We got our VM on Saturday and the referral thing yesterday. Emma saw it and said, Mommy, that's mail from Mickey! That's one smart kid I have!

Who needs preschool. She's already getting the best education!

Hmmm! I wonder if we could sneak in a quick trip before the holidays! Then again, I wonder if rooms would even be available at this late date! Need or want. Big difference to me. I have a bunch of stuff that I've collected that I know I won't use -- those stickers do me in everytime I'm in the scrapbook store, although it seems like a lot of scrappers are getting away from using stickers.

Tell me about it. I have a room full of supplies that I just had to have, and most of it I'll probably never use. I'm hoping to weed through all of it when I move rooms. I've also been trying to use up stuff I have on hand without purchasing anything else. Thing is, it feels like I haven't even made a dent.

Good morning from DL!

I was chatting with a few of the CMs at the DVC kiosks last evening while walking around DD here at DL. A bit of news for the rumor mill - seems that Jim Lewis and other big shirts from either DVC or Disney are also staying here at GC. There's meetings going on this week and an announcement is supposed to be coming up in Oct. No word on a DL DVC or they won't say so but I did get that little tidbit from a few of the CMs last night.
Just thought I would share a bit of news today - I'm going to get ready to do some park hopping today - have a great day!

Looks like I've been talking to myself this morning. I'll quit now to go work on some stuff around the house. I'm waiting for someone to come sit with the house while the sheetrock workers are upstairs. They're having to go up/down the stairs and I just don't feel comfortable leaving them with the house wide open.

I am SO hoping that the family who is flying down and back up with us in October end up buying into DVC. I know they have already requested a information packet and we have made reservations for them at SSR for their week. I'm hoping that actually staying in the villas themselves is enough of a push to make the leap. They are now a family of 5 so their options are going to be limited once the baby is 3 (she's only a couple months now).

The Sears technician came out today for the preventative maintenance on the fridge and freezer. He saw our cruise magnets on the fridge and started talking about how they would like to go on a cruise sometime. Now they like to go to Disney. They usually stay out on the coast (by Daytona Beach) but now that the kids are getting older, he wants to start staying closer and more than likely onsite. He said he was having trouble with Expedia booking flight AND room reservations for the same days (not totally sure what he was talking about b/c we've never done Expedia) So he asks me how do we book our room.....

uh....membership services.

So we get to talking about DVC and the man is ON FIRE. He is SO excited. He wants all the info. We talk about Saratoga Springs, and Member Getaways, and point charts, and annual dues, and Disney Vacation Club guides. He gives me his name/address/phone number/email so I can "refer a friend." And I give him what DVC stuff I have around here that will give him a preview. He left here saying he was so glad those DCL magnets were on the fridge!!!

Ya just never know where you'll bump into another Disney fanatic!

I'm not that far from the city...Just a straight shot up I-55. Probably 25 min(with no traffic)...So not out in the boondocks here!

Sorry again Tina - your location isn't in your profile so I honestly forgot. Now I won't make that mistake since it's certainly more than just 2 families.

LOL Um and from someone who lived in Glendale Heights, then the City proper, then Naperville, yes, anyone outside the city limits is considered out there know what I mean?

Good question. I'd call your guide just to be certain. I don't have the referral information with me at the office and Tom isn't home at the moment or I'd have him check to see what the fine print said.

Just a question,

Has anyone hear any whispers about MK refurbing the Indy Cars to a Cars character theme. One of the fellows at work said he had heard that the cars were going to be refurbed to look like Lightning McQueen and the other racers... Anyone else heard this through the grape vine?
