I just traveled with an aerosol can in my checked luggage. You won't be able to bring them in carry on. The airlines (at least Spirit) are now allowing 3 oz or less travel size bottles of shampoos and things. Ladies, you can't have mascara in your carry ons either.

For the aerosol cans I remove the cap so that something doesn't get pushed down on the top and spray all the contents out.

FWIW when I fly Spirit I haven't had a problem with aerosol cans. The last two times I flew NorthWest my aerosol can was missing when I got to my destination :confused3 It's only a can of bathroom spray so I'm not sure what the fascination is
Thanks! I'm flying Spirit ,so I guess I'm ok. Northwest told me no because of fire hazard!:confused3

Aerosol cans are under pressure and some airlines are a little picky when it comes to preasurized items. For example, SCUBA tanks MUST be depressurized with the valves open in order to be checked. I understand those are apples and oranges, more like raisins and watermelons but some airlines react differently. Check with them before getting to the terminal.

I have flown the last couple of years with the (blue) Coppertone aerosol cans in my checked luggage and haven't had a problem.

I suppose it depends on who is scanning it.
I think that's what it comes down to!

Ok, I need some help guys!

We're going to have to buy a new TV soon (ours is about to die). It takes about 15-20 minutes for it to warm up and the picture to show up and the color is all over the place. It's about 8 yrs old, so we figured that it's time for a new one.

Anyway, we're going to splurge and get an HDTV, but we're really not sure between LCD and Plasma and want some advice. Does anyone have any of these new fangled TVs?? Any advice?? We're seeing TONS of names that we've never heard of, so we just don't know. I've looked on cnet.com, but I'm still SO confused.

We're looking at between a 38-42", I think. We have a very large, built-in, entertainment unit in our family room (which is a 18'x30' room), so it needs to be a decent size.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,Curt. I got alot of different answers from the airlines!:confused3
Northwest/northworst said NO to the cans! So if you are flying NW don't pack them!:guilty:

Maybe I need to buy a case of Coppertone aerosol sunscreen and just sell it to my DIS friends at the port. :thumbsup2 Then you guys wouldn't have to worry about flying down with it.

That's one idea!;) I wish that all of the airlines would come up with a list agreed on! Then it wouldn't be such a mess!

On the subject of dressing for dinner. Mark did dockers and polo shirts for the last Member Cruise (except for pirate night). This year we are doing t-shirts for pirates night but he'll most likely be in polo shirts or a tropical shirt for the other nights.

I'm with Mark. No ties for me this cruise. We're packing as light as we can so that we leave room for all the goodies we'll be bringing back.

Chris and his friend,Tim, were talking at work about the cruise and before & after and Tim laughed because Chris has NO idea of all of our plans. To the point that Chris doesn't even know where we're staying before & after. He says that he just knows that I'll tell him where to go and what to do, and that it'll be fun.

I can't believe that it's less than 3 weeks away!!!

That's John! He says to just tell him when and where he needs to be.

Ok, I'll put it out there. If anyone wants any aerosol sunscreen and they don't want to worry about whether or not they can fly with it, send me a PM and I'll bring it to the ship. I bought 2 cans for my family at Target the other day and I think that I was around $6.29/can (I'd have to find my receipt, but not exactly cheap if the airline tosses it).

Some things from Master Replicas that I thought may be of interest:

1) They're having a contest to win some of their Disney merchandise: http://masterreplicas.com/Disney/index.php

2) They also just released a Little Mermaid collectable: http://masterreplicas.com/customer/showcase/showcase_product_detail.php

You can also see their other Disney items from that second link. These are not illegal productions, they have permissions from Disney to create these. I have a friend who collects their light sabres, and those are some amazing work.

Oh and last tidbit, my wisdom teeth are out, and I'm starting to feel less numb which means... let the pain ensue!!!

I just bought a 50" Toshiba DLP in June and love it. Especially enjoying it with the playoffs. From what I understand, LCD/DLP is more cost effective for lasrge screen (50" and up) and plasma is preferred for the range you're looking at. Consumers loves the Panasonic 42". I would definitely check out Consumer Reports. Do some research first and then find a store with a good selection so that you can compare. I was originally going to buy the SONY LCD, until I went to a 6th Ave Electronics and saw the Toshiba next to it. The screen wa so much brighter, I immediately changed my mind.

Well that explains why they were missing when I flew NW. John told me I just forgot to pack it. I'll have to remember that if I ever have to book a flight with NW again.

Oh by the way - Spirit switched to Coke products Sept 1 in case anyone cares!
