Can anyone help? Someone posted choc/coconut Mickey treat, but they didn't know what it was called and where you can get them. Does anyone know? They said it was like a mounds w/cocount filling but they did say it was shaped like a Mickey head.

Could you link the post? It's probably Goofy's.

I believe they're called Mickey Mouse Coconut patties. They're larger than Mounds bars, and are Mickey head shapes, dipped in chocolate.(As opposed to Mounds bars that are completely covered in chocolate.) You can find them in most resort gift shops I think. I know we picked some up at the candy shop on Main St. in the Magic Kingdom. The ones we bought came in a box. You may be able to find them in small packs. Not positive though. They're yummy!
Hope this helps! :)

WOW! That sounds delicious. I think I'm going to have to try one of those!

I posted it on another thread and this is what I got:

hopefully it will all come out!;)

'Sounds like you might be looking for the Mickey Mouse Creamy Chocolate-Dipped Coconut Patties. (Admittedly, I've never tried them before, but they sound really good! )

You should be able to find them at the Main Street Confectionery (MK). The Polynesian Resort's BouTiki gift shop also has been known to carry them.

Just for kicks...

(The featured items were purchased in Disneyland.)

The pictures look good! I will see if you can get them for a snack. It doesn't look like you'll be able to get the box.:sad1: But I will see. Will be there in 4 days!:woohoo:

now I know what they are. They sell they at the Polynesian but are probably not included as a snack credit.

According to one of the links posted they also come as just two in a package like a candy bar, but they are only $1.50. I'd rather pay out of pocket!

Snack list seems a little weak for Coronado Springs compared to other resorts. Can anyone confirm any additional snacks ?

Yes, and we have used snack credits (in Jan 2008) for these small packages. (Actually, I didn't know that they sold them in larger packages.)

Yes I know. Some have started a new post on the DP board but have had no luck so far with any responses.

Do you happen to remember where?

[re: chocolate covered coconut Mickey head pkgs of two.] Do you happen to remember where?

Sadly, no, probably at Goofy's Candy Co in DTD.

But, they were a favourite we wanted to repeat that we'd first gotten in 2006, so we were generally on the lookout. I don't think they were available at SSR (although they might have been over in the store-like area) and they're sort of a resort store item, so the only other place we definitely went was Goofy's--we got a bunch of stuff at Goofy's and ate it over a long period.

My best guess is that we got them at the WL store in 2006 and I'm pretty sure we've seen them in other resorts too. But, they aren't usually available in the CS and snack locations.

:) :) hi wonder if you can clear something up for me - when you quote prices fr the snacks , is it because you have to pay extra for them or is it to show what a good buy they are - we are going 2009 and I know these things may change by then but what a great thread you have here - thanks again

It's just to give you an idea about what kind of value you are getting for your credit. The theory is that the closer you get to the $4 pricepoint, the more bang for your buck. For example, if you had only one credit left but wanted two snacks. One was $1.99 and the other was $3.79. You would want to use the credit for the higher priced item and pay for the cheaper one out of your own pocket.

What would be some recomendations for some candies to bring back home as gifts? We are there Dec 6-12th...was thinking for Christmas time. Just thought, if they were more expensive, we would use the DP credits instead of out of pocket. ANy idea how long the rice krispie Mickey heads could last if unopened? TIA!

A CM told me yesterday that about a week ago, it was confirmed (to them) that the F&W tastes at the kiosks are going to be a snack credit on the DDP as they were in the past. Has anyone else heard this?

thanks for the info - best to get the snack with the highest value as you've said so we are getting our moneys worth.

I just saw a pic of the menu boards at CSR & can finally add this resort to the first page:cool1:

At Sunshine Seasons by Soarin', I got a nice big bowl of hot soup from the soup and salad stand. It was $3.99, and hearty enough for a light lunch.
