Cheryl I would call your new surgon on Monday and let them know that you can't stand it any longer. I don't know what happened on GH but ocycodone is safe and if you are in that much pain you should take it. You will not become addicted from taking it for a short period of time. It will help with the pain but will probably make you tired so no driving or operating dangerous machinery. (now I sound like I am at work)

Julie glad to hear that your bags are getting fixed. It sounds like everything is going well.

I can't believe all the stories about fast food. They are making me sick. Last week we went to Wendy's and Jessica wanted a cheesburger plain. This should not be too hard. About half the time we order things plain they come with all the stuff so I usually look before we leave. This time they sent a bun with nothing on it. I was really mad and took it inside. The manager asked who did this and the guys working just laughed and walked away. I was standing there and no one was making me a new cheesburger because all the cooks were in the back room laughing. Since the girls were with me I just waited for a new one which the manager finally made. He never even said sorry just handed me a bag and walked away. I was so mad but just let it go. We will not be going there again.

I love our DVR. We also have Dish and are so happy with it. We used to have Direct TV and switched to Dish because they had a better deal at the time. I really like that Dish has one box that you can use for two rooms. We can watch any of the recorded stuff in either room. I don't know what I would do without it.

Been so busy around here I didn't get to come into chat last night - sure hope to make it on Sunday.

Curt - my guess for that puzzle is "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow".

Got to get back to work - so much to do, so little time - yikes! :earseek:

:surfweb: Good Morning all,

Greetings from Port Orleans, French Quarter!! - This was a last minute trip that we got a deal on airfare for so we grabbed whatever. Using a dial-up connection through the cell phone. I MISS MY HSIA!!!
2.gif
YO Disney, multi million dollar corportation - TAKE HINT from other Hotels FREE INTERNET!! The guest loyalty will be worth the cost!!

Glad everthing worked out in Chicago...

Won't even comment on the Fast Food nightmares. As a cop I constantly worry about the kids behind the counter. So many cops have been subject to extra little goodies in their food, from saliva to Visene. I avoid drive through and I only eat at places where I CAN see them putting the order together, Subway, Taco Bell, etc.

Congrats on Post 400

OK breaking the NO HINT rule - Tomorrows pic will have a MAJOR surprise!!! WTHeck I WAS supposed to lose this game. So stay tuned all you weekday posters.

BTW for all you imbibbers Karen will praise the quality of the drink called the FACE OFF, at the ESPN club at the Boardwalk... TIGERS WIN, Twins and Pale Hosers (sorry, Cameron) went down. Hey where else did you think we were going to spend the rest of the night after Fantasmic???

Talk to you all later

Whoops - in my excitment of guessing - I didn't see that someone had already guessed the one guess I put in today!

Oh well, back to cleaning.

Ian's school just finished their wrapping paper & cookie dough fundraiser. David took the order form to his office for a week and got not one single order! After all the support he's given to fundraisers for everyone else's kids, I'm just so angry that no one found it in them to reciprocate.

We learned that a few years ago.

Good Morning! - I think the Ibuprofhen will be enough to get rid of the pain, but I will keep the oxy script incase things get worse.

I will call the Doctor's office on monday and see what they say to me. I may have Todd call.

Btw Curt I believe the wide world of sports complex is testing free wifi access.

Yeah, I know...and I do tend to go overboard too. I'm such an avid knitter I could probably open my own yarn store, albeit a small store ;-) The reason I've steered clear so far is like with beading (yup, do that too and quilting and sewing and spin my own yarn and weave, etc.), all the choices are overwhelming and instead of being a relaxing hobby I wind up stressing about it. But if I approach it as i did the altered paint can (with the idea already in my head or down on paper) and go in the stores looking just for what i need it could work....yeah right who am i kidding :rotfl2:
Anyway I'm thinking I'll do the black cover on this scrapbook to match the altered paint can and the two can be displayed as a set...we'll see.

I'm really close to 300 so you'll have to put up with a few more posts.

That will be cool displaying them as a set. I'm debating on doing an altered paint can for this trip. I might wait till after we get back to see what goodies we und up with.

Doesn't that drive you batty.
I know I try to remember anyone who has ordered from any of Nick's fundraisers and do the same for that person. I guess that's me. There is kind of a little circle of us that kind of buy from each other.

Well I went to the ER. Long story short after a lot of hours they discharged me.
(They said ER will not do operation unless stone is in bile duct.)
I have 2 prescriptions, 1 for IBU 600 and 1 for oxycodone ( which I don't plan on using thanks to general hospital.)
Ok time to get some zzz's..

I hate to say it doesn't surprise me they didn't operate, If they don't consider it a threat it stays put. When I had problems I was borderline being sent to the ER. My blood count was very out of wack but they couldn't operate because I had a stone caught in the duct by my pancreas and I had to do an out patient thing were they had to do a scope down my throat to remove that one stone to avoid me getting pancreaitis. A week and a half later I had my surgery scheduled. My doctor gave me specific instructions that if such and such happened I had to call her and get my butt to the hospital.

We made it to see :sulley: :cheer2:

It was quite an experience. First we couldn't get out of our neighborhood due to flooding. Every which way I went, it was way deeper than anyone was attempting to get through. Finally I headed south and went through the back streets and a big puddle and got out onto the main roads. From there, I circled 3 times on the highway --- debating about whether this was a good idea or not. Of course, Walker wanted to go. Then he didn't want to go. Then he wanted to go again. Around and around and around we went.

