2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006 Part 4

Day one of school is over and we all lived through it. It was actually very fun. I hope the rest of the days work out like this. We still don't have the books that come with our program but just worked online and used workbooks we have at home. There were a few things we couldn't do today but we made up for it by doing extra math. The girls are outside having recess.


It is so true that like Amy said 10% of the people do 90% of the work. I have seen this at Brownies, school and gymnastics. Everyone wants to do new and fun things and never helps. At gym no one wants to run any fundraisers and all they do is complain that we need to do more. When you suggest they be in charge of one they just walk away.

That's why we never have any neighborhood activities. I got tired of being the one to plan them. Everyone's always agreeing at the meetings that we should do more together - there are only 10 houses in our HOA - but no one ever volunteers to plan anything. We've even quit doing anything for National Night Out.

The manager at the Walmart I went to said that they would not be reimbursed if more than one coupon showed up on the receipt. Don't know if this it true or not but wasn't in the mood to argue with her.

Hmm weird - we used 2 coupons at the Walmart near our home right before it expired... or maybe it was Target???

Either will work, I've used both in the past. I think this time around I chose to go with Sonic Boom.

Alien Green is the first choice but people have been known to use Sonic Boom to.

When I did the DIS meet sign I used both!

I did order from K12 last week and I ordered second and forth grade. I think I will change and have them share science and history. I joined the K12 yahoo group and I am trying to catch up before posting there about their grades. Thank you so much for your help.

I just received an email update from my sister about my Mom.

They did a scope yesterday to see if they could find anything in the stomach and found her entire esphogus is filled with ulcers. They are going to do a scan to see if there is a tumor in the stomach or pancreas to cause this as what is there is very much out of the ordinary. They are giving her mega doses of medicine for the ulcers and are going to try and get her to eat something small several times a day.

Maybe we'll have a chance to go over there this afternoon to see again first hand what's up.

Cindy - I Hope your mom is on the mend!!!

Cindy and Mary--Glad you guys had a great visit.

Your concert experience kind of reminds me of my experience at the MK watching Spectro last Saturday night. Nothing but a bunch of low class rude people. You know me--I don't like to touch people, so I staked out my spot and left about a foot and a half between me and the people in front of me. Well apparently, I've lost more weight than I though because it was seriously like I wasn't even there. As soon as the parade started 4--yes 4 people stepped in front of me and stood in the 18 inch spot between me and the guy in front of me. Uh hello? Do you see that I'm standing here?? No after waiting 40 minutes to see the parade, I'm 5 people back! I wanted to so badly to fight them on it, but I was in my happy place, the music was playing and I didn't want the anger to take over.

But---7 more weeks!!! We need to start packing!!!

Oh Diana that chaps my hide to no end!!! That happened to us on NYE last year at Epcot except we staked it out for 2 plus hours (we had a blast) and then some people tried to move in front of us as well as climb on my back and I politely but firmly said NO. They were not from the US (I know as they did not speak any english) and didn't understand but we soon came to agreement and they moved on.
