2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

10 weeks is a good number but lets close our eyes and take the 1 or zero out of the number and lets pack our bags.

OK - just quit your job, volunteer at your local hospital and come and go as you please :rotfl2: :rotfl2: tell Robert you've had enough :rolleyes1 :headache:

Oh, you forgot one other thing. I need to move to Florida.

Don't know how I would swing that! :cloud9:

Happy Sunday everyone. Wow, 10 weeks, already? Guess I better put my luggage away from my last trip today so I can plan on getting it out again!

Now if I could only get my passports :rolleyes1[/quote]

I hope you have already went down and filed for passports. If you have not done this yet then you could be in trouble.Im sure you have gone thru the motions and any day they will arrive. My first passport was in 1978 when at the age of 16 I went to Italy for 16 days.I got everyone a passport if they need one or not.

We were pleasantly surprised Friday when we received our passports in the mail. We applied for the passports on June 27th and did not choose the "expedite" option!

yep - it will go by fast especially since I have two cruises in the interim.

I'll find out who our captain will be when I leave on the 22nd and let everyone know that.

I'll also try and find out who the cruise director will be.

I hope they have some good incentives for buying into DVC. I just might buy into AK.

Hey, Linda. If I do and go to Hong Kong, want to go again???? Can you imagine that?? Me, you and Karen and Brenda would have a great time. :cool2:

Did you go to Hong Kong on Disney's dime? I know that was an incentive once for puchasing more points. How cool was it?

Hello all,

I will be joining you all on the member cruise. This will be our first member cruise, but both my DW and myself have been on three other cruises. We will be joined by my DD3 and DD7mths. We can't wait.

WELCOME Bob74!!!

Mary PD your way for your bosses son, it must be really hard losing someone so young. I don't know if I could deal with something like that.

Hope everybody had a nice weekend, I'm letting the boys stay wake to catch the metor shower. One more hour till we hopefully see something.

Did anyone happen to catch the meteor shower last night? Clouds moved in and ruined my view here from northern nj. Will try again tonight to see.

Bob74 - we took our daughter on her 1st Disney cruise when she was 8 months. Bring powdered formula or single serve liquid cans as they don't give you a fridge - just a cooling box - which really doesn't keep the liquid formula cold enough. However, our stateroom hostess that year (Kitty - still remember her!) would bring us ice all throughout the day so that we could keep bottles on ice. She was really helpful. Actually, the whole staff was attentive to my daughter's needs - really great!

Have a great day everyone!
Jaime

Welcome aboard Bob!

If you haven't done so already check out the first post on the thread which gives you directions to our group website. We'd love to add you and your family in.

Welcome! We are also on our first member cruise, but we are seasoned cruisers also. No kids your age though (mine are 18 & 21).

See you onboard!

I'll go to Hong Kong again!

And yes, the incentive in 2005 on the DVC member cruise was if you added on 250 points you got 7 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, and 8 days of free admission to the park. Plus you got certificates every day for each person in your party for food or free gifts. It was great!

If I have my calendar figured out right, Captain Henry will still be out on vacation when we are on in October unless he has made an adjustment to his schedule. He got off on the day we got off, April 7th. So if he is still rotating, that means he is on vacation. DARN!

Yes, find out who will be our cruise director. I can't remember what Brent told me on the Magic. I think Clayton (aka Hollywood) is still acting as assistant cruise director.

We tried to watch the metor shower but we didn't see much. I think I might have seen one at most two. My DS and I were outside from about 2:45-3:30, however my DS did say he saw some when we got up this morning around 5 am, but then went back to sleep.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Welcome Bob from Carmel NY. I used to live in Montrose. Went to HS in Mohegan lake.

Hi Bob!!

Welcome!

My dh and I will be traveling with our son, who is turning 3 on October 17. We're trying very hard to get him potty trained in time so he can go into the Oceaneer's Club. Not having much success yet. :confused3 Wish us luck!!!

That seems like a long time.We only waited about 6 weeks so maybe you should check on if they are backed up with passports.I think if they dont come you can get paperwork that you have appllied. They are cutting it close but im thinking positive with you.
