Brrrrrrrr is all i can say. It is 12 degrees here and i am freezing. When i drove home last night at midnight it was -3. I really hate winter i am trying to picture myself on castaway cay with a tropical drink in hand. Mandy i had a question for you since you have been on the wonder a few times. When you get to nassau and want to head over to atalantis should you take the boat or a taxi(mini van)? Last time we went to nassau we just did some shopping in the straw market and shops this time i want to check out atlantis. Thanks.

Good morning everyone...

This weekend was so busy and with my son off from school today it will probably be another crazy day.

Mandy- Enjoy that concert!

Suzanne - My DH and bil were very happy last night so I know your family must be thrilled with the Giants win. Me, I'm just waiting for baseball season (at least I know it will be warmer then) to root for the Mets (who hopefully won't disappoint like last years fiasco)

As far as the questions, I'm not sure how many times I have been to WDW, probably 15 or so. My favorite park as I mentioned is Epcot. Favorite ride is a tough one, I like Rockin' Roller Coaster but lately most of my rides center around my 5 year old (like riding Its a Small World 5 times in a row).

Favorite things on the cruise, relaxing by the pool on the ship and beach at Castaway. I love sailing away and standing on deck letting all the stress slip away. Now with 2 kids, I love Founders and the clubs and having a quiet meal.

Well, I'm off to Curves (just joined and determined to be healthier for the new year). Hope everyone has a great day!

I have to tell you - HUGE Mets fans here - we've been to spring training in FL a few times, wanted to do it this year, but planning got away from me, so, we'll go again next year! Anyway, again - we lived up North, so GO METS - right, then we moved to South jersey - and it's Go Phillies- NOT in this house!! I have my Mets flag outside swaying in the breeze during baseball season - surprised my house hasn't gotten egged - but, for them to lose to the Phillies - was HORRIBLE - my kids couldn't even wear their Mets windbreakers to school - they were horrified! LOL

This year HAS to be better!!!!! I think they should bring Bobby V. back!

Another Mets fan! We wanted to go to spring training this year but we will be in FL a week before it starts (darn the timing of those school vacations).

When we were on the Magic in Nov. I was watching all the football fans watching their games on the big screen by the Goofy pool and I thought...there is a place where I would love to watch the Mets (we are going in Aug. during baseball season!)

I can imaging how tough it is to be a Mets fan in your area, especially last year. My husband consults for a Philadelphia company and he dreaded their calls last Sept. Lets hope for a happier 2008!

Sorry I can't help you Michele. A couple of times we have got off at Nassau and just wandered around the shops, but we hated all the guys pestering you for taxis, having your hair braided etc. Then one time we just got off the ship to take photos and the last few times we have just stayed onboard and enjoyed that Bahamian sunshine

Veonica that is so cute that your son likes small world so much. When we took my son for the first time (he was 4 ) on small world he stood up after the second room of dolls and pronounced "no not again no more" he did this through the entire ride. My husband videotaped the moment and thought it was hysterical. I wanted to dieof embarassment everyone on the boat was not pleased with us. Austin and my husband still like to look at the footage before we leave for disney each time.It is funny now but not in that moment when the whole boat is looking at you to shut your kid up...lol..

Yes we were very excited about the game yesterday. It sure was exciting. I just couldn't believe how cold it was. I felt a little sorry for Brett Favre he's such a classy guy and it would have been nice for hime to win too. (wouldn't say that to hubby though ) Boy those guys sure could have used a bahama mama and a lounger on castaway cay

Ok now I have another confession to make and please don't hold it against me but we are (gulp) Yankees fans. sorry but always have been and watching johnny damon, a-rod and Derrick Jeter is just icing on the Yankees cake.

Thinking of booking a day room for jeff and the kids while i hit the casino for a little while...I'm so bad... But I can't be that close to a casino and not gamble..lol.. I haven't been to mohegan sun in 2 months i think i am going through withdrawl. It is our anniversay february third and i am trying to convince jeff to go to the casino for the weekend but he doesn't like to gamble as much as i do . He is afraid i will never leave the slot machines..lol

We have gone to the race track a couple of times but jeff prefers the car racetrack to horses..lol.. in the summer we have a deal i drag him to the racetrack for a couple of hours and he gets to torture me at the dragstrip for a few. I thinkhegets off much easier when it is my turn we are at a lovely landscaped park watching horses race and u can win money. When it is his turn we are sitting on dirty bleachers in a smoky track with cars screaming past you(woohoo my kind of fun). The kids much prefer the horsetrack to the car track except for austin he likes both. Well i need to get some housework done before he gets home from work and sees the mess. check in later.

This time, I am going to make it a 'day at sea' - and pretend we're not docked. Figure it would be so crowded onboard - and being we are at CC twice, we need a day to hang on the boat...

Are any of you guys DVC members??

I wasn't a huge fan on nassau - when we went in 06 - we went on some historical bus tour - it was no fun, and the street vendors like Mandy said - not too crazy about them either. This time, I am going to make it a 'day at sea' - and pretend we're not docked. Figure it would be so crowded onboard - and being we are at CC twice, we need a day to hang on the boat...

I hated the vendors at nassau. One lady asked austin if he wanted a wooden flute. He said no and then she shoves it at him in his hand and tells my husband it's 4 dollars. Austin tells him i didn't want it and jeff tells him to give it back to her. The lady won't take it back and tells him again 4 dollars so my husband shoves it at her and walks away. She still yells after us 4 dollar 4 dollar.That happened at the end of the day as we were heading back to the ship. What a nice final memory of nassau. So this time we are trying atlantis and bypassing the seedier side of bahamas.

No Laurie, we're not. Where do you like to stay with your DVC points ? I assume you are using them to stop at Vero Beach before you Cruise

Don't get me wrong i like real professional car racing on a track. But jeff drags us to a dragstrip place here on the island with average people racing there race cars. Once we went to a professional showing in nj that was cool but not the dragstrip places he usually makes us sit though.

Yes - we are using it for Vero - we HOPE - I have to call DVC tomorrow to make the reservations, being we own at SSR - we have to wait for 7 months out to book, so, I will be booking day, by day, by day! We are hoping to stay there from Weds to Sat., check out on Sat and stay a hotel close to the ship - anyone have suggestions?? I have to find a place - my cousin stayed at a place that offered free parking while you were onboard, a free shuttle to and from the ship, and free breakfast... I have to find the name and make the reservation.

Mandy - w/all your trips you should join DVC - it's not a great value for the cruises, but great for WDW - and now they are making one of the resorts at Disneyland a DVC, and one to come soon in Hawaii! WOO HOO!!

Usually when we stay at WDW - we stay at SSR or OKW.

I would love to sail to hawaii! We were going to go there with friends a couple of years ago with there timeshare but when we heard it would take more than 12 hours to get there. No thanks i can barely stand 6 to get to arizona i would go nuts on a plane that long.
