Long ago, I stopped saying "my friend that I met online" because of the looks that people would give me. So, now I just say "my friend who lives in ....." because then people accept it without giving me that look like "OMG, you met someone online that wasn't a serial killer".

Or, more likely, they ARE a serial killer, and they are glad you haven't gotten murdered yet!!! :earseek:

DH just can't have his bowl of ice cream in the afternoon without nuts!

He'll be surrounded by this bunch of folks, doesn't that count???? :lmao:

1) Grab a cup from the drink station and fill it part way up with soft serve. Go back to the drink station and add Coke for a Coke float. Sorry no root beer at the drink station. Thanks to Karen (ohiomnnie) for this one.

Yup, I'm just FULL off good ideas on how to pack in more calories on a cruise! :)

My kids response is "You spent alot of time telling us about some of the evil people on the internet, but you have no problems meeting people and cruising with them. :rotfl: They just don't get it.

Yeah, but you aren't meeting ONE other person in a bar in some seedy area of town. I highly doubt some killer is going to meet his victim online and then pay thousands of dollars to cruise so he can kill his victim!!

Hey everyone - we have survived!! Emily had a great party and the little girls seemed to have a lot of fun. And, my mom as the Fairy Godmother worked out fantastically. Here's a couple of pictures.

Thankfully my sister hangs out on the DIS too, so I at least have some company. The rest of our family do the eye roll thing when we mention our DIS friends. Their Loss!
Thankfully, most of our family understands it, since they've met different people through the internet. Now, none of them as Disney crazy as we are (except for my CM mom, who I keep trying to convince to join the DIS), but they all get it.

Here's a few more tips for the soft serve (which is now at Goofy's Galley which is in the place of Scoops).

2) Grab a couple of cookies from the buffet. Put some soft serve on one and the other cookie on top. Instant ice cream sandwhich! Thanks to Jim (Scuba Diver from the blabbermouths) for this one.
Hmmm, I might just have to bring a 6-pack of root beer on the trip!!!

I think I'm finally all caught up for the day. I wonder how many pages I'll have to wade through tomorrow. I'm hitting the hay now cuz the trim guys are supposed to show up at 7:30 in the morning to finish up their part. I can't wait until this work is done, unfortunately it looks like not until after we get back from the cruise.

You can't afford to skip a day now as we get closer to the cruise I have 30 pages to catch up on just from Friday.

::yes:: We'd have an extra week to "play" together.

Sure but I don't know where we are going to stay! Maybe we can just take over the Solarium at BCV until our DIS meet. :rotfl2:

Hi everyone we just got back from Disney. WOW page 1420 my notes here say the last page I read was 1251. Guess i got some reading to do. I just wanted to give a quick review. DH and I checked into to the Yacht Club on tues. lovely room with a king bed. We did the F&W fest adults only until fri. I am sure I gain 5lb! We did the Chilean dinner on thur night and they drove us around the backstage area in a towncar to get to the dinner. Our son and grandparents joined us on fri. and we moved into a 2 bedroom at SSR. It was our son birthday and we had a Mickey cake from the Boardwalk bakery. Next we went to MNSSHP. What a birthday even the grandparents were impressed. :woohoo:

TOO FUNNY. Personally, I probably won't sleep, HAHAHA. Well actually I'd better because I have to drive from Rhinebeck, NY. Planning to leave at 2pm, arrive at home at 6:00pm, leave for airport at 6:30 for our late flight.
I'm just worried the car might break down or I will get stuck in traffic or BOTH. Sheesh, why did I do this to myself, I can still back out but I have a nonrefundable hotel ressie in Rhinebeck and my fiber addiction is calling me almost as much as my Disney addiction :goodvibes

Ilene - what's in Rhinebeck this time of year? Leaf viewing or the airdrome? We lived just south of Rhinebeck in Wappingers Falls for many years, so we know the area well.

That's a great idea! And what a reminder of a great time with friends.

We did something like that for our wedding. Instead of a sign-in book that would be shoved away somewhere never to be seen again, we had everyone sign the mat for our Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract). It's hanging in our bedroom and I absolutely love it! It's one of the few non-Disney pieces we have hanging on our walls.

Ketubah-web.jpg

Robin - what a great idea. And I might say that is a beautiful Ketubah.

Funny story. We thought we had lost ours in our move from upstate to where we live now. Last winter, Judy decided to give it one more try and checked the 5 last boxes we hadn't gotten around to unpacking (and we've been here 16 years!) Sure enough, it was at the bottom (along with some missing diplomas) of one of the boxes. The rason we had misse dit before was becuase the last time we looked in that box, what we though was the bottom was just a picture covering the rest of the stuff.

I'd need to have a few drinks before I'd start doing karaoke! :drinking1: :drinking1:

That's what I did wrong on our recent cruise. I did the karoake sober. Maybe I would have sounded better if aI had a few :rotfl2:
