Ahhh, I don't miss those days at all!!!cgcw said:Ahhh, panic on our roads tonight. Everyone is out from work early -- and no one can get anywhere. Almost every one of my parents were late -- one even sent her SIL to pick up the child. It's not that the roads are that bad, it's just that everyone is in a panic.
Of course, that's easy for me to say.....I have 0 commute time.![]()

The snow will start at 5:20 pm... except it sleeted and iced here yesterday in TX so we are FREEZING our little patoties off now and my driveway is iced over. Not so great when all they have is SAND to throw on it.

We did walk by a store selling baseball hats. That's all they had in there, nicely arranged on racks. The sales guy - a young guy - saw us coming and smiled. I asked him if he minded if we stopped in to check out some hats. He gave me a look of panic, I smiled back at him and said "I'm just kidding" and he let out a sigh of relief and said "I hoped so". It was cute. I couldn't imagine the "fun" the kids would have in there -- trying on all the different hats. At least the salesperson would have had something to keep him busy the rest of the day.![]()

cgcw said:Hey, all of you chocolate lovers out there. Here's a unbelieveable story for you.
Walker just had a dessert. A bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream -- only kind in our house that Gary bought when he was shopping. When Walker was finished, he handed me his bowl. What's inside? Every piece of chocolate chip. Somehow Walker managed to eat all of the ice cream and not any of the chips. Walker told me, "you know, I'm not not a chocolate fan".
Not wanting good chocolate to go to waste, Cameron promptly scooped it up on the spoon and willingly stuffed it into his mouth.![]()

Ah, a true story of brother helping brother!![]()
So, how about a GTKYFKK (That would be G(et) T(o) K(now) Y(our) F(ellow) K(razy) K(ruiser) question.......
What is your favorite kind of ice cream????
Mine would be anything with caramel. I'm not really an ice cream eater but if there is any caramel in there, I could devour the entire thing. We once bought some that was a caramel swirl with pieces of toffee in it. I have no idea what the name of it was but it was awesome.![]()
cgcw said:We survived our Santa visit. It was actually really neat. The youngest 1 year old (14 months) was the bravest of the 1 year olds. Didn't cry a tear....in fact, he was all smiles. The middle youngest one (almost 18 months) stiffened up her legs and wouldn't walk towards Santa. I had one of the 5 year olds hold her for the picture, she fought him most of the time. The oldest (23 months) hide behind the presents they have decorating the area. I picked him up so that Walker could hold him. This little guy just kept giving Santa the "evil eye".
The lady who takes the pictures remembered us from past visits -- how many other people travel in a large group of kids to see the Easter Bunny and Santa. This year, they added a toy train ride next to Santa. $1.50 per child. But, being we were repeat customers, she "arranged" it for the kids to have a free ride. A very nice gesture on her part. The kids loved it.
But their cheapest form of entertainment was throwing $.10 each into the fountain. Even the little kids loved the idea and kept coming back for more.
They have added new play areas for the shopper kids so we hit that afterwards. Another highlight.
And, of course, McDonald's. That was my threat for today....if your not good, I'm going to make you a PB&J sandwich at home and not buy you McDonald's today. Needless to say, they all cooperated.![]()

No snow yet but it is comming. They are guessing around 8 in here. They say it could snow more than an inch an hour. That is alot of snow. I really hope there is a snow day for the girls tomorrow. We all need a day off.

And I did get my booking for the next DVC cruise with my friend, Karen. Now that's a story in itself!![]()
The Merry Member Mixer was cancelled today because of the weather but I was lucky enough to go last week and saw a few of the last member cruisers there. There is a release of quite a bit of DVC merchandise coming out which they displayed at the Mixer and is showing up at the resorts.
I will be out of the loop for a while as I hit the road north to drop off sis and her dh in Delaware and then back to the reality of Michigan.![]()
