Is anyone else cleaning? I've finished the pool and now I am looking at the really dirty windows. Do you think they will get clean if I just keep looking at them? I wish.

The talking on the cell phone is another issue all together. Do you ever notice, when someone is really driving irratically or having an issue in front of you, chances are they are on the phone? I had this happen on the way back to MCO the other day --- I'm waiting to pay my toll, the guy in front of me is weaving all over the road, then gets up to the toll booth and we sit there. I then notice the head cocked to the side --- holding up a phone to his ear. I will never understand how people don't see that they are putting others in harms way doing things like this.

Ok, that is my biggest pet peeve right now!! I went without a cell phone for the past few years and became VERY aware at how every time I saw a driver not paying attention, they were on the phone. Now that I have a cell phone again, I try to keep my phone calls to just a minute or two and get back to business.

Tom just called and I am kinda freaking out. The fire hall, police dept and city hall all use a cleaning service. As part of the agreement everyone that cleans there has to have a criminal background check before working and they have to have a clean record. Last night they sent someone new and today they noticed that many peoples pictures were missing. He took pictures of everyone's children. They found out who was cleaning and ran a check and he is a registered sex offender in Fl. The police arrested him and found all the pictures. This creep had pictures of my girls. He was arrested for many counts of felony for stealing the pictures and hopefully they can get him for other things. At least they found him right away. Tom's name is on his office and he could have found us easily.

Ann Marie, I would be freaking out! OMG!!

It is great that they were able to find him. Hopefully he will rot in jail where he belongs.

Most likely, it wouldn't be worth the cost in the mileage. Sorry about that.

They are coming here on Monday and it will be nice to have clean windows (for the week -- until the first rainfall it seems). I don't have a big house but they will do all the windows, inside and out, storms and screens, along with the sills for about $120. Well worth it.

Especially since I have a home business, about 36% of that becomes a direct write off on our taxes. So, when I take that out, it's only costing us about $75. For the convenience of it, and the fact that it's done all at once instead of us doing a window here and there, it's well worth it.

They use to visit my house every other week.

I'd take the kids out on Wednesday morning while the cleaning people were here. We'd come home and any toys left out were put away. I could see the kids looking around at the house, like how did that happen??? Until then, I didn't think they noticed much of anything laying around as they usually walk right over it or on top of it to get to whatever strikes there fancy at the time.

Now I just have them come on a non-schedule basis. When I feel we're in for a good clean, they come and spruce the place up. I do have to say, that it's nice to come home to a clean house.

These are the first pics I am posting taken with my NEW Sony H-2 camera. I went to get an H-5 but the sales girl showed me that all the features were the same on the two except 7mp and a 1/2 in larger LCD screen. However the H-2 was $100 cheaper and she said unless I am gonna print like 14 x 20 or larger I wouldnt notice the MP difference.

Great pictures. I love the sharpness. That sunset is gorgeous. The first one looks spot on with the exposure.

Well a pretty quiet day here on the board. Except for the obvious. Those darn window washers and house cleaners making drive by attacks. Society today .

Time for me to log off and get ready for the night shift. Tonight I'm off to (those who are not aware) a newer Detroit area tradition called the Woodward
Dream Cruise. (dragonslayer will not be having PTSD flashbacks) There is going to be a display of classic police cars, fire engines, ambulances and military vehicle to supplant all the classic autos hanging out in the one area.

Happy trails for all DisSers traveling this weekend. Karen and I might do an impromptu trip to the windy city sometime next week for our birthdays. That idea is still up in the air, so....
