I'll make you a deal. You ride with me to Chicago--the pound of coffee and any other coffee I receive is yours! :lmao:

Seriously, no one else on this thread is a BzzAgent?? I learned about it here on the DIS Budget Board. I got a Sonicare toothbrush to try in the mail today. I looked online at the price $89.99. :faint:
I've seen it posted on the Budget Board, but I never really understood it. So, enlighten us!!!

Chris, just let us know along the way what you need and when.

As for tickets, we've never been to Cedar Point. Is the park do-able in one day?

Mike and the kids usually head out of here first thing in the morning and get to Cedar Point when it opens (10:00--but that may just be the time of year they usually go) They are usually leaving the park between 6 and 7pm and they have done everything they wanted to do---which means all big coasters. They usually don't do any of the *other* rides like the carousel or the bumper cars or things like that. Only the EXTREME rides.

They do tend to go up on Sundays which is usually a slow day, but I think for this group it's going to have to be on the Saturday and we'll just have to accept it's going to be a little busier. Just makes more sense with the travelling and all.

I love my sonic care. My dentist does too. I have metal all over my mouth. I switched to the sonic care a few years ago and my dentist said "I don't know what you changed, but keep it up, I haven't seen your gums healthier!"

I've gotten lazy though....I only use it in the morning. Two full minutes of brushing at night sometimes is more than I can handle! :lmao:

Great job, Walker!!! Amazing what the little guys can do if we just let them be creative! :)

Scared me to let KT use the Creative Memories cutters too. Then I got into scrapbooking and she started cutting her own stuff b/c I was too busy to cut hers! She did just fine. I was nervous for nuthin'!

I am a Buzz agent too. I am waiting for my toothbrush. Can't wait to get it. I didn't get the free coffee.

Great job Walker. Do you want to come and start my scrapbooks with me. I need all the help I can get.

Walker & I just finished up his PTA Sponsored project. This years theme was "My Favorite Place" and our goal was to do this based on the cruise and Walker's pictures. Most of his pictures from the cruise didn't turn out so well, so we still went with that theme, just a little different angle to it. We took all the pictures Walker took by himself and then he sorted through and decided which ones he wanted to use. The size requirement was predetermined as well as the exclusion of any copy written material or characters (no tick-toc from the Club. much to Walker's disappointment). Per the rules, Walker did most of the work himself. Here's how it turned out:

Tell us how to sign up to be a BzzAgent. I have had a sonicare toothbrush for about 6 yrs - LOVE IT! It makes for quick cleanings at the dentist too!

It's based on the concept of word of mouth advertising. As an agent, you fill out surveys and questionnaires to establish your demographic profile. Then you get invited to participate in either BzzBlasts or BzzCampaigns. With each you get a product sent to you to try and keep. Sometimes it's software, sometimes a book, sometimes a toothbrush. I've been doing this for a year. I've done Oxyride Batteries, Fantastic OxyPower, a book, contact lenses, scrubbin bubbles shower cleaner, a Home Cafe coffee pot, Nivea men's shaving line. Right now I'm doing Pledge Dusters, Egg Creations, Windex Dry Cloths, Storyville Coffee and Sonicare. You get the product to try and usually a stack of coupons. It's all totally free and you don't have to return the product. What you have to do is tell people about the product, the goods and the bads. Then for the Blasts, you fill out a survey at the end. For the Campaigns you write up a little blurb describing each "Bzz" you make for each product. For each survey or Bzz you get points. So on top of trying these products for free, getting coupons, you get to redeem your points for stuff. And it's cool stuff like gift cards to Target and Itunes. There's ipods and other electronic stuff too. In a year I've gotten close to 1500 points and I can get a bunch of different stuff. I don't know what I'm holding out for yet.

Oh, and when you get invited to participate in a Blast or Campaign you can choose to not do it. I've turned down a lot of books and software things. Like we don't drink coffee so I could have chosen not to do it. But I'm not one to turn down free stuff, and I'm still Bzzing the coffee. I'm just not drinking it.

I got mine today, so you should get yours very soon. I've never used anything like that because--and this is dumb--we don't have an outlet in our downstairs bathroom. The people who built the house were morons apparently. The lightswitch is even on the outside of the room. :confused3 So where am I going to plug this sucker in? We do have 2 other bathrooms, but this is the bathroom that I brush my teeth in.

