My goodness, we need a digest version of this thread. There's not enough minutes in the day to keep up with it. I need 525,600 minutes (can you tell we just came back from seeing Rent? :teeth:

I know what you mean some times.
I'l come home from work and some days will have double digits worth of pages to read.
Where in NY are you? I'm in Clifton Park, 15 miles north of Albany.

I layed down and watched Lost again with DH because I have to explain to him every single thing in the show since he decided not to watch most of the first season.....now I'm wide awake again!

If you need any help ask me to get Todd for you. He is currently watching season 1 on dvd and has watched the first 10 episodes.

I know too soon!

For those staying @ WDW before/after cruise what is the best method to get to Port Canaveral and back?

Looking for the Veteran Member Cruisers for this answer! ;)

Last year we took the DCL transfers b/c for us both kids were under 3 and they were free, so much more cost effective. Depending on how many people are in your party a town car may be the way to go, plus you'll get to the port early.....these guys don't save any shrimp at the buffets for the latecomers!! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

The bus got us there around 1:30, still plenty of time to eat and explore the ship and of course, chat with my friends from here!

These boards are worse then drugs.
I thought I was going to bed too yet here I am. Ok I'm just going to read the last few posts and head to bed. It's almost tomorrow here!

I have three 512 mb cards and at the highest setting can get about 520 - 540 pictures. If that ain't enough, it means I'm not spending enough time in the water. I'll probably bring my laptop anyway, so I can offload the pictures if I need to.
We have a 7 megapixel camera and by the middle of day 2 (Key West), we realized that our 1GB stick was already full, because it was set on the highest setting. What a mess!! We had to have Shutters make a CD of all of our pictures for us, so that we could have more pictures for the rest of the cruise. So, we learned that we don't need it on the highest setting ALL the time and that Chris takes a LOT of pictures and we need to make sure that we have more memory.

we're finally home. took us almost 2 hours to make the 30 minute trip. multiple accidents along the way, we almost slipped off the road multiple times. and some moron sped by us, skidding and did doughnuts in front of us before going backwards down a huge embankment.

so....is there a chart of who got in? i gave you time to get it done!

p.s. NARNIA IS AWESOME. See it!

Hi everybody,

I'll be sailing this time in 7629 by myself. Casey can't miss a week of school and her dad is taking her on a Royal Caribbean cruise sometime next year on their new boat. She's a little bummeed about it but she's more upset about missing MNSSHP. My friends who were thinking about it never got back to me so I called them and they said they'd tell me tomorrow. If they want to go I'll get on the waitlist.

Welcome to the new cruisers, I was a new cruiser last time. I was a little nervous about where everything was on the ship, how dining worked, different activities, etc. I shouldn't have been because the people in this thread were so helpful with their advice. One thing I learned and put to practice was at dinner (or any meal) you can order as many of any item as you can eat. On pirate night they had these great drumstick appetizers and I ordered three of them. I didn't order soup or salad but had them instead. Also, if you don't want dessert order "nothing", you'll be surprised at what you get.

Of course I'll be filming as much as I can. I plan on finally watching the videos of the last cruise this week, then I can record the DVD, make copies and send them out.

We've booked our second Members cruise- about time I got into this. We were on 2005 Member cruise by our selves, this time we take our three teens. DS16, DD14, & DD13. My first time on the boards, thought I'd get to know people.

Welcome aboard! If you were on SSMC05 than you may know some of us already! We are the wacky people who had matching shirts the first day, wore buttons with our names on them throughout the cruise and came to dinner in our own crowns and tiaras before DVC passed them out. :rotfl:

It was a great group and I'm thrilled that so many from that cruise are sailing again. Of course we're being joined by so many new wonderful people like yourselves.

If you haven't found it already there is a web site for the group. Link is in the very first post on this thread.

You may want to have your teen's register as well as there is a teen thread going now too.

Bottom line we hope you post often so we can get to know you and your family and you can get to know us!

Just thought I'd intro myself as I've not posted here before. My name is Ilene and I live south of Boston with my DH of 25 yrs and 2 adult children. Also two terrific schnoodles pups. We are "seasoned" disneyites and I have been a member of Disneydollarless since near it's inception. I've been on these boards awhile too but not very active. I'm am thrilled to be able to join the rest of you on this new member cruise. I had so wanted to do it this year but it was DD first week at college and I knew I needed to be nearby if she needed me, and it turned out she did so I'm glad I didn't chance it. But I'm not missing this one!http://www.disboards.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=10767407#

IleneF - welcome aboard. I won't repeat everything I said to Mickey's Five but the feeling is the same.

I see you have been a member of the DIS since 1999 - that's great. This can be a chatty group so your post count may just get bigger!

We hope you stick around and get to know us!

We were on the Wonder back in 2000.
I Can't wait to get acquainted with everyone else who are going too.
We just got back from SSR last week for Thanksgiving.

oh and to Kerlynne when we were on the Wonder in 2000 we had room 2116 and it was awesome. Great location I might add.

Welcome aboard Debi! Got your info up in the photo gallery already. Hope you enjoy this crazy group.

Same advice as the others. Your older boys may want to get their own log in names as there is a teen's thread as well!
