Wow! We really are getting close to two big milestones - 15,000 posts and 1,000 pages. I'm sure we'll get there today.

Mail Alerts - Did anyone else receive their Vacation Magic yesterday? I just noticed it on the kitchen counter. We also received a new Refer a Friend flyer too. This is similar to what DVC did earlier in the year. Refer a friend and receive a $50 Disney Gift Card. You can receive up to $200 in GCs. The good news is that the gift cards can be redeemed at select merchandise, ticketing, food and entertainment locations at DL and WDW. They can even be used aboard DCL or Disneyshopping.com and Disney Stores throughout the US. This is a much better deal than last year since there are more ways to redeem them. Last year it was only online at Disneyshopping.com.

We got the Refer a Friend mailing and I have big plans for it in this years scrapbook! We have gotten one RAF this year already so this will encourage us to kind spreading the magic!

No, running up my post count I admitted to. Getting post 15,000 was an accident. Go figure the stone I was going for I missed by a couple of seconds. The other one I totally forgot about. So - . Am I the only one who uses punctuation for smiles?

Here is my downer post for the day...

The worst duty that I perform is standing at funerals. A man or woman that I have never met, went to work one day and gave their life because some schmuck didn't get to do what he(she) wanted to. This punk in NY is a career thief. He is the prime suspect in a third police related shooting and the break in of a gun shop where 41 weapons were stolen. This fool has had nothing better to do with life than take things from hard working people who have what he wants. Good luck to the NYSP! (putting away my soapbox)

I really agree Curt. But the problem even goes deeper than just that. I see all these newscasts about some mope who got "famous" by tempting fate with WILD ANIMALS and the press make him out to be a martyr or something and then "oh yeah btw some cop died in NY state trying to protect the citizens" is like a tiny blup if at all. Very frustrating to me too.

Good morning from DL!

I was chatting with a few of the CMs at the DVC kiosks last evening while walking around DD here at DL. A bit of news for the rumor mill - seems that Jim Lewis and other big shirts from either DVC or Disney are also staying here at GC. There's meetings going on this week and an announcement is supposed to be coming up in Oct. No word on a DL DVC or they won't say so but I did get that little tidbit from a few of the CMs last night.
Just thought I would share a bit of news today - I'm going to get ready to do some park hopping today - have a great day!

I dont know if some one else has thought of this as I am answering as I go but wouldnt a DVC cruise be a FABULOUS place to make a MAJOR DVC announcement???????????

It was funny to see the stall in posts. Julie was around for last years cruise where we would post up to the major milestone and then wait for someone else to "snag" the winning post.

I wouldn't know anything about running up post counts. You'd never catch me doing anything like that.

Oh I love them too! But I'm finding them intimidating! Robin's is a great place for me to start! I hope this isn't coming out wrong that I'm offending anybody. I don't mean it to be like that! I'm one that works with numbers and not very creative! Give me a spreadsheet..........

One thing I did was pick up some of the kits and a book from Micheals that had some paper in it and page ideas. I didnt actually "copy" the pages but used them "more like guidelines" and ALWAYS lay out the pages dry first to see what you are happy with and then attach them.

My brother has offered to make removable bumper stickers for the group. I will give them out at the precruise gathering. Wow! I leave for a little while and I miss everything!!

Congrats on page 1000 and post 15000!! Major milestone day here!!

The teacher visit went as well as can be expected. Well, first she showed up a half hour early. Luckily, I had my clothes on! So then I was scrambling and I hadn't locked the dog up, so when she realized someone was here she barked the entire time. Now because she's deaf, if I lock her up, she doesn't know anyone is there. Or usually when she barks like that I give her a kick and push her on her way (not hard just a little tap), but I didn't want to seem like and animal abuser, so the dog barked the whole time....I couldn't get her to stop. I put Julia in the other room with a box of crayons and a coloring book and that went well---until she had enough and wanted back in and decided to steal the crayons the teacher brought Emma. THAT didn't go well. She was nice and Emma liked her alot, I think school is going to go well.