I've looked through the Bzz FAQ's. So now, using your coffee example...would you now go back to your Bzz account and say "i told my friends about your coffee?" Or how exactly do the reports work?

This is interesting! :)

You only need to plug it in to charge it. Once it's fully charged it runs off it's battery for a week or two (depending on how many times a day you use it)

It does take some getting used to.....the vibrating lip thing really freaked me out at first. But now I can't imagine NOT using my sonic care! I don't take it on vacation with me...cuz I don't want to haul the charger....and I can really notice a difference.

I've got a lot of pages to catch up on but a few comments:

Cedar Point sounds like a great idea! Tom and I would be very interested, especially since I need to take a minimum of five weeks vacation next year. I'm responding to some questions but let me know if you need anything else. We would stay at least for the weekend. According to MapQuest it is 11 hours and 48 minutes or 725.78 miles. Tom said this will be like doing a round trip MA to Philly and back!

1)We need to vote on the date(s) first. Either weekend works for us 2nd weekend in July or end of month.
2)Then where do you want to stay and length of stay next. I just looked at the CedarPoint website and Lighthouse Point (cottages/cabins) looks very nice.
3) How many need to buy tickets and what kind of ticket(s)? We would need tickets - umm I guess 1 or 2-day park tickets.

Cheryl - Glad to hear you finally have a date for surgery. Hope all goes well.

Amy - I sent you an email about the CJ. Count me in please. Also, I plan to mail the CDs to you by the end of the week.

Glad everyone had a great time at the DIS meet. Thanks for posting pictures.

Robin - Congratulations to you, David and Ian! You must be so excited. What great news!!

What's a BzzAgent? I've never heard of that before.

Cindy and Walker - what an awesome job! I love the pictures!!

Diana - Tom loves the picture of the girls looking at the porthole window. He thinks it would make a great DCL postcard.

Erin - so sorry to hear about the robbery. Many years ago, we were robbed and I remember how violated I felt. I hope the police catch the person!

I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but tried to capture as much as possible here.

Annmarie

One more Circle Journal thing - if any of you live close together, please let me know.

I'm 9 pages back but if you haven't heard yet, Annmarie and I live close by.
Ummmm that would be annmarie and tom, LOL!

You're gonna have to do better than that! :worship: Quick before she comes up with some lame-o excuse!

Okay - let's try this:

Hey, Stacy? Know that bit of video that Curt told you he had found? What's it worth to you to keep that underwraps? Maybe a trip to Chicago in early December? If not, I'm sure that DCL would love to use it in their next promotional DVD... :rolleyes1

Regarding Cedar Point: I don't like the really high coasters, so I'll be hangin' with the chickens on those. Curt, however, will ride anything.

I went with my dd a few years ago. We stayed at Holiday Inn express because we made ressies at the main onsite hotel and got creeped out. it was like ToT in real life. Long halls , lights, wooden doors....OLD and creepy. The park is fantastic for coaster fans like us. I think there are like
15 coasters now..really good ones. I rode Millenium Force twice. The first time I was scared sh-tless, LOL. The second time I wasn't scared but still had to close my eyes at the top..that thing is amazing that it doesn't tip over. It so high it has a plane beacon at the top! I think it is a very doable in one day park. I think I remember some pretty decent shows, not quite up to disney but pretty good, but I may be mixing it up with Busch Gardens.
There is also a wonderful island nearby we did a day tour of name slips my mind right now but we had a fun time oh wait Put in Bay I think it's called.
I'd so be up for this in combo with my LLL conference in Chicago but the conference is July 20-23rd so the meet will happen too early for us I think. Put us in for a big maybe. What is the closest airport? Anyone coming from Chicago we could hitch a ride with after the meet? It would be me and dd or just me alone.

Jeff, so glad to have you back on the boards!!!!

Hey Walker! That's an awesome project! Maybe if you come to Michigan to help Ann Marie with her scrapbooks, you could swing by on your way home to help me with mine. After all, your buddy Curt will be here! :stitch:

Its one of the greatest things I've ever used...I got mine last year at the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter meeting for free when they were just introducing them to the market. I love it!!! My only wish is that they offer better toothpaste to fill them. I would like one of the Crest flavored pastes, but all they offer is the gel or the whitening one. BTW...I took it on vacation for 2 weeks with no charger and it worked fine the whole trip and a few days after. It packs up really good in the travel case!!! I recommend it to most of our patients with gum problems...and most come back after using it and have less problems.
