EEEKKKKK!!!! That was my 1,000th post! Ok, on here too much!

Congrats, we like having you around here!!!:cool1:

Okay, I just need to say I am proud of me. I spent four hours hanging around Jo-Ann's and didn't spend a penny!:cool1: A good friend of mine works at Jo-Anns for the Viking sewing machine people and I was keepig her compnay today. I saw paper on sale and walked away. Now I can't promise to be that good tomorrow, but I will try!:)

Thanks! Not so sure my DH thinks it is so great! Something about spending time with the family...:confused3

congrats ashley :thumbsup2 ......I just hit 800! I was at 700 the beginning of Jan been doing lots of:surfweb: too, but then I've been planning our WDW trip, so it was all for research right?:rotfl:

any ways, I did some repurposing today. since I am so caught up on my photos my big photo cropper has been empty and my ribbon box was overflowing and quiet messy. by using the dividers I could fit 6-8 rolls of my ribbons sorted my color into each section and on the back side that's flat, put all of my ribbons that are flat packed. I put my swap stuff in my ribbon box (large photo type box) so they won't get damaged.

Yay on repurposing!!!

Congrats aroyer on staying on your BAN!

Lisa, we are putting you in the center and circling around you so that you can't fall off anymore. We have a pretty bad driver 'cause you keep wobbling!!!

I am SOOO proud of myself! DH and I went to Joann's yesterday to get some organizational stuff. I purchased 3 plastic bead sorting boxes and three packets of cardboard floss bobbins. They were out of the Iris carts so I purchased a 10 pack of the plastic Craft Keeper envelopes to use to begin sorting my stickers/page elements in preparation of getting the cart.

While there, DH saw the new DCWV Pet stack and tried to convince me to get it. I resisted as I just didn't need it at the moment. I did buy a DCWV Neutral cardstock stack but I'm pretty sure I'm going to take it back as I just don't love the white core. My only other purchase while there was a pack of mats for my bug which I had a 50% coupon for. The whole trip was only $29 and change so I totally could have qualified for the Leap Day challenge.

Why must our DHs be such enablers? I'm sticking to my BAN but he's not being very supportive!

We could swap - my DH is SO not an enabler - even going in the one craft shop we have makes him feel nauseous :lmao:

If carts are half price and you were going to buy one anyway its not falling off to get 2 if you will use it - its an economy for later!

And buying stuff for card making is (I think) the same as buying stuff to make for presents - someone else will get the benefit of your work so its not indulgence! It is also a money-saver - hand-made cards here cost £3 or more (yes, $6 and up!) And you'll get loads more cards out of what you get than the purchase price:thumbsup2

I like white core - but I'm fine that Bazzil doesn't have it as I couldn't tear it anyway :lmao:

All feeling better? After falling off when getting my ribbon winders, I thought at least I won't need any more - 25 is plenty. Guess who ran our before she even got to sort her 2nd chance swap :blush: Luckily I passed a sewing shop on my way to the hairdressers (not many of those left!) and bought a pack of threadwinders for only 95p - a BIG pack :thumbsup2 So I'm sorted. AND I was good - a small shop was closing down, everything half price, and they had loads of stickers - Disney, Spongebob, Power Rangers, all sorts. I nearly got some, but they didn't say acid free so I thought I probably wouldn't ever use them and I left them. Besides, I'm waiting for some to come back in exchange for a pass it forward swap and they'll be much nicer I'm sure:goodvibes

Glad to hear that MOST of you are able to stay on the wagon. It really hasn't been very difficult for me to stay on board this month, for several reasons. First, we are saving for our WDW trip in April, so any extra $$ is going there... second, I decided to have a "non-scrapping" month for January, in an effort to get my disaster of a house under control, so I haven't really even been thinking much about scrapping. I did have a quick run into Big Lots and Joane's last week, but nothing caught my eye, so I was able to avoid temptation.

Keep going ladies..... your checkbook and credit cards will appreciate it!.....P

I really think the support of this group has helped me stay focused! Other than the one day at Walmart about a week and a half ago (only spent $9!) and part of that was the purchase of an album for my Disney trip, I haven't gotten off the wagon AT ALL! And I have managed to do 17 pages! Thanks girls for all the encouragement!

i know crazy huh?:confused3 mine says the same thing!

which i really can't wait for you to get the box, because we put something really good in there! it was ds idea, so if you don't like it, you can blame him!!!!! but i'm sure you'll love it! we do!

