Actually they are doing a Palo brunch. Mandy posted about it a few pages ago. I think it was to be on the 2nd Castaway Cay Day. I'll go back and check for sure. Dinner rotations I have no idea on.

A friend of mine from the UK Community, who is sailing on the first Double-Dip this May, has just PM'd me to say that Palo brunch is being offered on the Wednesday (the 2nd Castaway Cay day). Personally I wish it was on Nassau day, but at least we know now - woohoo !! I can't wait

My girls missed the 1st three days of school last year when we were on the Wonder. They certainly didn't miss any school work, just social stuff like picking locker mates and such. Given the choice though I'm sure they would pick the cruise

My kids missed the first 3 days of school this september. sarah and austin didn't care they are still in middle school but nicole was not pleased with me . When she got back to school she had missed 2 tests 1 in science and 1 in french. What teacher gives a test the first week of school? Anyway i had to promise her she wouldn't miss any school this cruise.

Thanks for the information on Palo and the rotations. I need to find some time to read this entire thread and catch up.

I'm hoping the state decides to mandate the after Labor Day start date for 2008. I don't know why they have different starting dates in all nearby townships. It's nice when the kids are out of school a couple of weeks earlier than nearby areas and Maryland, but we never vacation in June so I'd prefer the later start date. Either way we'll be there.

Hey there -

That's MY guy!! I will be spending his birthday w/him... and about 20,000 others! LOL He is playing at the Wachovia Center in Philly on his bday this year - so, we are going - he is playing w/Daughtry - I can't wait... We saw JBJ back in October - LOVE him!! I've been following him - LITERALLY - since they first came out in the 80s - I used to l live around the corner from the original bassist, and my grandparents house was right around the block from Jon - we had a few 'encounters' back in the day... nothing fab!

We had the 'kick-off' for reading month today at school - so, because of the superbowl, and the 'kick-off' theme, we had to wear something football - so, mind you, we live in south jersey - BIG Eagles fans here, we are Dallas fans - so that is hard - but, I didn't have a Dallas jersey anyway - so... I got a Philadelphia Soul jersey - totally cool - has Bon Jovi across the back - good old number 3!!

Anyway, that's why I've been scarce today - been busy at school, just went out to dinner w/the family - was BAD again - I'll NEVER reach my cruise goal the way I am going!!

Morning Mandy,
We were supposed to get rain and ice this morning at 6 a.m. but still nothing yet. I hope it stays that way. i would rather snow than icy cold rain pellets. Michele

We've had rain rain rain all day - it STINKS! We went to dinner and were going to go to the mall or something, but I hate running w/umbrellas and getting wet! I have to get over to the "coach" store tomorrow to get my sis a gift card - her bday is this weekend too!!

Well she's back already from the surgery. Oy it's going to be long day. Poor thing is in a lot of pain. The road's are horrrifc according to my DH. Ice pellets are hitting the windows as we speak on top of a few inches of snow and ice. Not a good combo.

OK so we have Bahama Mama's, pina coladas, and strawberry daquiris......who needs Nassau?

So, are you thinking that day 2 and 3 are the repeats? We did the 4 day last year, I can't find ANYTHING from that trip! I have it someplace, NO clue where!! I managed to find the navigators from the 2005 cruise... that was the 7 day...........ahhhhhhhhhhhh. .LOVED It!!

Hey - want to hear something funny...

There was this family that we met last time on the cruise - we actually met them on the way over to the bus on the DCL transport - anyway, they were really nice, the wife/mother lady - was a bit ditzy - we talked a lot on the boat, they were first timers and asked for suggestions on what to do and all - I told them to check the personal navigator - has LOTS of info in it - anyway... we saw them the second night on the boat - and she said to me - THIS is the funny part - she says..
"I was waiting in my room for the personal navigator for an hour or so, and they never showed up" -

SHE THOUGHT IT WAS A PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, she said she asked someone in the hall about it - and found that it was on paper - DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

Anyway, last year (2006) - we went on the cruise labor day - our school didn't go in till the middle of September that year - they were doing renovations throughout the district, so, instead of working around the kids, they closed the school an extra two weeks.. it was AWESOME! We did the park for a few days and the cruise - no one around at all!

Hey we on the labor day cruise in 2006. On the Wonder we had a very large DIS group. We did pirate goodie bags for all the kids and saw each other all over the ship. We still chat online every few days or so. You couldn't have been on the same cruise were you 9/3-9/7????

I was very bad today as well laurie I had a baked potato (normally a good choice) Bue when i saw the rest of the family piling on the butter and sour cream i couldn't stop myself.. Then for dessert we had a choclate fudge cake. I feel the pounds on my butt already..

Lol...Me too. I actually had one on our last cruise. The beverage waiter came to the table and asked us if we wanted tap water or evian? I of course said evian. After dinner he brings a bill for the drinks and i actually ask him why is the evian water on the bill? Isn't water free? lol omg he just looked at me like i was nuts..lol I hate when your mouth speaks before your brain has time to catch up..

Michelle I'm sure you are getting ready for your party today Angelina is feeling much better this morning I picked her up a grande strawberry frappucino from starbucks after I dropped Sydney off at 1st Communion class this morning so that helped Haley and Sydney have a big girl scout event today so I won't be around this afternoon. Most parents will be dropping their dd's off and then having 3 free hours no not me I volunteered to stay and chaperone I'll bet you'll never guess who the cookie mom is either Just like school its
always the same people. Hopefully someday my little darlings will realize how lucky they were to have me yeah right

Oh yes i remember being the cookie mom and the girl scout leader for 3 years because no one else wanted the job. Sarah just had to be a brownie and there was no space available in any troops so they asked me to be a leader for a new troop. They said it would be for just 1 year(yah right, once u r in u never get out)It took me 3 years to escape..lol and does she appreciate mommy's sacrafice uh no i get you didn't have to do it.I was a walking zombie those days. I was working from 8 p.m. till 6:30 a.m. take everyone to school and sleep for 2 hours until it was time to pick up austin from kindergarten then a quick hour and a half till it was time for brownies. Yes i remember those days fondly...lol
