Glad you had a great trip, Mary & Mark. :cheer2:

How strange to run into someone you know in Hawaii. When we went, that same thing happened to us. My brother ran into a friend from school and my parents ran into our former next door neighbors. It truly is a small world when it comes down to it.

Long day around here. We were up bright and early to get Walker to his followup visit with the ear doctor. Our normal 5 minute appointment ended up taking well over an hour by the time we were finished. The good news is Walker doesn't have an ear infection at the moment. The not so good news is that not only is his hearing deminished on the left side but the doctor recommended they surgically close the perforation that's been there for a couple of years. So, it looks like Walker has yet another surgery on the horizon.

We ended up missing the tour of the surgical center for his April surgery so I'll have to see if we can reschedule that between now and then.

The three of us went out to breakfast at Omega in Niles -- the same restaurant that we went to last year with Mark, Mary, Tina & her girls and Curt & Karen. Weird to sit there and think about that breakfast which seems to be so long ago, yet it hasn't even been a year.

As soon as we got home, Cameron had some friends come over to work on merit badge stuff and I took Walker to play laser tag with a friend. Back home and I was forced to make a trip to Archivers to pick up some paper to work on Cameron's Boy Scout album. ;)

The best news of the day is that I have 6 pages completed and now I'm on a roll. With any luck, I'll be finished this weekend. :dance3: We have Blue & Gold for Cub Scouts tomorrow but other than that, no other plans for the rest of the day so there is a great chance that it might actually be done. I've played with my Cricut today and my crop-a-dile, all thanks to my 7 year olds help. Amazing how good Walker can be with his hands in figuring things out and teaching his old Mom how use these things.

For the Disney Crocs the fit for the Small is snug but the Med's were too big so I opted for the smaller ones.

I am a little concerned about the sizing but opted for the smaller size. I got them at Dicks with 10% off promo and free shipping and then a $10 google checkout discount  So they only cost $21 but the best news was they had the color I wanted in my size YAY! Well I think it's my size, I got a 8-9 because that's what my other crocs are. I suspected they may be less wide but I hope they aren't too short at the toe. Should be here this week, I got the red crocs with the black strap....I'm a very happy camper :yay:

OK--I'm catching up this morning here!

Cindy--that's awesome that you got so much done! I'm so excited that we got you into scrapbooking! And I think it's awesome that you get Walker to help you out. That will make your books even more special b/c you spent family time putting them together!

Ilene--my Disney crocs are smaller than my regular Beach crocs and I had ordered the same size. They fit, but my toes hit the front of the shoe. They are starting to stretch out more now, and I'm better able to wear socks with them. They are slightly smaller, not so small that they don't fit me at all, just a little tighter.

Welcome back Mark and Mary!

Welcome back Mark & Mary!
Sounds like you had a great trip, and to run into someone you know! It really is a small world after all!

Cindy - Sound like you have had an extremely productive day so far. I too am going thru Nick's Cub Scout scrapbook to see if there is anything I might have missed and may want to do pages for. I also need to get pictures printed to start his Boy Scout book.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this to you but after Cameron receives a merit badge and you get a portion of his blue card back DON'T LOOSE IT!!!
If for some crazy reason if your council doesn't regognize Cameron earned a particular badge you have that portion as proof that he did. That could be important if he goes on to Eagle Scout because they check everything!!!!
One person suggested getting some baseball card pages since the blue card should fit right in. Depending on the type of scrapbook you are using you may be able to get the baseball card pages in your book. Or another option is maybe doing some pages and just putting a bunch of pockets on the pages to hold his blue cards. Just a thought.

Big News!!!!
Nick gets braces tomorrow!!!!:scared1:
He gets to spend 2 hours at the orthodontist in the morning , then off to school and right after school he is competeing in the Tri-Building Spelling Bee!
(3 jr high's in technically one building that is kind of the shape of a Y, hence why they call it tri-building)

Good Luck to Nick on the Spelling Bee and the braces too!

Oh I hope Nick's braces go well and that he does fabulous at the spelling BEE!!!

Congrats to Nick on the spelling bee and good luck on the braces!!!

