Whew! I'm finally caught up. Yesterday was a crazy day and I was so wiped I fell asleep at 7 pm (which is why I'm now up posting at midnight) :)

The plan was to meet some old friends from High School for lunch and a house tour. We do this every year usually back in my old neighborhood with a showcase house. They weren't doing it this year so one of the women suggest a museum house north of me. One of the women couldn't make it so there would just be three of us. The plan was to meet at 11:30. Should work out fine to be home in time for dinner with the in-laws (more on that later). We get home from grocery shopping and there is a message on the machine from my friend Karen saying they will be running late and won't get there until 12 because she has to drop her daughter off somewhere first. So I call her back and say fine but the tour hours are 1 pm and 3 pm and I don't think we'll make the first and I really can't stay for the second. But we agree to meet for lunch and then they will go on to the museum on their own. No big deal.

I had some errands to run for the cruise (needed new ink cartirdges, envelopes and labels for the button/navigator packets). Was able to stop at a Best Buy before lunch but only go the ink cartridges. So I get to the resturant at 11:58. No sign of them, not a surprise as Karen is always late. It is a nice day, there is a bench outside, I sit and wait. At 12:30 still no sign so I call Mark to see if he heard from them. Nope! They finally show up at 12:45! Now I love both of these women dearly but they both still live in the 1950's. No cell phones, no cable tv, one doesn't even drive! I won't even bother trying to explain the looks I get from them when I try and explain the DIS and this group!!!!!! Still we have an enjoyable lunch and I'm back headed home after running the last of my errands.

I get home to find Mark has talked to MIL and FIL and informed them we are going out to eat (can't cook here as the dining room table is full of travel stuff and thought FIL deserved better than just pizza for his birthday dinner). Haven't heard from BIL yet. Mark thinks to check his work e-mail and sure enough there is an e-mail from BIL saying they will be over at 5 but need to leave by 7. I suggest that he call BIL and tell them to meet us at the resturant. He tries to call but there is no answer at the house and the cell goes right into voice mail. MIL and FIL show up and inform us that BIL and his wife won't be coming as they don't like where we are going to eat. :confused3 Ok the whole reason we waited until this weeked was because they were out of town last weekend and FIL's birthday was this past Thursday.

So off we go for a nice meal at Macaroni Grill which I knew my MIL would now hate because her baby boy said he didn't like it. Got some major major guilt over dinner about our trip and how much MIL wishes she was coming with us. They are instead going out to CA to see her Brother. They also asked us what our plans are for next year. We kept mum about Hawaii and said we were just waiting to see what DVC had to offer (which is the truth). The one really good thing that came out of the evening is that since they get back from CA two days before we leave for WDW they gave us our anniversary present last night. Actually we will get it on the cruise as they (along with BIL and his wife) gave us a room credit. Nice! Of course even then MIL had to bring up during dinner that when she called the girl on the phone said "It's been a while since you sailed with us". Yep they haven't sailed on DCL since we all went in 2003.

So not has crazy a day as Cindy had but still exausting. I'm heading back to bed now. Sunday will be Mass, lots of laundry, updating my packing spreadsheet and generally getting things ready for the trip. I can't wait for our road trip and to see all of you!
Wow, that was a busy day. And all those plan changes, they would drive me crazy in the end. But :cool1: for not having to cook dinner last night!

Good morning Member Cruisers
- we sail in 14 days!

13 days until the pre-cruise DIS meet in the Solarium at Beach Club!

party:

Two weeks from today we sail!

Way back in December it seemed like we'd never get on the ship, and now it's just 14 days away. And in 7 days we'll be at Epcot picking up our replacement DDE card since we can't find it, and checking out the The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

We're hoping to meet up with our former neighbors who've since moved away. They'll get to meet Ian for the first time and we'll get to meet their 10 month old grandson for the first time.

Here's a few more tips for the soft serve (which is now at Goofy's Galley which is in the place of Scoops).

