We did apply for them - 19 weeks ago.

DH has been waiting 19 weeks as well (and counting)

It's amazing the difference-- I applied for mine in December 2006 and had my passport within 5 weeks. We're crossing our fingers that his comes soon. We'll send good thoughts for you, too!

10/27 - Animal Kingdom Lodge (we are going to be staying there so we can do the The Wanyama Safari )

Good morning everyone! We hope to get in early enough on Friday to spend part of the late afternoon/early evening at food & wine. I'll have to check out who is playing then. We saw Paul Revere and the Raiders a couple of years ago and really enjoyed them.

goodness, have no idea what we will end up doing.

Linda and I canceled the Radisson and we will be at OKW now so she will be able to hand out the mini navigators that she is working on for everyone. That way we don't have to drive over to the Port that evening. It was no big deal to change the plans. Probably Epcot will be the place to end up after our meeting. Illuminations are always wonderful to see. We'll just do whatever comes to mind after we get there.

Have to get ready for my 304 hours work at the hospital today. It is nice working with the home health nurses and see the "behind the scenes" talk. Since I had a home health nurse myself for a couple of years, I relate to them very well. Strange how things turn out in some situations.

Has anyone ever done MNSSHP before the cruise? Amanda & I are arriving on the 17th and thought about doing MNSSHP on the 18th, as it may not be as crowded then. What do you guys think?

I have heard it is less crowded the earlier in October you go.

We are going on the 26th, but that is because we don't get in until the 19th.

The 18th would be a great choice because it is a Thursday night. Those tend to not be as crazy as the Friday and Saturday night parties that also bring in a lot of locals.

Either way MNSSHP is a lot of fun.

We are going on the 25th to MNSSHP. Then F/W on Friday and the ToT race Saturday, then heading home. It's going to be quite an event filled vacation. I may need to take a vacation to get some rest from the vacation

And good news for me, after 19 weeks exactly and a call to my congressman. I will have 3 out of 4 passports today, the 4th should be here tomorrow.

Just one week shy of 5 months!!!

My question is: why did it take a phone call to your congressman to do this. Outrageous. Glad you took the initiative and made the call.


I am waiting on my renewal, but not worried about it. I made a cc and then I have my b/cert. and DL for I.D.

Can't believe it has been 10 years since I got this one.

To be honest I have no idea. I called last week Wednesday - the 8th - to find out the deal with our passports since we had exceeded the 18 week mark. Went through all the locator numbers and they get to my stepsons and she asked me if I had received a letter. I said no (which I still have yet to receive) and basically they needed to know how his mother got her current last name because it is different than on his birth certificate.

Got her to give me her marriage license, sent it overnight on Friday - the 10th, they got it Monday because heaven forbid they work on Saturday when they are backlogged.

I called my congressmans office Monday (yesterday) after I seen it had been received. Gave her all the information, told her we were 1 day shy of 19 weeks and we seem to be getting no where.

She called me back today to let me know 3 out of the 4 would be here today and that my stepsons - the one with the problem - would be here tomorrow.

I just find it funny that they can get that document and in less than 48 hours I can have his passport. Add to that, when I looked at the passports I received today it said they were issued August 6th - 2 days before I had called to see what was going on, yet it took my congressman to get them sent out to me

But no more stress as I have the passports, unless there happens to be an error with my stepson's, which sorry to say at this point wouldn't surprise me.

We are going to MNSSHP on the 26th also.We are planning on going to the food and wine after the Cruise meet on the 20th.I would have rather listened to the outlaws then the Village people or juice newton.