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH! I am SOOOOOOOO excited now:banana: :yay: :cheer2: BOX!!!!! I was only expecting an envelope with a couple of stickers in :faint: You are so kind!

Give your DS a big hug from me for having ideas - especially good ones:thumbsup2

How will I sleep waiting for the postman:confused3 (and he's not even young and goodlooking:lmao: )

So MIL and SIL were going to Michaels today to get some the Jetmax storage that is on sale 50% off. They invited me to go and guess what- I turned them down. :scared1: I have to admit to being a little depressed about not going though.

Aroyer, you really should have spent time with your SIL and MIL, ;) it really is the nice family thing to do, ;) has nothing to do with you would have been able to go to Michaels.:rolleyes1 :laughing:

I am so depressed and ready to jump off of the wagon and RUN! Yesterday, I went to Big Lots, but did the BAN wagon thing and walked out with nothing even though I was wanting to get a $4 8x8 snowflake scrapbook and a $5 pack of a wintery/Christmas-y paper. After thinking about the purchase and asking for advice from other wagoneers, I decided that it would be okay to spend the measly $9 so that I could do a project with the photos friends and family sent in Christmas cards. After church this morning DH took me to the Big Lots that I went to yesterday, only to find that someone bought every last one of the books (there had been at least 6 yesterday) and all of the paper too. DH was nice enough to take me to the next closest Big Lots, but no luck there either. I'm just so bummed. Last night,I almost started to make little Cricut cut-outs for the names of each of the families to go with the pictures, but decided to wait so that I could match the cardstock to the patterned paper pack. Guess it's a good thing I didn't waste my time.:sad2:

see i hate that when that happens. it happens to me ALL the time. i second guess it and when i go back....gone. ALWAYS! i just love my big lots. they are not to close, so when we go, i do it up big. mine is completely hit or miss. it's either a great trip or a dud. i was just not meant to be is how i usually look at it when that happens. you'll find something better, somewhere else.

I haven't bought anything all week!
I am so proud of myself!
I haven't even spent money on other stuff!!!

I have to work tomorrow, so no shopping tomorrow either!!

I bought some grungeboard and some stickles yesterday at my crop. Bad Bad me! But I plan to see if the grunge will cut on the cricut and I used the stickles right after I bought it!
Plus I got some pages done!!!!! I'm not sure how many though.

Thanks. I really am trying to look at it that way, but after I thought I was going to get it, and planned things out, it's frustrating.

I can't imagine that many people buying up all of them in less than 24 hours. I just picture one person buying all of it at once. They had some more books very much like the snowflake ones, only these had red, blue, and green stars with a place for a photo on the front and looked more like an all-star sports scrapbook. Those were all still there on the shelf.

I guess I'll just file all the Christmas pics again and hope something else comes along (soon, before I lose this idea). Maybe God knows that I have enough to handle right now and shouldn't get another project started until those are finished first.

Good for you for being strong!

Lisa - I understand that you are wobbly in your spot on the wagon but no fair enabling others!!! BAMB - I think she needs a trip to the naughty mat! ;)

I'm so sorry you missed out on the deal. Good for you for thinking it through. I'm sorry you're sad about it though. Don't leave the BAN wagon over it, though! We will support you! :hug:

Good job on using your purchase immediately. Much better than buying them because you think they are cute and having them sit in your drawer for months before using them. Been there, done that. :headache: Congrats on getting those pages done!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had a very good night at Bunco last week and won some money. I needed glue dots so DH suggested that we swing by one of our LSS while we were out running errands. I went in to get only the glue dots and he brought my attention to all of the fabulous new Disney papers they had gotten in and suggested that I use my winnings on that so I did! I had a 15% coupon so I only spent $27 and $9 of that was on glue dots which are on my allowed list. I won $30 after my buy-in so I stayed within the limit of my winnings AND I got some wonderful new papers - some of which I've already started layouts on. It was definitely a nice little treat and I've put the rest of the $$ away towards one of my allowed shopping days.
I also spent an additional $15 on a neat soft-sided storage case that has 4 plastic trays with multiple compartments. I used it to sort all of my brads and eyelets. It's already easier for me to see what I have just by having everything sorted by shape and/or color. One of the trays doesn't have dividers so I was able to put all of my flat packages of bling and eyelets in there so they are in one spot as well. I already love it!
