2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Good morning everyone - happy Wednesday!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Just an FYI, in case you didn't read on the codes board. AP rates are out from 9/30 - 12/23.

I don't want to sound stupid, but what does that mean?

I think Cobbler is talking about Annual Passport rates for rooms and such???

like when florida resident rates are posted

Isn't that correct. I saw that while browsing recently also.

Has anyone seen the new re: back support being paid by those who have applied for passports recently?

The State Dept. has denied many passports from many non-custodial parents who owe more than $2,500 in back support. Doesn't matter if the support is one year or decades old. Once the non-custodial parents makes good on payment, they can apply for the passport once again.

Just in 2007 so far, over 22.5 million has been collected and forwarded to the parent that has been waiting for payment.

Unemployment insurance and state and federal income tax refunds can also be seized in addition to lotteries won.

I think this is wonderful.

Did anyone else visit the cruise website this am. They changed the poll and put the information about the group photo on the front page. I was so excited because i thought they were giving us details but they just made those 2 changes. Have a great Wednesday.

Good morning everyone. As you can see Amanda & I share this sign in. It can get a little confusing. I can't wait for our vacation. We are 2 months away from the Big Cheese. Hope everyone has a great day. I'm off today so that it will be errand day for me.

Holy cow!! The countdown clock on the site shows 66 days!! Wow, that is sneaking up so fast!!!! :bounce:

I know I can hardly believe it myself. I am so excited. It's been a rough summer for us (Amanda's breast cancer scare and then losing her job) and I just can't wait to get away and do nothing or everything - our choice. We are arriving to WDW a few days earlier than the cruise, so our countdown is even shorter :goodvibes :goodvibes

I was driving into work this morning when they were talking about it on the radio. they said one guy had to pay $314,000 in order to get his passport and another person $64,000 and another one $30,000. The ex-wife said on the $30,000 it would have been nice to had it paid years ago when she was on welfare and the kids barely got food on the table.

At least we will know on our Disney Cruises when passports are required for all that there are no deadbeat dads or deadbeat moms on board with us! (I am sure it goes both ways with moms/dads)

On the DVC member page, when you log into your account, it gives you the option to set up a countdown generator for a Disney trip.

One of the choices is SS Member cruise 2007. It brings up the countdown (64 days by the way) and a picture of the Wonder with the SS Member Cruise life preserver in front of it. Cute graphic.

as I posted on the other passport thread, I guess I won't be getting any back due 'cause my first ex was so stupid, he doesn't know he can travel.

good thing I grew up fast and wasn't with him very long. Got a wonderful son out of it, tho.

FYI -According the Cruise Critic, you can bring alcohol on board for consumption in your stateroom. So now I won't feel guilty about bringing my Malibu rum

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday!

You can definately bring alcohol onboard! We don't drink, but on our last two big cruises (the 2004 10 day and last years double scoop cruise) one of the DISers had wine bottled with a special label for our cruise. He brought on 37 bottles on one of the cruises! Another popular wine for that group was Banfi Rose Regale especially for the dessert buffet!

Good morning all,

Did a little cruise shopping. Went to the Disney outlet and bought two pirate T-Shirts. Now were are ready for Pirate night. Whith this only being a 4 night I don't think I will need to do much shoppping this year.

Have a great Thursday!!!!!
