I was at the Disney store outlet a few weeks ago, and bought some shirts for 2.99 for the girls and myself, shorts for the girls for 6.99, frames for 2.99...great deals all around...I will be in the area of the outlet mall tomorrow, and I think I may stop again and see what they have this time.ConleyFam said:OK, so we made the trip to the Disney Store last night. The boys of the family each got new baseball caps ($4.99 each!). I found some really cute picture frames for $5.99 too. We were VERY disappointed with their adult t-shirt lack of collection. Not very much to choose from at all. I guess I'll just have to look for my new shirts in Flordida!
We also got a set of luggage that was on sale at JC Penney. It is a 5 piece set - 3 pieces with wheels. We figured we would spend the money for each of the boys to have their own suitcase instead of trying to ship items ahead of time. I hope this work and I hope the boys don't whine about have to take care of their own luggage!

I'm sure most teachers would want the day after halloween to be a holiday so they wouldnt have to deal with itIleneF said:Ahhh yes, I know the study. HOWEVER ask ANY teacher about the day after halloween and that study is overruled!
fireplug said:Yes they do sell bottled water HOWEVER due to the way the ship makes drinking water out of salt water it really is good tasting. We have not found a need to schlep a case of water on board. I am sure they would let you bring it on board if you feel you need to.

Kids and eating....I work for WIC (women, infants and children)...you wouldn't believe what I see that passes for breakfast. No really most mothers TRY to provide a decent meal but it's the definition of "decent" that is so different from family to family and culture to culture.
In my house I was always the "bad" guy. When my kids were little..no sugar, no preservatives, no artificial flavors...my house was "clean" so to speak. So DH "saved" them with candy and such when I was away. Around 12 or so my DD said to me.."Mom, you really must have loved us because you didn't give us all the junk and make us fat, Dad did"YIKES what was I supposed to say to that!!!
Anyway fast forward and my house gradually became less "clean" and more relaxed. As soon as school birthday parties became a part of my kids routines I was less able to control what went in their mouths. As young adults I have one child with a gourmet palate that loves everything and lots of it, not so much candy though but pies(and is very heavy, ds 23yo) and one that is vegetarian, fights her genes constantly and throws half her dessert away or shares it, she loves candy though (dd 20yo, who you'll meet at WDW perhaps when she joins us after the cruise). HOWEVER BOTH my kids know how to read a label.
Whew, that was a LONG story with really no point!![]()

gometros said:Thanks for reminding me, I meant to ask this yesterday. I know this was discussed much earlier in the thread. How do we use the Rewards card on the cruise? If we want to use some of our rewards dollars for the cruise, do we transfer the rewards at cruise end or do we give them the card when we embark?
socks68 said:My sister is a big water drinker so we always end up buying the water package. A 24 pack of Evain for $30 that is delivered to your stateroom. I tend to buy the cooler bag and 6 bottles of water that is available onboard on port days for excursions. I think I paid around $15 and then I have the cooler bag as a souvenier(sp). I'm a bag-a-holic.

We have 52 cabins accounted for right now (I think I have one or two in my in-box that still need to be added). They break down as follows:
3 DIS rooms on Deck 8
16 DIS rooms on Deck 7
21 DIS rooms on Deck 6
7 DIS rooms on Deck 5
5 DIS rooms on Deck 2
0 DIS rooms on Deck 1

ConleyFam said:When we paid off our first set of point, Kelly Jo - our DVC person, suggested we put the balance on the Disney Visa first, then pay it off. That way, we would earn our reward dollars for the pay off! HMMMM how to use the $$$.
I've never had a Konk Kooler but if Cindy's mentioning says anything, they ought to be yummy!