1) Grab a cup from the drink station and fill it part way up with soft serve. Go back to the drink station and add Coke for a Coke float. Sorry no root beer at the drink station. Thanks to Karen (ohiomnnie) for this one.

2) Grab a couple of cookies from the buffet. Put some soft serve on one and the other cookie on top. Instant ice cream sandwhich! Thanks to Jim (Scuba Diver from the blabbermouths) for this one.

Name hasn't been changed as of 9/28. Still Scoops. It is suppose to change to Goofy's Galley while in dry dock. They were still serving bowls of ice cream at Scoop's as of 9/28. Will be fun to see the new changes when she comes out of dry dock!

They also had Brownies at Scoops so we made Chocolate Brownie Sundaes! YUMMY!

I wonder if they can do home delivery too? :lmao:
Of course they can. They're with our cruise docs. :rotfl:

We thought they did. But last night KT realized she forgot to grab the $3 Hello Kitty purse. Oops. They could have gotten $341 worth of stuff!!! :lmao:
Oh darn! I think you should ask for a do-over. :rotfl2:

Well, party day is here and I have a few more things to do around the house. Thankfully, the party isn't until 1pm. I sure hope that Emily is happy with this party. Now I remember why next year I should have the party somewhere else!!!
How was the party? I bet all those little princesses sipping tea and running around was LOTS of fun. (Got pics to share with us?)

Also, at the new Castaway Club Celebration you get Mickey Rice Krispy Treats. Two different ones. One is regular and the other is half dipped in chocolate!

Q's my princess (Laurie) who was on the 11 night with us wanted rice krispy treats everynight after that for dessert. Ivana (our server) went on the illusive hunt for the Mickey Treats and sure enough, she found the stash and Laurie had them every night after that!

Oh, and the number kept growing and growing, because more and more of the 12 of us at our table decided each night they were great to take back to our rooms for a late night bedtime snack!

I love Rice Krispy Treats! They are definitely the best for a bedtime/midnight snack!

That was the response from my one friend yesterday - aren't you afraid they will be serial killers. I informed her I met people on a cruise meets thread on a Disney message board - not some chat room for swingers! :lmao:
And just how do you know we aren't? :rotfl2: (We have a running joke on the Tagliarchy thread that we're all axe murderers. ;))

I thought that was what we all had in common--aren't we all serial killing swingers? :confused3 Man, I guess I need to find myself some new online friends then. :lmao:

Okay, all caught up. It's time to work on packing now.

Oh yeah, yesterday we didn't get a visit from the UPS guy with our docs, but we did have the police come out. ::cop: They got a call from the alarm company that we'd set off the panic alarm. Huh? Our alarm has been disconnected for the past couple of months with all the construction going on.

GREAT NEWS!

My sister, Debbie, got her test results back late yesterday and everything looks good with her heart! The doctor said she needs to definitely go on this cruise and enjoy! So she is coming! thanks everyone for sending pixie dust her way. She is now going to be able to enjoy her 1st cruise ever on the best cruise line!
Good news to hear Linda! I cruised with my sister last year and I know you'll have a great time together!

That's why I KNOW I went in and filled out that form to request ME! It was after Roxann posted it! I'm so mad at myself for not realizing I didn't have the tags. :sad2:
Diana, the first time I used ME was in their early days, and I never received any tags for them before I left. My luggage did make it to my resort just fine. However, you might want to give your airline your cell phone number just in case. One of my bags didn't get picked up by Disney, and because I had given Delta my cell phone number when I purchased my tickets, someone from the baggage claim called me to ask me what to do with my bag. When I told them I was staying at SSR, they said "Okay. I'll take it over to Disney for you." And that was that.

ETA: U TOP for me!!

That happened to us a few months ago. We were out to dinner, came home (alarm hadn't even been set) a few minutes later the sheriff shows up. We had to show him our license to prove we lived there.
