The braces look great Nick :thumbsup2 Sorry about not winning the Spelling Bee.

Sorry about the spelling bee, Nick!!! But a bit of consolation, your new braces look great, and just think what'll be like when they finally come off.:thumbsup2

The girls are great and gym is going well. Lots of first place medals this year. I can't believe how much better they both are this year. This weekend was a meet at our gym and the parent club sponsors it as a fundraiser. It was so much work but it was fun. Jessica placed 8th and Brooke was 13th out of 158 girls. They both had an amazing meet.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Way to go, Brooke & Jessica!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

Here's the New Nick!!

What a great idea!!! I never would have thought of taking a before and after picture (now I will though). Nick, your going to be so happy when they come off and your teeth are straight.

How are you feeling today??

Well Nick did not win the spelling bee.
There were 8 kids in the bee. One kid was knocked out in the first round. Nick, along with 4 other kids were knocked out in the second round and 2 more in the third round to get the winner.
Needless to say it was a quick spelling bee. It took about 10 minutes.
Oh well there is always next year.

Hey, the way you have to look at it is Nick beat out how many other kids in the school to even get selected for the spelling bee???

Way to go, Nick!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Good morning everyone!!! I'm not sure if I even mentioned it, but today is Madison's first day of school. She's been doing SO well with potty training, that we've enrolled her 2 mornings a week, so she starts today. She's just SO excited to go to school today and to be big like Emily.

And, I'm quite sure that the next time that I turn around, they're going to be in High School!!!:confused3

When my older 3 had their braces, the day they got them off, the Ortho took a picture of them and added it in a picture folder that already had their "before" picture and gave that to them. Wow, what a huge difference and I didn't think their teeth were really that bad before the braces. It was neat to see the before and after.

:cheer2: YEA for Madison :cheer2: Have fun at your first day of school!

I clearly remember thinking that the time for Dawn, David and Diane to go to Kindergarten was never going to come - now they are almost finished with college! It goes by really fast! Now that they are in their last years of college they will mention it feels like it was just yesterday that they walked into the Jr. High School. I guess they are starting to have the feelings of "Life flying by" . Hmmmmm does that mean they are getting older and if so does that mean I'm getting old too :confused3 Nah, it can't be :lmao:

Madison have a great first day of school. That is so exciting.

Nick looks great in braces. How is he feeling? I think he did a great job at the spelling bee. That was one short competition. What kind of words did they start with?

We are going to have a heat wave this weekend. Up to 46. I guess that sounds good because it is only 9 outside now. I really need to move to FL. :beach:

You didn't miss the part about the snow we're suppose to get tonight and into tomorrow morning did you? They say 2-4" - so that means we will get nothing at all or we'll get 8" of snow ;)

I saw the heat wave temps on the news last night - hopefully it's the beginning of warmer weather :thumbsup2

I am a little concerned about the sizing but opted for the smaller size. I got them at Dicks with 10% off promo and free shipping and then a $10 google checkout discount  So they only cost $21 but the best news was they had the color I wanted in my size YAY! Well I think it's my size, I got a 8-9 because that's what my other crocs are. I suspected they may be less wide but I hope they aren't too short at the toe. Should be here this week, I got the red crocs with the black strap....I'm a very happy camper :yay:

I bought the Blue ones with the green strap. I wear the kids 3, adults 5, and they are slightly snug with socks on me. Yesterday was the first day that I wore them, so I am hoping they will loosen up some soon. I also used the google checkout with Dicks, and got them for 13.99! I was so excited! Enjoy them, they are adorable!

Hi all. I'm back. Haven't been around in a while as we have been really busy with gym, working and school.

Julie and Karen I just found your pm's today. Thanks for thinking of me. The girls are great and gym is going well. Lots of first place medals this year. I can't believe how much better they both are this year. This weekend was a meet at our gym and the parent club sponsors it as a fundraiser. It was so much work but it was fun. Nothing else new here. No trips to Disney planned in the future. I don't think I can catch up with all the posts.

Good luck to Nick on the braces and spelling.

Mark and Mary sounds like you had an amazing trip. :beach:

We just bought a Wii and it is so much fun. Off to play Zelda.

Congrats, Brooke, and Jessica! And a wii, My girls would probably fall in love with it...They havent played yet, but once they play a game, they want it! Have fun with it!

Nick, Sorry to hear about the Spelling bee! But congrats on the braces! The before and after pics were a great idea...I know the ortho we work with at work, takes before pics, and then pics after they come off. Krystina will get her braces in the fall or early 2008. She had an expnader on, to open her bite, and it worked very fast! Had it on less than 6 months.

Congrats Madison! And good luck Amy, I know how it feels to send your baby to school for the first time! You are excited for them, yet sad to see them go! They grow up so fast! I can remember when the girls where just starting school, now they are 4th and 2nd grade. Pretty soon, we will picking a college, and wondering how mom is going to be able to afford it!:rotfl2:

Gary & I love the Wii (okay, the kids do too :upsidedow ) but we enjoy bowling and competing against each other. We have a lot of fun and enjoy watching the kids do the tournaments. I haven't advanced enough to manage to get my bowling ball to jump over those hurdles yet. :confused3

Cameron had the expander and front top 4 teeth in braces back a couple of years ago. The orthodontist called that "phase 1". We're almost ready for "phase 2" and have an appointment in a couple of weeks. Along with Cameron getting the full mouth done, Walker is at the beginning of "stage 1" so he'll be getting the expander at the same time.

Can you say "cha-ching"!!! :crazy2: One of the nice things about our orthodontis is they give you an option of paying up front with no discount or financing with them at NO interest. It helps to be able to spread the payments out and as long as they aren't charging us anything to do that, it's a very easy decisioin to make. :thumbsup2

Congrats to Madison! Have a great day at school!:cool1: :cool1:
