I was in the basement cleaning up from painting my new back door when the doorbell rang - I was so excited, I kept tripping up the stairs to see who was at the door. And by the time I got to the door, I was laughing so hard, I thought I might scare the UPS guy off but he was sweet and just chuckled when I told him I've been waiting for him to show up.

Amy - we have a 50" DLP Samsung - really nice tv and the price has dropped at least $1000 since we got it. My ds has a 42" DLP Toshiba - and really likes it. Sam's Club has some good deals on LCDs and Plasmas - good luck with your tv hunt.

Ok, I'll put it out there. If anyone wants any aerosol sunscreen and they don't want to worry about whether or not they can fly with it, send me a PM and I'll bring it to the ship. I bought 2 cans for my family at Target the other day and I think that I was around $6.29/can (I'd have to find my receipt, but not exactly cheap if the airline tosses it).
That's so sweet of you to offer! I'll let ya know if I need some.:goodvibes

Amy, if you really don't mind I would love to have two cans. I can't find any here in MI by us and I really like using it. We could pick it up from you at BCV the day before sailing so you don't have to take it to the port. Let me know if that would be easier. I never even thought about not being about to take it on the plane. Thank you so much. I can send you pay-pal or just pay for it when we get there.

I did't want to to be the only one making you go out. But, if you are going, I'd like 2 please.Let me know about the money. Thanks so much!!!!!

Tina, I'm glad that no one was hurt but it sounds like a big mess. We had big storms go through here last night and this morning. No damage here.

That is great news about Spirit having Coke products now!

Karen and Curt I'm sure the Tigers will come back and win tonight.

The doorbell just rang and I was so excited until I saw that it was the Fed-EX man. I'm not stalking him. :rotfl2: It was a package for Tom's dad that he had sent here because they are off camping for one month.

Last year I really worried about what to wear to dinner too. When we went to dinner the first night I realized that it just didn't matter. Some people had on shorts and some dresses. I don't think Tom will be bringing a tie. I think for pirate night I will just wear jeans and a t-shirt that I still have to make. The girls wanted to dress like Elizabeth for pirate night and I finally found them a dress. I hope it gets here on time. They are also wearing it to MNNSHP so it really worked out.

Just got my Docs here up in MA! :cool1:

They are so much smaller than the last time I cruised.

How exciting!

edited to add...did anyone find out anything firm yet on the tips being included?? I remember they said they were but still can't find anything in writing. :confused3

Cindy called Member Services yesterday and was told that they are indeed included.

Tina - sorry to hear about the mess at Tim's house. Hopefully nothing important was ruined.

Todd - feel better soon!

Let me try one more time. Is there anyone out there who has dined at Palo? :stir: How many people did you have? :confused3 How much did you tip?

I agree with Diana.

Dressing for dinner was one of the big things I stressed about last year. Being our first cruise, I didn't want to make a mistake and not dress appropriately. As it turned out, I hardly noticed what anyone else was wearing and I never felt out of place. I wore capris, my DH & kids wore the khakis (Dockers).

You will be surprised as to how many people chose to not dress up at all for dinner. And, on the opposite end, there are several who seem to enjoy dressing up as well.

Just a side note you might find interesting. My kids' school has a uniform code of dress. All kids wear khakis (short or long) and golf shirts in specified colors. Girls also have guidelines for skirts, skorts, etc. It makes getting ready for school very easy. Shopping for school clothes is easy too, find a sale and stock up. Now I can just grab some of their school clothes for dinners.

This DH was just notified that I will be wearing a tie to Tritons. So I'm packing the ugliest tie I can find. There is another challenge, if we have to wear a choker then lets make em pay. Just a thought.

Hmm depending on the night Matt may be wearing a tie as well - but being the casual people we are we might need some reminders on tie tying :)

Mary - I wonder if an FAQ can be added to yours and Mark's wonderful web site with some of the questions we've seen asked here, such as:

1) Tips being included

2) Formal nights

3) Dress code for the cruise

That's all I can think of for now. Ya'all can feel free to add to the list.

I think we could arrange that!

I agree with Cindy and Diana - I stressed a ton last year and had way to many clothes because of it. I like to dress up and Matt seems to oblige me on the ship/vacation (since he wears jeans and raggedy t's all the time) which is nice!

Since we're having a cold rainy day here I thought I would come home and if anything had been delivered I could bring it in. Sadly no docs or print here yet. Oh well maybe later today or tomorrow. Congrats to all those who have already gotten them.
