I think that since the Cubbies didn't make the playoffs this year (we'll get em next year) that I'm either rooting for the Tigers or the Mets!

I feel ya Julie...But we are always die hard fans here in Chicago...the Cubs will do it some year...it just may not be in my lifetime... :rotfl2:

BTW even though Mark isn't planning on wearing a tie we might just pack a shirt and tie to be safe. Don't want to go through what we did last year. Not that I think that will happen again, but better safe than sorry.

Curt...thats awesome...where did you get it from?

Amy, if you really don't mind I would love to have two cans. I can't find any here in MI by us and I really like using it. We could pick it up from you at BCV the day before sailing so you don't have to take it to the port. Let me know if that would be easier. I never even thought about not being about to take it on the plane. Thank you so much. I can send you pay-pal or just pay for it when we get there.
No problem - what SPF to do you want? I think that I saw 15 and 30, and maybe 50 for kids. You can pay me later.

Good Morning everyone....Wow 27 pages to catch up on...Its the first time I'm able to log on since Monday night and the storms that rolled through the Chicago area...My house faired fine, we had a little bit of water come up over the foundation, and the basement floor was wet...but otherwise everything was ok...But Tims house was not so lucky...Hes in one of the areas that had a micro burst, and a reported touchdown of a tornado not too far away...his garage is at street level and took on at least 3" of water...the basement took on water over the foundation...Power lines were down on both ends of his street which made it impassable...Trees were down everywhere...one of his trees split and is hanging over the neighbors house...Lots of clean up...power and cable were out until early this mnorning...cable is still out, but atleast there is power...We carried out so many garbage cans full of wet things, but now the basement is emptied, and all we have left is the garage...So I'm off back to his house till work at 11am...I will try to catch up a little there. Hope everyone else is ok with the storms...

Tina, I hope the cleanup goes well. Best Wishes, Chris

Same question for you, what SPF?

I'm sorry I can't help, my first time dining at Palo was last year at the dinner with Jim Lewis. I don't recall if we tipped or not.

We've only dined at Palo as a couple, and we usually tip around $20 extra, above the $10/person, so our total bill is around $40 for 2, not including alcohol.

WE GOT OUR DOCS TODAY!

CONGRATS TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE HIT MILESTONES,

I've been so busy trying to organize our Women's Association Fall Festival that I haven't even tried to keep up on the boards! Thank goodness the festival is on the 14th, so everything will be over and done with. Tomorrow night is our annual membershiip meeting, so I'll be sure to get some volunteers lined up for the crafts and games booths!

Bye for now!

Still no Docs here...soon I hope!

We'll do the same for Chris. I'll bring him a tie, but I doubt he'll wear it unless he really has to.

Ladies and gentlemen we are coming up on a major milestone! Good luck in going for it. I promise Bear will be good and won't be trying for it. :)

It's the book-it-program so he will also have a personal pizza when it's over.

At the end of the year, they do a reading program where the kids earn a ticket to Six Flags Great America. I wish it was Disney ;) .

Thanks for all the good wishes & congrats for Walker ---- he came home last night and moaned and groaned that he couldn't read a couple more books. :teeth:

My girls have the same things...the pizza hut coupon is given out each month, but its only valid for a month, so dont forget to use it.

We have all of the Magic Tree House books as they were once Cameron's favorites as well.

Books in the lab or club? I don't know. I do know they have playstation or computer games that mezmerized Cameron & Nick. The boys were glued to those screens. :)

Stacy, have you given any thoughts to Nick's boundaries this cruise?

For others who have kids in the 10-12 age group, have you decided to give them checkout priviledges in the lab? Last year, Cameron had the capability of checking himself out but had to go to the cabin if he did. The lab would beep us with a message saying that Cameron had left the lab and headed to the room. One or the other of us would then meet Cameron back in the cabin and decide from there what the next move was going to be.

Cindy, how did the checking himself out work with Cameron? Krystina is 10, she just turned 10, and I dont know if I feel comfortable with her being able to check out and roam...I guess if I set some rules it might work...we will see

That was my guess!! Did you read my mind?

I'll go on the technicality and guess Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The old nice sweet Gene Wilder version as opposed to the creepy Johnny Depp version. :lmao:

Diana...I thought the same thing when I watched Charlie and the chocolate factory...it was creepy...I immediately thought it would scare the kids, but it didnt
