Anyone know the cost of the three dining plan options for 2009?
I know deluxe dining was $69.99/night for adults and $19.99/night for children for 2008. How much has the price increased?

I would like to know the breakdown per day for all packages as well. DU only has it 'from xxx amount for this package...', but that is useless and doesn't break down the actual cost.

I'd also like to know how much each type of dining plan is per day in 2009, but I can't find that information anywhere. If someone finds it, can you please post a link to that information? TIA!

popcorn:: :drinking1 :tiptoe:

I as well need a price breakdown to check which makes sense for us.

I'm interested too, as I've looked all over Disney's website and I can't find anything pertaining to the 2009 DDP prices.....only 2008 :headache:.

Being the accounting nerd I am, I took the info on Dreams Unlimited's site (base package rates for each of the options) and calculated the difference. I can't think of anything that would be different between the various package costs other than the meal plan. IF that is correct, the plans should cost approx. the following:

CS Meal Plan Adults $30.00/day Children $9.33/day
Basic Dining Adults $40.00/day Children $11.33/day
Deluxe Dining Adults $72.00/day Children $21.33/day

Don't be mad if this is wrong. It's just my best guess based on the package base rates. It does look to be in-line with last year's increases, too.

Okay, I read the blurb about the new packages on DU, and it is only listing a few SPECIFIC snacks to use on the meal plan! Is this really true???? No popcorn or fries?

Hoping I can get more info, my TA is AAA and they are closed today, I'll be on the phone with her tomorrow!!!

I do lots of figuring this way, too (from one "accounting nerd" to another :lmao:). In all my figuring I usually round up the DDP cost to $40 anyway (easier to do in my head rather than $38 x 4 ). If this is indeed the pricing, then it's not too bad, IMO, as it's still doable for us :cutie:.
Thanks for posting this info.....and I'm sure if these aren't the exact prices, they have to be very close (I would think) ;).

Already I found different info on the snacks. I still can't find just the price for the DDP though. One lists specific Lay's Chips and no popcorn, one doesn't mention chips and has popcorn. So glad this is clear as mud! :confused3

I believe the dining plan snacks have been listed that way for the past few years. I wouldn't worry that it doesn't include every single snack available - it was like that in 2007 and 2008 too!

Thanks - I feel better after I found it on Disney's site that looks more like the description from this year. I guess with just 4 bullets it seemed like there were less options.

From Disney's site:

1 Table-service Meal
1 adult table-service meal includes 1 entrée and 1 dessert (lunch or dinner only), 1 juice (breakfast only) and 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage, or 1 full buffet.
1 child table-service meal includes 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, 1 dessert (lunch or dinner only) and 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage, or 1 full buffet. Children ages 3-9 must order from a Children's Menu where available.

1 Quick-service Meal
1 quick-service meal includes 1 entrée or 1 complete Combo Meal, 1 dessert (lunch or dinner only) or 1 juice (breakfast only) and 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage. Children ages 3-9 are limited to the Children's Menu (if one is available) at quick-service restaurants.

1 Snack
1 snack includes one of the following: frozen ice cream novelty, popsicle, fruit bar, popcorn scoop (single serving box), single serving grab bag of chips, single piece of whole fruit, 20-oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dasani water, medium fountain soft drink or juice, 12-oz. coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea.

These estimates sound pretty realistic. Thanks for your calculations!

Okay, I was able to price the package for an adult to find the per night price for dining.

this is per ADULT per night of your trip

Quick Service Plan = $29.99
Dining Plan = $39.99
Deluxe = $71.99

I can't attach files, but I have PDFs from WDW's site on all 3 plans. they do NOT list the per night fee though!

DVC members don't buy packages, so my guess is the DVC member site will have the per night price up at some point.

Right now they only have 2008 prices.

no one would actaully give me the exact price it was really annoying

She didn't give exact amounts, but they appear to be right on with what was guessed by others here. Here is the transcript.

Amiko: That is a great choice! In 2009, the difference in price between a Magic Your Way Package and a Magic Your Way Package plus Dining is less than $40 per night per person for ages 10 to adult and less than $11 per night per person for ages 3 to 9. Gratuities are not included and may be paid at your discretion at the dining locations
Amiko: The new Magic Your Way plus Quick Service dining is less than $30 per adult age 10 and older, and less than $9 age 3-9. This plan offers 2 quick-service meals and 2 snacks. It will save you up to 20% on your dining costs. You also get a refillable mug for unlimited refills at your resort.
Amiko: The difference in price between a Magic Your Way Package and a Magic Your Way Package plus Deluxe Dining is less than $70 per person per night for ages 10 and up and less than $20 per person per night for ages 3 to 9. This package includes the Deluxe Dining Plan which provides 3 meals, at either a table service or quick service restaurant, and 2 snacks per person per night of your stay. You also get one Resort mug per person good for soft drink refills at your Disney Resort hotel. Gratuities are not included.

Those prices aren't bad. We're paying $69.99/night for adults for the deluxe now. A $2.00 increase isn't as bad as what I was expecting.
