing me out. To the point where I worry about going to WDW next year. The trip is already paid for (savings) so that isn't the problem but in the back of my head I keep asking myself is it stupid to spend it on a trip.

Worrying if we will have jobs and how much airline tickets will cost us. I really need to stop reading all the news reports they put out but I am addicted to them I think. It just really brings me down.
