Laura - DVC is working very hard to get the points chart ready. As has been stated a number of times last time it was only out about two weeks before. Have a little patience. It will be up soon.

I talked with DVC this afternoon regarding our Hong Kong Disneyland trip. They (DVC Cast Members) are still waiting for it to get posted to their computers, so they are still playing the waiting game also.

She thought it would (hopefully) be sometime this week.

I cant beleive no point charts yet!!!

Has anyone given thought to where your staying before/after the cruise??

I am leaning towards BCV... 1 bedroom before the cruise, 2 bedroom after, to save on points and to prepare us for the size of the ships cabins lol. I want to do Party for the Senses at F&W, and still debating if we want to do that the night before the cruise or the Saturday after... Sunday being travel day home... tough call, ya know.

We were thinking of doing The night before and thru sunday after the cruise at SSR. My son asked if we could stay there sometime so we were debating on it as of right now.

If we get through to MS on December 3 we are planning to stay at BCV before and after the cruise. Just not sure of the number of days yet. I guess it depends upon the number of points per person for the cruise. Annmarie

I am planning on BC ( AP or FL res. rate) or BCV depending upon how many points I use.

We haven't finalized where we "hope" to be staying and which nights will be on points yet, however, the Yacht Club is where the wedding is the Saturday night after the cruise so we'll def be staying BC/YC on Friday and Sat night.

We are in the process of trying to figure out what type of room we want on the ship this cruise.

Guess we'll all be staying at BWV or BCV then so we can crash the wedding easier!! :rotfl:

No seriously, the Yacht Club Gazebo is a beautiful location.....not as nice as Sunset Pointe, but I'm biased! ;) Where's the reception?

I almost forgot we had to "crash" Julie's wedding. Guess I'll be staying at my home resort of BWV! Wouldn't want to miss all the fun ya know!

It is open bar right!? :rotfl2: :drinking1

this is a question for those of you who've been on previous member cruises. we are a family of five so we're inviting dh's parents to come with us since we need to have two cabins anyway. can i make reservations for them since they are not dvc members? what is the cancellation policy if for some reason they have to back out? though they are healthy now who knows how that can change in a year.

i don't have enough points so i plan to charge it on disney visa. does it make it easier to cancel?

Are you sure it was a good idea to let this group know where you will be staying??? :rotfl:

You can make their ressies for them, indeed you have to. In the past, Cash worked better than points as far as cancellation policy. I thonk with cash you had a thirty day time frame before the cruise, but I don't really remember... MarkRG? Do you remember? I do know that you must be a member to make the ressies, and cash/points both work.

:jumping2:

Just something to keep in mind for those paying with cash. It has to be paid in full on the day of booking. Bookings are not like a regular cruise where you put a deposit down and the pay by a certain date.

Also for those waiting for the points chart know now that the points will be higher than the last Member Cruise (due to a different season) and higher than a regular 4 day cruise in the same time period. That may not make some people happy but it is the way it is.

Some people look upon it as DVC trying to rip us off, but those of us who have sailed on previous member cruises know that the experience we get is worth those extra points.

No Mary!! Don't tell them that!! No, it's not worth the extra cost. You don't want to cruise on the member cruise!!

That means that I would have a better chance.

:thewave: Looks like there will be a bunch of us at BCV's after the cruise. :thewave:

I really really wanted to do F&W this year, so for sure we are hitting it next year!

IF I get through on Dec 3 --I am going alone on the Cruise. (I think I will have to pay double points.)

Has anyone who has been previously seen anyone going alone?

I posted these questions on the DVC thread and it got moved to the planning board (no responces).

I responded to your post on the DVC board as well.

It is 150% charge, points or cash, for sailing alone. I almost did that this last cruise but was able to convince my brother that my niece should go with me (my dad helped a lot too). It was only about $300 more in a Cat 11 and I added her in March or April. I had to pay adult price for her.

I can't remember seeing anyone alone but I really wasn't looking for that. With so many DISers onboard you really aren't alone at all. If you attend one of Mark and Mary's meets you meet a lot of folks from this thread. I made a lot of other friends at dinner and waiting on line to board the ship(Kay's shirts and Mark's buttons helped with that). There is so much to do that you won't notice you're alone.

Please Note that on 11/15/2005 Member services no longer has this information and it is only a guide to my best guess. It will not be official until posted on their website, and will probably change. I was originally given this info on 11/8/2005 by several CM's at Member services, and pointed out at least one error in the chart. It was implied in my post that it will have at least one change.

Copper3, There will be a single person charge, not quite as much as a person..

OOOOOOhhh, I called Member services... to ask your question. They have the point info...

Well if that is the points I will not be able to go . They are alot this time. I am probably going to go and spend a week at Saratoga next summer. I hope everyone is well

Michele

Wow I guessed pretty good. I was trying to think what the cat 7 points would be and I guessed 180. :)

That would use up pretty much all of our 2006 points so we'll have to decide if we want to do the cruise on all points and pay cash for our rooms before/after or do half points/half cash and use points for our rooms. Decisions, decisions.

Ok, if those are the points, then my estimates were REALLY close. The points above are just a couple points more than I guessed. I know that the points are more than this year, but that has to be expected since we're sailing in Oct and not Sept.