We finally made it to the arena -- to find that their parking lot was flooding and closed. So, we parked where we could, at a much cheaper price :teeth: and made it into the show shortly after it started.

Walker's beat and already in bed for the night.

I liked the show --- I liked the second 1/2 much better than the first. Maybe I had just relaxed enough to really start to enjoy it. Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy made their appearances as well.

When we sat down, we had seats probably 8 rows from the ice. There was a railing directly in front of us and on the other side of it, a brick divider. I said to Walker, look, it's a monorail. I really thought they had a mini-version of a monorail as part of the show and just couldn't place where that would be in Monsters Inc. So, I'm sitting there, looking at this monorail track and I follow it along to see that people are sitting directly against it around the bend. Now I can't figure out how they are going to make the monorail appear when there are people sitting against the track.

Finally it dawned on me that the Allstate Arena is also home to the Chicago Wolves hockey team. And, the monorail track that I've been staring at isn't really a monorail track, but the outside of their ice rink. I started laughing to myself -- feeling like a total WDW nut in the wrong place. I really, really thought it was the monorail. I'm glad I only told Walker what it was and no one else sitting near us.

Disney on the brain, what more can I say? :rotfl2:

Glad you were still able to go to the show. Okay! So you are a Disney nerd! What's wrong with that>>>

Nope, never can get enough. And, I do need a Disney fix. Always!

As the show was ending and Mickey was waving goodbye, I leaned over to Walker and said "say see you in a couple weeks". To my surprise, Walker yelled it out -- usually he's too cool to do those types of things anymore :( . As he was gone, Mickey said "see you really soon". Talk about chills! It was like he heard Walker in the crowd :teeth:
That's so sweet!

:cheer2: Way to go Ilene!! Congratulations on 300+ posts! :thumbsup2

Cheryl - feel better. Glad the ER gave you something for the pain. Hopefully, a week from now you will have the surgery and on the way to feeling better!

We sail in how many days?? O M G how will I get it all done :faint: ha ha, actually I think we are well on our way to being good to go with wedding and cruise items.

We did have a snag this week that I was able to correct (and I have no recollection if I already told you guys this so if I did just ignore me, I have bride brain - I'm sure pregnancy brain will be worse!)

Our welcome bags came in - we ordered these awesome zippered tote bags and I was so excited to open the box.. imagine my surprise to find our beautiful bags complete with monogram and date etc that had NO ZIPPER. UGH - so I called, got a wonderful customer service rep who said she'd call me back on Thursday. Thursday pm I called again and left a message and hoped they would call 1st thing on Friday. Friday morning I call again and get a different rep who says "oh yes so and so is working on it but she's not in till noon" I put my best smile on, explained that we leave in 4 weeks and their normal production time is 3 full weeks and as a bride I really could not wait until she came in couldn't someone handle it now. Luckily they did and offered us 2 solutions. 1. Keep the bags we have at 50% off or 2. they would ship us the correct bags and we'd have them by Oct 2/3 with no cost to us. I went with 2 (hello that's the bags we ordered) and now have 48 extra bags - lol oh boy - with our wedding date on them. I guess we need to figure out what we are doing with them. We did have to send 2 to the warehouse as proof which was not a problem for us.

Hey you never know if you might need a back up for something. I'm not sure for what right this second but you never know.

:cheer2: Ilene - Congrats on post 300!! :cheer2:

:dance3: Curt - Congrats on post 400!! :dance3:

Good idea. It may come across better from a third party like that. Instead of looking like you're whining about the pain, you have an unbiased (kinda) person saying "look, she's miserable and cannot tolerate this."

but their first question back will probably be "is the oxycodone helping at all?"

I know when I've needed to be seen sooner rather than later, I've let Mike do the calling. Part of it was that he's a doctor, but part of it was he was a neutral party---the one not going through the actual situation.

For example, when I was pregnant with Nick my labs were off. They called and said instead of having a 1 in 5,000 chance of having a baby with Down's syndrome, based on my labs I had a 1 in 20 chance. And they had taken the liberty of scheduling me for a level 2 ultrasound and possible amnio in TWO WEEKS.

Afer Mike heard that he called the OB....and said "listen, I know my wife. She will worry herself sick about this for the entire time. She won't eat, she won't sleep, she'll do nothing but cry.....isn't there ANY way we can get her seen earlier even if it's at a different facility?" I only had to cry, not eat, and not sleep for two DAYS b/c of Mike's intervention.

Great idea to have Todd call. :)

Yeah - I got my DDE card in the mail today. One more thing to check off the list! 4 weeks from today we'll be getting ready for the DIS meet in the Solarium!

After our talk of ring tones the other day Mark hooked up the software to load the files onto my phone. My phone now plays the ships horn as my ring tone (the same one found on our web site). It was recorded by Mark on our very first cruise back in 1999!

Mary I got mine too! YIPPEE it's all for real now!

Curt, was hoping to catch up on the happenings at WDW during friday night chat. Guess the dial up explains why you didn't make it. Hope the tigers don't rain on your trip. You and Karen enjoy.

Tom - I love the Member Cruise logo you designed. Very cool!
