DH, Steve, backed out of going to the ToT race. He said that going then and in January was a little too much Disney for him. Can you believe that?

Lynnda - I am happy to hear Billy is going to be at MNSSHP on Friday the 26th! Zachary will be excited that there will be another WISH kiddo around.

Not sure if John & I will dress in costumes either. We usually just wear Halloween shirts. The last time we went we wore Disney Halloween shirts we had gotten from zazzle. Might just wear them again.

It is official, dd16 and I are registered.

We will probably book at Pop, I need to see if I can get a good AAA rate. We have only stayed at Pop, ASMu, and PORFQ. Since it may only be one night, I am not sure it matters. Any thoughts on where it is best to stay? Does it really matter?

Also, will there be transportation to the expo on Sat from all resorts? We don't plan on renting a car.

Here is some rate info from Disney:

Specially priced hotel rooms are available for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ 13K & 6.5K participants and their friends and family. You are invited to stay "where dreams come true" by booking a room at the WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort. The following rooms are currently available:

Disney's Boardwalk Resort - $359 a night
Disney's Carribbean Beach Resort - $112 a night
Disney's Pop Century Resort - $79 a night

I am sure they will offer busses to WWS.

Leana, and my mom Donna, both doing the 13K. Staying at Coronado Springs for now, unless we get a good AP rate elsewhere down the road.

Can you update me whenever you get the chance? My dad Raimo is in for the 13K as well - his first event ever! Not staying at the Coronado anymore. It will either be Caribbean Beach, or another mod if I can get an AP rate elsewhere.

I changed my location for where I am staying. Our first night we will be at ASMo, and our last 2 nights at OKW, I am hoping my waitlist comes through for the first night as I don't really want to move so we will see.

I thought I'd already updated here, but apparently I haven't. Unfortunately, DH and I will not be able to do the TOT event this year. We will be going to a family wedding in VA that day. I knew my neice was getting married, but we only recently found out that the date is Oct 27. I am soooo disappointed! There is just no way we can be here in FL and at the wedding on the same day, and we really do not want to miss this wedding.

I'm hoping that maybe we will at least be able to meet up with some of you early arrivals, of those staying the week after the TOT event.

Nancy - sorry you won't be making it to TOT this year. Hopefully they will have one next year and the year after that and.... But I definately understand the wanting to be at your neices wedding - that is the right choice.

Thanks, Kim, but I doubt we will still be here then. We will be leaving here either Wed or Thurs at the latest. Possibly even sooner if we decide to book a timeshare week and spend the weekend before the wedding in Busch Gardens, VA. I figure if we are going that far, we might as well have some fun in addition to the wedding.

My Brother (21) and I (25) are runnin the 13k and my mom is walking the 6.5. The rest of the family is just going to attend the party. Does anyone know if there will be a limit to the number of tickets they sell for the party??

OK. Looks like I am a go (unless life and/or work interrupt). Here is my latest. I am registered for the 6.5K and will be staying at Pop Century (as of now). Because of anticipated and already know activities of the kids, will fly in Saturday landing about 6 (hope no delays and I can get to the start line) and will leave late Monday.

nepatsfan73-- Don't you have to pick the race packet the day before the race? I'm just questioning this as I hate for you to be all prepared to do this and then find out you are unable to race because you don't have the race packet which would have your bib number and chip