Thanks for the reminder, Stacy. I did know to make sure and keep them in a safe place. I'm thinking of making copies and adding them to the Court of Honor pages in Cameron's scrapbook. Someday I'll get around to doing Cub Scouts for him. I'm going to start on a Cub Scout book for Walker so I can keep on top of it.

Best of luck with the braces, Nick! :goodvibes: Did they suggest a dose of Motrin in the morniing to help with any pain Nick might have in the process of getting them on??

And good luck in the Spelling Bee! pixiedust:

Cindy - We will be giving him some pain reliever meds before we bring him to the orthodontist. I also bought him some yogurt since he will be missing lunch at school due to his appt so he will be having the yogurt before we drop him off at school and I told him he will be having a big breakfast.
We'll be doing eggs, hashbrowns, and turkey bacon to fill that tummy in the morning.
And it looks like soup or pasta will be our dinner tomorrow or anything else soft to give his mouth a break tomorrow.

Thanks all for the good lucks for his spelling bee. I showed Nick all your posts and he got a big smile on his face!:)

Yes, having a son that is an Eagle I will verify they DO check everything. The baseball card pages are a great idea. I use them to keep business cards and credit cards in as well!

I had an incredibly productive but well balanced weekend! Lots of need to do stuff along with fun to do stuff...I love it when that happens. Paid bills, did laundry (big surprise), food shopped, got in exercise time, mailed things that needed to be mailed, organized computer files (scrappin stuff mostly), spent some of my credit at ACMoore (white box furniture for scrapbook stuff), cardboard cutouts, clear stamps and a mini (8x8) paper trimmer, went to a bead store and was able to fix a bracelet that needed repair and make a new one too, ordered a GPS online (a cheap Garmin with a good review) and ordered and picked up a new scale from Sears (WW brand). I'm now down 24lbs.:thumbsup2 Have April and May Disney trips planned, plus passover coming up. :worried: So just a very accomplished weekend putting me in a good mood for the upcoming week. Plus we had 57 degrees with SUN here on Saturday which always has a way of making me feel good! Hope everyone else had a good weekend...it was pretty quiet here.

Good morning everyone!

Nick - good luck on the braces and the spelling bee!

Welcome back Mary and Mark! Sounds like you had a awesome time!:cool1:

Good luck to Nick on the spelling bee and braces.pixiedust:

Huggs to Walker . I hope his ear problems calm down soon.pixiedust:

We went to Castaway Bay yesterday at CP. Had a great time. The pool area isn't any bigger than GW. I hope to try Kalihari soon. We know it's huge. So, we want a long weekend to go there! I'll let you know how we liked it.
Spring break is comming soon.:beach: :beach: Not fast enough .But soon.:cool1:

Hi all. I'm back. Haven't been around in a while as we have been really busy with gym, working and school.

Julie and Karen I just found your pm's today. Thanks for thinking of me. The girls are great and gym is going well. Lots of first place medals this year. I can't believe how much better they both are this year. This weekend was a meet at our gym and the parent club sponsors it as a fundraiser. It was so much work but it was fun. Jessica placed 8th and Brooke was 13th out of 158 girls. They both had an amazing meet.

Nothing else new here. No trips to Disney planned in the future. I don't think I can catch up with all the posts.

Good luck to Nick on the braces and spelling.

Mark and Mary sounds like you had an amazing trip. :beach:

We just bought a Wii and it is so much fun. Off to play Zelda.

My sister did gymnastics when we were in school and she had a ton of ribbons and medals! Guess your going to have to get crafty to display all those awards!!

Well Nick's braces are on!!
After his appointment he had some yogurt and we dropped him off at school and will be heading over after school for the Spelling Bee. Guess we will see how well he does. I'll post a pic of Nick later.

Well Nick did not win the spelling bee.
There were 8 kids in the bee. One kid was knocked out in the first round. Nick, along with 4 other kids were knocked out in the second round and 2 more in the third round to get the winner.
Needless to say it was a quick spelling bee. It took about 10 minutes.
Oh well there is always next year.

Sorry Nick didn't win the bee, hope he likes his braces.

Congrats to brooke and Jessica.

Love the before and after pictures of Nick! How long will he have the braces for? sorry to hear he didn't win the spelling bee.

Congrats to Brooke and Jessica!
