Anyone else get this email from Adventures by Disney? Basically it offers the free dining still this year, from the period 9/28 to 10/11/2008. Says it starts at $63pp for a family of 4. Looks like the standard free dining promotion! I guess they still have some room left in the resorts! :confused3 It did have a PIN code, so I'm not sure if it's open to everyone or just by email.

Pic codes are guest specific. They WILL verify that the code was sent to just you and not someone else. Disney basically saw some holes in resort bookings and decided to fill them with free dining

at WDW right now...there is availability at hotels & restaurants. We had aDR's from months ago. Empty tables at every table service we've been too, or there was availability for later. Was able to change reservations from Ohana at 5 to Kona Cafe at 6:40 yesterday. Called at 9 a.m. from our hotel room for the same-day change. Kona had empty tables while we were there. Don't think the Free Dining is wreaking havoc on restaurants as it did in the past. Does appear that some are taking up the offer to trade the table service off for counter service...we've heard people talking about it being a much better deal because then they don't have to pay tips at all. Crowds were good size on Sunday (of Labor Day weekend) and busy Monday Morning, but really did fall off after Monday. Very slow by Thursday in the MK. The talk that FD increases the crowds...don't think so. It's not even filling the restaurants this year. Maybe the absolutely most popular,

I was just pointint this out for anyone who might be interested. I don't normally read my "Adventures by Disney" email since there's usually nothing that interests me (or that I could possibly afford!). This one just caught my eye, and since I've been reading the threads about Free Dining for next year since we were considering possibly trying it, I thought it was intering I hadn't read about this here. I do agree that it would probably be almost impossible to get any good ADR's at this point!

I got it too, after reading this and the other thread about it. Crazy!

I just wish I could take advantage of it, ugh.

I saw a lot of empty tables at LeCellier last week but they were still turning away any walk-ups.

There could be empty tables and people beig turned away because of staffing. They could have the space but not the people.
