Not me, I'm much too shy to meet people from the internet!

Eh--that excuse doesn't fly anymore b/c most of you know I met Bruce online AND I'm one of the more active posters on this thread. :lmao:

I didn't think so but had to ask. One of the funniest moments of that DIS meet (no not John asking Mary where her KTTW card was) was after the meet was over. I think the meet went about 45 minutes or so. As we were leaving Mark and I both decided to stop in the bathrooms. I go in to do my business and then I hear someone come in and yell out "Is there a Mary in here? From the DIS?" Shocked I yell out yes. Finish up, open the door and I'm met with a women who says "Hi, sorry I'm late but can I have my button?" Uh, sure can I wash my hands first? :rotfl:

Now that's Funny! :rotfl:

We did not do the meet because we didn't know about the Dis then. We sure as heck do now!!

Welcome Aboard!

Heading off to chat - hope to see some of you there!

Okay, all the CJ photos that were posted inspired me to get out my scrapbooking. I have taken over the dining room. I have all the Repo cruise pictures from last summer to scrap. LOTS of pictures! Sheesh

I was at the meet in the Land pavilion by myself. My DH had to fly home that morning to attend his nephew's wake and funeral. He flew back in time for the party at the MK.

So all you who came to Member Homecoming - did any of you come to the DIS meet at the Land? I know Gail & John, Cheryl & Todd, and Mary and Karen did. Anyone else?

We were also at Member Homecoming! (this was when I was still shy and didn't post much on this board) We were with the same couple we went on SSMC03 with, only this time, we had baby Emma with us (8 months old) and I was quite pregnant with Julia. So if you were sitting on a bench by Mission Space the night at Epcot, chances are you sat by me at some point! :rotfl2: Or if you waited in line for the Artists drawings near Ariel's Grotto, you were probably near me too! That was a great opportunity for gigantic me to get off my feet and watch those guys draw--I could do that for hours.

I'll be in chat tonight---I have some Teas that need drinking. :drinking1

Walker walked around Epcot with a pair of those light up sunglasses on that night. I was chasing behind him.

We also have a water bottle fight through the MK the next night. It's one of our favorite Disney memories. I know we ran through the middle of Mark & Mary's picture being taken by Gail & John. It wasn't until way into the SSMC05 thread that I figured out that Gail was Gail from MH. ;)

What a sad memory.

I hope he was able to enjoy some of the trip.

My humble apologies bot nanajoy and Cindy. See I knew there where others but my brain is mush!

In honor of our 6 week mark I think it is time for another round of GTKYKFC SSMC06 edition:

This years theme is Celebrating Magical Milestones so tell us about your first time at each of the following that apply (including how old you were, who you were with, where you stayed and best memory of that trip).

1. Disneyland

2. Walt Disney World

3. Disney Vacation Club (first stay as a member)

4. Disney Cruise Line

5. Tokyo Disneyland

6. Disneyland Paris

7. Hong Kong Disneyland

1. never been
2. Best was trip when son was 3 1/2yo. He fell asleep on the drive in to the contemporary tower room. We placed him on the bed. When he woke a few minutes later he asked if we were there. We walked him over to the window (facing Cindys Castle) and parted the closed curtains. The expression on his face was just amazing and emblazoned into my memory.
I guess that memory even supercedes my honeymoon and first trip ever to Disney but that whole trip runs a very close second.
3. First DVC stay at BCV doesn't really ring a special memory for me.
4. First DCL trip was also my first ever cruise of any kind. I just kept thinking this feels like a hotel not a ship. I remember thinking how lucky I was to experience this.
5.6.7. Haven't happened yet.

Does anybody know what is the best kind of paint to use to paint kid's faces? we are having face painting at our Fall Festival Oct. 14, but not sure what is the best. Does Michael's sell it? Connie

to chipscinderelly and wdwlvr, thanks for your answer about that float and tube rental, when i showed dw your answer, she says don't you remember we had the two day rental on the 03 members cruise, now why didn't she say that before i stewed on the dcl answer for two days?
